San Kebab And Pizza House in Portsmouth

Got a 9 inch pizza 🍕 omg was horrible and burnt like it was on fire 🔥 I could never give a customer food like this waste of money

I decided to order from San Kebab last night only to be very disappointed! I wasn't able to order anything under £15 so I ordered a medium kebab with a side of chips, but what I had delivered wasn't exactly the same! What I received was a TINY kebab that didn't even make up the size of a regular sized kebab, let alone the medium size I ordered. The portion of chips was no better either. The quality of the food was also disappointing what with being very dry and not even very warm, and the variety of salad was minimal. I'm VERY disappointed with San Kebab after this and won't be ordering from them again if this is the standard what they deliver to their customers.

Nice fast food shop close to the beach. The service was fast, the premises were clean. The price is affordable and the meal is in good quantity. The only thing that I didn't like was the bread that was tasteless and very dry. The meat was good but again a bit dry.

I have been using this place ever since I came to Portsmouth in 2015. It's a cracking little kebab shop which delves pizza's and burgers. Great after visiting the pub or you need a quick snack after a short walk with the dog. The meat is decently seasoned, pitta bread is a little small and feels a little cheap. The range of salad is good, although they could provide a little more. Overall I think it's a great place takeaway which could do with a few improvents.

Argued the toss about sending out stone cold food and refused to refund our money.The "pretending" manager as he put it himself, when asked why the cold cheesy chips they'd sent with stone cold unmelted cheese on top wasn't melted, his reply was " we don't melt the cheese" .!! Both mine and my Mrs food was so cold.It really was the poorest take away food we've ever had. Do not use this absolute joke of a kebab shop. Absolutely dire food and absolutely dire resolutions. ! !

And we walked in...8.30pm on a wk day....asked for chicken shish and chicken donner mix...put a chicken skewer on the burner....then served us 2 mins later....cut 3 pieces of old chicken in half ...cost £10, for this.....never again ....would post a picture but won't let me....

Not happy...ordered a chicken shish and chicken donner....8.30 on wk day....took the time to put the fresh chicken on the grill them served us 1 min later with old chicken and not the ones on the skewer..just 2 bits cut Into pieces that had been sat there for someone else...... It was curry wrap , rotten smell coming from Salad. It wasn't a good experience at all. The staff was rude as well maybe long hours.

Not sure what happened with the bad reviews? The food is great, service is spot on, pizza is just as good as the kebabs

Ordered garlic Mayo gave chilli how difficult Is it to do simple things this must be the 3rd time now, kebabs taste great but your staff are obviously painful :( :(

Great kebab full of lovely fresh salad

Paid online £43 driver asked for cash, rang san kebab was told didn't pay even tho had receipt and bank statement to prove! Was on hold for 10 mins to then be told it's only just gone through?! We then said we want refund and not food but was told they've already made food so will come back? Then my male partner came on the phone and straight away refund was said to be given within 48 hours? Really disappointed

I went with my friends after playing football in the park. Workers very nice. Would go again. Though the BBQ chicken was a tad raw in the middle I really enjoyed it. The only thing I would change is making it free 😂.

Absolutely disgusting!! AVOID!! They forgot my chips burnt my burger it was black couldn’t eat it and filled the sausage and chips with so much salt it was inedible disgusting, I rang to say about them and they put the phone down 5 times then they blocked my number unbelievable terrible service avoid if possible would rather eat a kamtoo or a Ken’s and that’s saying something

No sauce on both kebabs chilli and garlic wanted on both. How difficult is it to read simple instructions 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️like they don’t want customers. Useless

Absolutely awful undercooked greasy meat . Chips half raw very poor won’t be back . Can’t even blame shop being busy no one in there apart from about six people behind the counter . Clearly not in the mood to finish cooking the food expensive waste of money . Went in the bin .

Ordered a large chicken shish with chilli sauce, chips and seperate pitta. Got no pitta, no chilli sauce and burnt chips. Kebab wasn't great either. Won't be back.

Food still tastes good but the portion sizes today were absolutely shocking this is coming from a regular customer, never has my family of three been left still Hungary. Massive disappointment. Hopefully this isn’t the new money saving bright idea as can’t imagine I’ll be the only one to move on. Shame :(

I have come to this kebab shop consistently for the last 2 years and I have never been disappointed by the food. The staff are friendly and quick and the prices are very reasonable. Their pizzas are unmatched and their kebabs are the biggest around. They have kids meals and they have party deals, this shop really has it all. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good place to eat

This is and will always will be my favourite kabab shop, food is always top quality in freshness and taste, staff are friendly and welcoming to customers if you are around the area you have to go here for a small snack or family dinner. They have fish and chip shop meals aswell in case it’s 1am and you fancy it.

I went in here for the first time tonight and had a large lamb döner kebab. I had it with the chilli sauce and found it really delicious and full of flavour. Definitely I would come back again.

The chicken kabab is to die for after good night and service was friendly. Good food and nice staff what more could you ask for.

Used to be really good, but now they shut way before advertised time so can't trust them to be open anymore which is a shame.

Not the best kebabs in town, not even close. They are extremely stingy with their salad. I only go there because they are local to me. They always try to overcharge, as if they haven’t been doing it long enough to know their own prices.

Just had an amazing take away delivered from San Kebabs. The food was delicious and hot with great tasting garlic sauce. My son has ASD and is very funny about his food, they were amazing at accomdating his request. Thank you for fantastic service.

We have only recently started to order from here & so far we have really enjoyed the food we have ordered. Delivery was prompt & food delicious. We had a pizza last night & it was nicer than any of the pizzas we have had from the big chain pizza delivery companies

We order from san kebab last night as our usual place was unavailable. The kebab took a while to arrive which was expected with everything going on . The quality of the kebabs that arrived were absolutely dreadful ( see photo) the salad was virtually non existent and the meat sparse to say the least . I rang to complain and was told the coronavirus was to as they couldn’t get some ingredients and were extremely busy !! Why take So many orders if you haven’t got the food and can’t cope surely doing fewer of better quality to keep customers would be better. They did offer to come and collect when a driver was available but couldn’t tell me when so what was the point ! I had a phone call later to say they apologised and if I rang today would send us a kebab on the house.... not happening as after ringing tonight I’m not getting one as have them a bad rating on just eat . Keep your kebabs I’d rather let people know what to expect.

I have bought many times from them. The food is great. It's a pity,cause the problem is,they lie and i don't like it. It clearly says at the entrance that they accept card payments,and also they take over the phone. When i get there,the card machine "never works" So they say all the time. At this point i either start looking for an ATM or return the food. I don't like this practice,and if it happens again i will stop buying anything from them.

I’m a regular customer and tbf the foods ok, the last few times they have forgotten something or other on the order, website is pure crap, had a delivery tonight and the food looked like it was just slung in containers and was near on cold when it arrived, one more bad one and I’m off elsewhere, food ok but attitudes are awful.

Love the chicken filete burger. Also the cheese chips are yummy

I have waited to make my review, I have now been ordering Deliveries for a year now, these are the best kebabs and burgers I have tasted consistently for a long time, I really can not fault the place, I only live around the corner so feel very lucky that we have this place on our door step. Worst kebab I have ever had!! I would have been better eating my cat's food - It was indistinguishable from kitekat. Convinved myself I was going to be ill after eating the overcooked, tough fare that I was fed. Steer clear guys

So gutted as in 14 years we as a family have always got our kebabs from there and any issue they always sorted and food lovely. But today my order was wrong and it’s something I normally always have ! And they sent the wrong one , so phoned them and told them and they said I was wrong and they don’t do them like that but for years I have had them , so he said if I wanted it I’d have to pay again!!!!!! So they did do what I wanted !!!!!!! But wouldn’t change it . Gutted and so not impressed as I’m eating toast , so that’s me done I will not eat with you again!

can’t fault the food but the customer service was disgraceful. ordered food and was accused of shouting. and felt really belittled. it was only one guy in there with an orange t shirt on. i don’t like to complain but this was ridiculous there were two other ladies in the restaurant at the time and they agreed and complained how awful he was. will not be eating there again after being a treated like a pile of rubbish.

My mate order a Lamb shish kebab meal and the kebab meat was raw and pink still in the middle when he went to eat it and we rang up and they wouldn't do nothing about it, he's not very happy about it and won't be using San kebab again

Lovely kebab started doing red cabbage which is great and lots of salad this time (other times not much at all) it’s nice to have a lot of salad with a kebab

I have been using san kebab for a while now have tried a few others but no where near as good. Food always fresh kebabs and pizzas very nice.delivery very prompt staff friendly.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years now. I prefer the fresh chilli sauce and usually is a good meal. However on the last 2 occasions the chicken has been very dry. My partner left most of her meal tonight because the Pitta was saturated and said the chicken was also dry with a off putting taste. Unfortunately we won’t be ordering from here again!

I stopped Here for a kebab although the place was reasonably clean but no overly clean but still I was hungry. The kebab was alright but nothing special and the service was alright but nothing speacial

He estado usando San Kebab durante unos años sin quejas, la comida siempre es deliciosa con las carnes cocinadas muy bien. Los repartidores siempre son amables porque la comida se entrega en su mayoría antes del tiempo estimado. Estos tipos también usan bolsas de papel para la entrega en lugar de las de plástico, lo cual es MUY bueno para ver. Sería bueno ver los contenedores para la oportunidad de los kebabs de papel también, bien hecho en este cambio.

I have been using San Kebab for a few years now with no complaints, the food is always great tasting with the meats cooked nicely, The delivery guys are always friendly with the food mostly being delivered earlier than the estimated time given. These guys also use paper bags for delivery instead of the plastic ones, which is VERY good to see. Would be nice to see the containers for the kebabs chance to paper as well, well done on this change.
