K2 Indian Takeaway in Windsor and Maidenhead

We’ve been ordering from K2 for over ten years. But the last few for us have not been good. We kept ordering thinking it’s just a one-off, but sadly it hasn’t improved. Food doesn’t taste as good as it used to, it’s bearly warm, items missing, and sadly always late. Am really sad to loose our go to Indian, but we were used to such superb food from K2. I write this in hope that K2 read it and make the changes to return to the service and quality of food they once used to offer. Either way thank-you for years of amazing food and we wish you well.

It was late due to an error however they phoned and apologised. The food, as always, was delicious. We have been using K2 for years even when we lived in Burnham. Well worth the money.

Better portion size than most. Very tasty

1.30 hrs we waited for the order, it was never delivered , they didn't pick any calls from me nor from the customer care team of JUST eat, worst experience of my life,please save yourself and DON'T order, it's a nightmare.

Very tasty chicken tikka jalfrezi.

We where in our Motorhome on the Hurley campsite . We picked up a group of menus and picked K2 Indian. What a choice! The food was amazing . We had enough food for 2 sittings even though the order was for just us 2. Arrived very hot, slight problem with delivery point but that can be sorted with a call to the site by K2 . Apart from that so good. Shame we live so far away otherwise this would be a regular tasty option.

Took 3 hours to delivery even thou I phoned straight away to say I wanted delivery not collection, phoned 4 times and each time they said it was out for delivery, when it arrived it was meant to come with free salad and sauce when you got 4 popadoms but they only sent chill sauce , driver didn’t apologise, so disappointed .

The increase in delivery charge from £1.50 to £2.00 is unacceptable (starting from a base of no charge) then the discount level is raised from £30.00 to £40.00. If prices continue to rise on that basis the moneys lost during the pandemic will be recovered in a couple of months but on the downside bank interest rates will be raised to 10%

We ordered 3 different dishes, I prawn curry 1 chicken curry and one chicken balti, all very spicy, and all three tasted exactly the same. What a shame. Would have expected the prawn and chicken curries to be similar sauce but obviously they use the same sauce for multiple dishes. Very disappointing. Ordered 2 pilau rice and neither dish was full. Naan bread stone cold. Service was great though, delivery bang on time

Love the KP Dhansak, only place I ever order from for this dish. Bit gutted that the poppadum salad was just a load of chopped onion and no tomatoes!

Have never tried K2 before it was recommended to me and I have to say I'm glad it was. Really nice food at reasonable prices. Delivered early which was fine and was really good portions.

Food was delicious as always. Just disappointing that the driver didn’t bring the food to the door. Called and made us go downstairs and outside. Other drivers bring into building and leave on doorstep (contactless delivery) Not fault of restaurant who’s food is always great and hot on delivery.

Food was like warm. Disappointing delivery, the status was incorrectly showing as delivered 15 mins before actual delivery was made.

We have spent hundreds of pounds over the years on k2 take aways,always been very good.However tonight the poppadoms were stale which is not the first time and they forgot one of our starters.rang to tell them,not interested until we said we had been good customers and wouldn’t order again so the boss came on the phone and said they would send out the missing starter in 30 minutes,great we thought,2 hours later and we are still waiting,sorry K2 but not good enough,you have lost a very good customer and we will tell family and friends not to order from you anymore.

Took 1hr 50mins to arrive after ordering. Called for an update and told it was out with a driver. 30 minutes later it turned up and half the order cold

Great food but arrived an hour & 15 minutes late.

The best Indian take away in Maidenhead. We love it! The only place we order from! Chicken madras and chicken tikka masala. Thanks K2 xx

Great food and massive portions

Lovely as always!!! Food fresh hot and delicious!!! Exact right level of spice. Knocked one star off only because there was a reall excess of oil on our lamb curry which was unfortunate and isn’t usually the case

Food was poor value for money, was late by over half hour and even that I had to chase it through app. When it arrived, it was just about warm and quite frankly didn’t taste very special. I was charged £2.5 delivery too despite it being advertised as free delivery over £12 orders. Overall “not satisfactory” and unlikely I order again.

We’ve ordered several times since we moved to the area and it’s been ok at best. Tonight the service was absolutely appalling. We had to cancel our order as it was initially a one hour wait with 15 minutes added on to the wait time every time we called. Will wait and see if they refund our money.

Ordered on Uber eats - delivery time was 35 mins then pushed back 20 mins in the app. Called the establishment 20 mins later for an eta as it has been 75 minutes since the order - only for the restaurant to say driver left agers ago and I should understand they are busy! A further 45 mins later and still nothing arrived. Order cancelled. Avoid. Let's hope Uber gives me my money back!

Lovely hot tasty fresh food! Loved our Chicken balti, Bombay aloo, paalak chicken and my favourite saag paneer! No oily film or OTT chilli- perfectly spiced and so fresh!!! Thank you so much!

One of the best Indian takeaways in town, we've tried a fair few over the years and this is the only one we use now.

K2 is our normal go to - outstanding, fresh and bubbling hot tasty food. Today though, something was different- maybe a different chef... our Chicken Balti was really really oily and much hotter than usual. In fact all the fishes were quite oily which never is the case usually - in fact it’s something I always tell others about. Couple of the papad were stale too. We were famished so still went ahead and ate well. I’m going to chalk it up as a one off and hope this is not the new normal.

Thanks for a fantastic first takeaway since March. Son was put in shielding list so we’ve not had any takeaways have to say as our 1st since pausing it was brilliant.

Outstanding food yet again! The team at K2 are really responsive and produce piping hot lovely tasting food. Tried Chicken balti today alongside the usual chicken lamb and vegetarian dishes- it was spot on!!! Will become a regular favourite Thanks again- look forward to next time!

When we ordered it provided a reasonable delivery time, which then was delayed to an unacceptable time - but a simple phone call ensured the food arrived promptly.

The food was delicious and best of all when it arrived it was still hot so no microwave needed would definitely order from them again

Good food, the only thing I felt that I was not too happy about is that the spices used get too much by the end.

Absolutely brilliant. I had the Shahi chicken makhani with saag aloo and a keema naan tonight and it was superb. Good quality and massive portions and very fast delivery. This has to be one of the best in Maidenhead!! There’s tons left for tomorrow!!

Have been ordering from these guys for years. However recently it’s been a bit hit and miss Today was not really good - samosas were soggy, meat was really tough and they keep forgetting to send the yellow sauce :(

Really tasty, and the bhajis and samosas weren’t at all greasy. A great meat:sauce ratio too. Will be back!

The food tastes good and the portions are a decent size. The butterfly prawn was overcooked but everything else was ok.

Fantastic family meal free bottle of wine will definitely use again half hour late but it’s a Saturday night def not a prob! Was worth every penny

Really good Masalla sauce, thick and creamy, unlike a lot of places where it is thin and a bit oily.

Tikka sauce was delicious, as was the rice. Popadoms and mint sauce. However the chicken was very rubbery. With a strange taste to it. I used to order from K2 quite a few years ago but stopped due to the same issue with the chicken, my usual Indian was closed this evening so went back to K2, won’t bother again unfortunately. Super fast service though

It was all great, but there was apparently an offer that if you spent over £30 you’d get a free bottle of wine. I left a specific request for the wine and did not receive it.

Well how disappointing ordered at 700pm promised for 800pm. At 810 told out for delivery (its a 15 minute in heavy traffic journey) arrived at 850pm.... Amazing service so pleased and delighted to be lied to And treated like an idiot. Wont be using just eat or K2 in Maidenhead again which is a shame because when the food did turn up it was good. Check me out being fair!

Food was ok although there was salad in both wraps when only asked for it in one. Was about 25-30 minutes late and restaurant were not very helpful. Won’t order again

K2 Is by far the best but lately the service has been really bad,New staff answering the phone who dont seem to have a clue whats going on, food order has been wrong the last 2 times and issues with the delicvery also. I hope they havnt changed hands but something seems different.

Ordered several times, delivery time always accurate, food hot, great takeaway!

Food was 10 minutes late, one item we ordered was a chicken shashlik - took one bite and had to throw it all away as it was clear some of the meat was lamb - which we don’t eat. Tasted completely off, a waste of money for that dish. Everything else was good, but the onion bhaji’s were a bit on the stale side. Chicken korma / mushroom korma + chicken tikka masala were all lovely, would order those meals again!
