If I could give 0 stars I would. Attempted to visit this pub for food after seeing the menu online and a food hygiene review in the window. Greeted by a bunch of farmers inside asking what we want, we said we were just waiting to see if food was being served. He said ‘nah no food at all here’ and the bar maid said ‘nope just crisps and nuts’ with an attitude, the other customers laughed us out the door. Very unfriendly, unprofessional and quite frankly rude behaviour from both staff and customers. Do not recommend at all.

Fantastic Sunday roast and lots of choice if you don’t fancy a roast. Loads of high quality meat, great starters and really lovely serving staff who make you very welcome.

I didn't stay in their rooms, but I expect that they would be to a fantastic standard.

We’ve been ordering from K2 for over ten years. But the last few for us have not been good. We kept ordering thinking it’s just a one-off, but sadly it hasn’t improved. Food doesn’t taste as good as it used to, it’s bearly warm, items missing, and sadly always late. Am really sad to loose our go to Indian, but we were used to such superb food from K2. I write this in hope that K2 read it and make the changes to return to the service and quality of food they once used to offer. Either way thank-you for years of amazing food and we wish you well.

Not sure why TripAdvisor removed my last review which was legitimate but was claimed not to be? We booked a table for last Sunday for Balaka on their website. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. We had 2 notifications in the days prior to the booking reminding us to turn up for our booking. We were a group of 5 and 3 of the group travelled 30 minutes to get there. When I rang the restaurant on Monday they said "sorry we were closed". Yeah thanks we got that... no decent apology at all.

So nice to have pub such as this on the doorstep, but OMG it is absolutely filthy in all corners The staff are really nice but service is flakey, which is a real shame. Given how busy it gets at times, it seems like there is little co-ordination. Pizza's are really nice (recommend). Selection of beers / ales is fantastic! Could do better!!! Just keep the place clean!

If you're craving a kebab in Ashford, Topkapi is a solid choice. They're seriously quick with delivery, and the food always arrives hot. The salad is always fresh and crisp, making the whole thing a real treat. I wouldn't order a kebab from anywhere else!

So good food! I had the nasi goreng and it was so full of flavour! I highly recommend, very affordable restaurant. Nice decor and felt clean :) would recommend:) Sorry didn't get a photo of my main, but I promise it was so good! And big portion size

Spring rolls were cold, rice was as hard as rock. We requested a menus and prawn crackers and neither were delivered

Best pub in the area. Actual pub with a proper and very welcoming pub landlord and owner. Not a chain. Does fantastic food and do go! Better food than the chain pub up the street.

I ordered food at 10:15pm it said it should be here for 11:25pm it is now 12:35pm and the food still is not here the place is now closed so I have no way of finding out where the food is! I will never be ordering from here ever again !!

Lovely ambience to this pub. Very tastefully lit and decorated without tacky fruit machines or music. I think this establishment caters more for the serious diner than for passing trade. The food was very good and if you enjoy fish then this menu is for you. I had the smoked mackerel in cheese starter and a sea bass main in an incredable rich fish sauce - very tasty. My wife had the Sardines and rosemary butter starter, the confit of duck with bubble and squeak with a lemon posset sweet. We found the prices very reasonable for the quality of food and the good service. Certainly look forward to booking again.
