A very cosy and ESPECIALLY dog friendly pub, 2 out of 4 pub heater working 🫡. Maximus and I found the food particularly nourishing, the star of the show being the crispiest of the crisp chicken and the smooth crisp Guinness. They both excellently lined our stomach as we took great appreciation of the pubs epic garden. To be true to ourselves, we are great fans of St. John’s yard and I thoroughly enjoyed the themes and decadence displayed in both venues, both catering for customers of all age. Last week on the 28th it was Maximilian’s birthday. Max and I popped out this evening for preposterous and pre birthday celebrations. What a lovely and lively location to behold this fine occasion. A huge applause to all the members of staff involved at the Beau Nash all of whom welcomed the most pleasant experience, thank you to all of you

I have lived within 200 metres of this pub for over 5 years and had never been there. Against that background I thought I would give it a try as my wife was travelling and I fancied a beer and a bite. On arrival there was nobody behind the bar and it took some minutes for someone to appear, albeit the two servers seemed to be more focussed on having a natter in the kitchen. I ordered a pint and a Goats Cheese Toastie. I then sat down at one of their tables. The table surface didn’t seem to be especially clean and in fact was sticky to touch; I should have left at that point. The food order took over 20 minutes to arrive when there could have been no more than five people in the pub. The toastie had an excessively sweet onions in it and was just about passable. There are so many other really good pub options, so no need for a return visit.

My friend has just moved to a house round the corner from this pub and I am sorely tempted to follow suit. It is an almost comedically perfect English pub. The food is genuinely incred. We have worked our way through most of the menu and everything is delicious and beautiful cooked. The buttermilk fried chicken dishes are probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. Also had the beef burger which was delicious thanks to the caramelised onions. So so good. Exceptional pub! Been going here on and off for years (even worked here when I was a teen) and it's been somewhat inconsistent, but the new owners are doing an incredible job. Nice selection of beer (modern options like Brixton and Tiny Rebel, as well as trusty Harvey's etc) and their fried chicken is INCREDIBLE. Lovely little pub on the hill overlooking Tunbridge Wells with quite a deceptively large beer garden out the back. Cheerful barmaid was very pleasant and was happy to have a chat. The pub is back from the road, so although the pub sign is on the road you need to go down the alley to get to the pub - but it's worth it. Comfortable furniture inside with a projector showing a film when we were there. The Guinness was excellent as was the Harvey's Sussex Best. Just a quick extra to mention they stock a locally brewed rums- holding a number of flavours. The rum is brewed by Project 173 and while it might not be a world beater at the moment, I quite enjoyed the pineapple version. It's good to see local products being promoted

Booked the Beau Nash for lunch and very impressed by the new, well-priced menu. All the dishes our party of 6 ordered were excellent, including the sides and the kids meals. If you want an interesting meal that isnt the usual boring pub fare, and is very well-priced, this is the place. Good for VG and pescetarian too. Trudging back to the hotel on a cold December afternoon I was in two minds whether to pop into a pub somewhere on the way. Then it started raining, and that made the decision for me. I saw the Beau Nash pub sign by the road and turned right into a wide alley that led to the pub. I say wide because it was wide enough for a rubbish truck that started to reverse into it, (and I briefly thought that there was no changing my mind now!) The pub is at the end of this alley and does have a garden to the right and at the back, but wasn’t an option on my visit as it was now chucking it down. Harveys ‘Sussex Best’ was on at £4.60 a pint and was in good condition. The rain continued. The pub had only two other customers and it was mid afternoon so I wondered if they were still doing food. It was, and I thought just a sandwich to go with the second pint, while waiting for the showers to pass over. The grilled cheese with chorizo sandwich I ordered was much bigger than expected. It also had other fillings such as salami and different cheeses. Frankly, it was fantastic. About £7 as I recall. I followed it with another Harveys and, as the rain had eased off, I left. A friend later told me that he thought it was closed. Well, it has reopened I told him, and well worth a visit.
