Not tried the food but £1.50 for a 330ml can of drink.... that's a hard pass from me

Don't bother, the chicken was at least a few days old and was tasteless Wasted my time and money. They should really close the effing place down!

Spent 25 pounds for my sons birthday. Omg what a disappointment.. The chicken smelled so foul, like i cant even described it. The taste was horrendous. Even the dipping sauce were absolutely awful...like they've gone off or something.. One thing am definitely sure about is that the chicken were not fresh and had gone off 100%... Definitely reporting this to hygiene....

Ive been a regular customer for over a year now and felt quite dissapointed when they changed owners. The previous owner was really nice with customers and would often make you discounts if asked for a smaller portions, or had mineral water drinks be free. That said food is still as good as ever and its very well priced for what you get. Would still recommend giving it a try for those that havent done so already.

These guys know food! Amazing dribble worthy food and great service too. Our party had 3 burgers, a wrap & a milkshake all delicious, will definitely be returning!

Food is excellent and good value too. My medium piri-piri wrap was definitely large enough with a nice amount of heat! Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Good food, very tasty chicken burger with quick service. Limited drinks and table sauces during our visit. The spicy rice was old and reheated. No soap in the toilets for hand washing. Requires minor improvements for 5 stars.

Awful food delivered via the Havant and Waterlooville App. Everything cold and soggy. Soggy chips, cold halloumi cheese in watery sauce, slimy salad, very average spicy rice and the chicken itself was pathetic. So disappointing.

Delicious burgers, so the best I've eaten in Portsmouth. Be sure to ask for some avocado on it for just 60p. Super friendly staff, who made us feel so welcome

I went to this place today for some tasty lunch as I have happily come here before. However when I went today the food was horrible, it tasted so plain and not what we were expecting, as well as this the drinks were so warm when it should not be and the waiter served us terribly. Not a nice dine in at all!

Constantly great food, also great service, the owner is always present and polite. I was going to try the burger this time , but and the chicken strips are always so amazing, I couldn’t help myself… maybe next time. Great value, great portion size

Extremely mediocre... Chips proper salty and rice the generic microwaved stuff. Chicken should've been grilled however was microwaved. Not the best- won't return.

Popped in for a quick bite before going to guildhall for a show. The restaurant wasn't very busy The staff were friendly and obliging. Very large portions of fries were a little bland being under seasoned but otherwise nice. My burger patti was very nice thou complete burger was for my tastes hardwork due to too much fresh tomato and way too much mustard sauce making it too messy to eat and poor quality napkins don't help with the clean up.

Really lovely people and good food! They initially forgot to put my burger on to cook while I had some fries, and when I let them know they couldn't be more apologetic; insisting on giving me some more fries and another drink while I waited, even when I tried to insist it was ok and I was happy to pay for them. Burger was great too!

Every time I visit portsmouth I eat at Kango's. Best halal chicken place! Owner is super sweet and the food is amazing with giant portions. Would definitely recommend it!

This place is the best burger joint in Hampshire. The food is Amazing, I have been. A regular now for a while and the food gets better & better. The owner is such a lovely man always so friendly and welcoming. The rubs off to his staff who are great. The Decor is brilliant always a great atmosphere. Cannot praise the place enough. The whole experience. Keep up the great work.

Just not good really. Chicken isn’t cooked fresh- is reheated in microwave and wasn’t even hot the first time. Asked to be heated up. Then was still cold in the middle. Peri salt on the chips is extremely salty/sour. Very boney and fatty chicken

Just ordered from justeat. Missing products. Burgers missing items that we paid for. Called to let them know and the girl who picked up told me at first that I was wrong and then laughed at me. Once we cleared up that the food was missing she then told me I had to order MORE food so that they can send my missing items!! What? Stilll not got the food we paid for. The food itself was whack. Burgers are cheap cheap frozen burgers from bookers. Milk shack came from a completely different company, Scoops! How? Chicken wings were ok. Would not order this whack food again. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Lovely food, great portions & brilliant staff

Came here for lunch and food was good. The chicken was spot on, wrap and burger. I got the 'original' size assuming it was a large portion but actually it was a massive portion as you can see in the chips and the wrap. That chip portion can be shared between 3-4 adults, worth it for the price.

Good food, friendly staff good amount of food too

I had lunch here today. The grilled chicken wrap with hot piri sauce and 3 wings also in the hot piri sauce. Both tasted fantastic and portions were good size. The wrap was huge and the wings were not the tiny ones you sometimes get. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They even threw in a portion of fries which was very nice so I couldn't finish all of it. Left full up and very satisfied. I will be back for more. 👍👍

Very bad experience so not going again. In the Chicken burgers chicken was bland and we ordered hot and spicy flavour, they served hot and spicy and added lemon and herb as well. We ordered piri piri salted chips, they served normal chips, then we had to ask for salt. Counter person was rude who was talking one step ahead of us.

Ordered from her via a 3rd party, chicken breast/ strips were just breast fillets cooked and defrosted from a larger pack, slot of watery fluid. As soo as I opened the chicke container, the smell was horrific, god knows why I tried a bite when the chicken breast was caged hen on roids, no flavour despite being told there was peri sauce on the chicken. There's sauce was watery chili powder, gave a slight red faded pastel colour to the meant and sauce but no favoured. Anyway tasting it, it tasted as bad as it spelt . I could only describe this as hot gone off glass of blackcurrant that has been sittigbin the sun a few days with layers of green mould, that's what the taste and texture reminded me ofz .8 had 3 bites out of a £20 order, the contact and delivery company had to be away because I felt like my organs were failing even smoking it. Delivery company- call them not us So I called kangos, said I felt concerned as the chicken smelt off and funny. The amount of verbal abuse I got L, I was actually worried because of the way his way or no. I ended up crying and phoning up. Refund sent by delivery company!! Long story short. Horrific , rude, glad, threatened

My granddaughter has eaten here before with friends and told me how food it is, I was not disappointed, to be honest we only ordered what we thought would be a small meal to share, but the portions are really big so we left without being able to finish it all, the lemon and herb chicken strips were delicious, I will try the burger next time, all the dips that they serve are super yummy and some spicy 🥵. The owner is a very pleasant guy and very welcoming. Great food well done 👍🏼

Had to find something to eat late last night and came across Kango's. Cracking burger and chips, lovely, friendly service. Couldn't fault it.

Owner was lovely but could not say the same about the food.. Chicken wrap was soggy, chicken was a weird texture and pink when cut into, the chicken skewers were not on skewers and instead just a barely seasoned chicken fillet on a plate swimming in oil. The chips were also subpar. Very disappointed! :(

Best Halal restaurants in Portsmouth! Am from Newcastle and the closest thing in Newcastle to this restaurants in Portsmouth is Manjaros! Loading car park is safe for your car however keep an eye on it while your there for unwanted tickets Sauces in Kangaroo’s is awesome may be in house

Very nice restaurant. The owner is friendly. The food was good quality. We had Peri Peri chicken platters with different sides. There was a complementary salad provided. There was 10 of us and the food came out quickly. The chicken tasted good, the sides such as chips, mash and rice were all good size. There was a good range of drinks and ice cream as well. Would definitely go back.

The food was amazing! Portion sizes, fantastic. Flavor, so good. The rice was *chefs kiss*, the piri piri chips, wow. The hot flavor, not TOO hot, and super flavorful!! The wings were huge! Loved that! Highly recommend!! And the staff was so friendly.

Sadly a really bad experience, food was over cooked and rubbery. Extortionate prices considering what you’re paying for. Had assumed it will be all inclusive as a meal but everything is separately priced, never seen that format before. Was charged £1 something for cheese, I would have assumed this is a standard with any burger any where you go to. The meat and the chicken was over cooked and luckily they provided steak knives as it was needed, my poor teeth struggled though and I may need to book in a dental appointment after having such a tough time chewing through that. I’m guessing I was served beef and chicken and not kangaroo. Gentleman I was served by came across very shouty and inconsiderate when asked about his over inflated prices, he went onto say that he delivers quality food not like Ken’s. At least with Ken’s you get what you pay for and you can actually get taste and flavour from the food. I think serious consideration needs to be given to the cook to learn how to cook meat to the appropriate level for human consumption. The burgers that came out made it impossible to eat in one go as they were ridiculously bulked up with salad and tomatoes. Overall very disappointed, first and last visit. You’re better off at Ken’s or Flames on Osbourne Road if you want decent affordable and tasty food. Your welcome.

Terrible service, the owner just shouts, so unprofessional, speaks rudely to customers, delivery drivers and his own staff. It’s so embarrassing to be there. The chicken is so tough, awful, they really don’t know how to cook chicken. Overpriced for what your getting as the taste is not there. The tables and chairs are greasy.

Had so much food for a decent price. And the quality was amazing. Milkshakes are superb too. Staff are so funny and friendly that when my partner left her wallet behind by accident they held onto it until we came back 10/10 can definitely see us being a regular from now on

Best chicken wrap ever, served by friendly, professional people - hubby had chicken burger and gave it 10 out of 10 - (that never happens!) Makes nandos look expensive and tasteless - if this place was near me I'd never go to nandos again - not sure I can anyway! Can't recommend this place enough. Loved it - only in Portsmouth for 2 days but I'll be going back day 2. The owner is honest and really cares about the food he serves you, I wish more places were like this. Place is clean and well decorated. Gem of a find - so glad we went in here on the off chance - best £20 I've spent on food for a long time 😋

Overall: Recommended for a quick burger, I would go again Food: good, I had a 'dirty BBQ burger'. Not outstanding, but definitely worth it and good quality. Quite a large burger, lots of toppings, good flavour. Restaurant: Nice big windows to look out of, great if you like people watching. Uncomfortable seats, very hard wooden bench seats at all tables, no cushions.

Really good chicken burger with a generous portion of chips/fries. The chicken isn’t fried so is naturally healthier. Really good soft bun and the spice level was perfect (I like it hotter). Nice guy that runs the place too. Recommended!

Was so hungry and boy did the portions deliver. How did he know I was in need of a whole plate of sweet potato fries, a slab of butter sliding down the corn on cob, a wrap like a burrito with all the rice and beans swapped out for Much Chicken and even the dip was half ketchup half mayo. Great!

Arrived in Portsmouth late Thursday night and it was the only quality food place open at 10.30. Good range of burgers and other means. Really friendly staff - good was awesome too

Very bad taste, the chicken was semi cooked The chips were oily and the the rice clearly was a left over then reheated before serving because my dish was cold in some areas.

Very poor customer service. Staff refuse to acknowledge you and the owner is also quite rude and abrupt. It’s a shame as the food tasted good but I wouldn’t spend my money here again especially when I’m treated with disrespect. Inadequate hygiene facilities.
