We were in town visiting a friend, and we were looking for some Indian takeaway to have a nice evening in. We were welcomed and given a seat while we decided what to eat and ended up having a nice glass of wine while we waited. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I felt they went above and beyond, making sure we had a nice experience. The food was great. The pompadons were nice, and the lamb kebabs were excellent. The atmosphere was nice as well. The only note for reference is that Google Maps takes you to the back, and the name on the front of the store says Maidenhead Spice. That is the space they are in. We found it and were happy we did.

Firstly, the location of this is wrong it’s at wessex way shops. cox green. let’s start with the owner, he is so unbelievably unwelcoming, we came to this establishment many times as a couple and a big party. he dictates what you can and can’t have, example all i wanted was some lamb koftas for my starter which is included and advertised in the buffet menu and he wouldn’t let me and said have these vegetable samosa then you can have them if you still hungry,, ?? no sir that’s not how this works. this was when there was 5 of us there. clearly because you can buy a bag of 80 samosas for £8 at wholesalers and not wanting to cook because it was a sunday buffet, moving onto the main meals the food is cheap and is layered with thick grease. you get next to no meat in your food.. and just is poor quality for a lot of money and generally tastes like out of a jar and watered down sauce, it gives me a bad belly ache each time i go here. this restaurant is okay looks wise but needs a desperate revamp.. also another thing when we went into this establishment mid winter he refused to put the heating on it was absolutely freezing inside there was frost on the inside of the windows and outside, and he sat us near the door that kept blowing open! great job! and when asked to please turn the heating up he told us to put our coats on. disgraceful because he’s to tight to pay for heating. i speak to anyone about here and they feel the same way I would never ever ever recommend anybody to go here. they are rude ignorant and money mad and quite frankly should be shut down just for the complete audacity of calling it authentic indian food, lidl sells a more authentic dinner than you. if i could rate this no stars i would.

We decided to try the ‘eat as much as you like’ Sunday buffet. In arriving we realised that it was not as advertised, but instead it was a set menu. You can order 1 starter, 1 main course, 1 side dish, 1 rice and 1 bread. Mind you if you asked the other staff member he would say something different, so slightly confused. The restaurant does not serve alcohol which is fine the men went to the store next door and got their beer, however because of this the staff didn’t seem to think that the rest of us may have wanted a soft drink and we had to ask several times and it was never offered. The food came in good time and it was average, nothing special. We didn’t manage to finish all our food so we asked to take away the rest, we were not allowed! We asked why and he just said you can’t, I said that is such a waste as it will just go in the bin, but the answer was still no. I can understand having this rule if it was a traditional buffet, but this wasn’t, it was a set menu?? Anyway we paid and went to leave and then saw the advert on the door to say that children were half price. Realising that they had charged us full price for our 11 year old we asked why, we were told that they usually only give half portions to children but we didn’t ask for that, so that charged him as an adult. At this point I really couldn’t be bothered to argue and just got the hell out of there. We certainly will not be returning there again!!

Delicious curry at very reasonable prices. Chicken tikka masala was incredible as well as the Kima rice. Loved the naan breads and all came with fresh salad and the rice is cooked perfectly. Had the all you can eat buffet and brought my own beer from next door. This is my go to curry here and the service was amazing, so polite and the food was great. Thank you!

Ordered for delivery Saturday 15th oct, easy to do on phone, food here within 30mins driver nice. Ordered lamb madras and got given chicken madras. Wife phoned up and the person she spoke too on the phone! Said can it not matter this time you eat the chicken madras! What the hell is that bad customer service. Eventually they decided to deliver a lamb madras. Time this arrived the rice was cold. Funny thing was the driver said they want the chicken madras back!. For what to put back in the pot and re sell it later. Well if you had a chicken madras Saturday evening / night it might off been my left overs which the dog licked. Food wasn’t Evan that great anyway. We won’t be ordering from here again.

We went to Indian kitchen for an anniversary celebration ten adults and 5 kids we got there at opening time to avoid the rush of take always the good thing about this place is you take your own booze and conveniently there’s an off license right next door and a big co-op a few doors away they do provide glasses for drinks. The guy came round and took our starter orders and said we could order mains after which gave more time to think about what to have and to see how full you was after your stater which all arrived piping hot. Plates were brought out for our mains which were very hot and food arrived quickly although one dish did take a bit longer to come out which was one of mine that I was sharing with my mate but wasn’t a problem as we had plenty to be getting on with. It was friends that recommended this restaurant as she is gluten free as they cater for her needs and I can tell you everyone enjoyed their meals we were in and out from 5 till 7 which I thought was pretty good and £260 for ten adults and 2 kids and 3 teenagers I thought was reasonable the drinks would have been another £150 had we not took our own I thought it was a great idea and would definitely go back nothing was to much trouble. Could do with a bit of Indian background music

It got quite heated with these guys over the phone when complaining so I decided to wait to the next day to give this review so I can give a fair review without emotion. The food all came with no spice at all. We ordered quite a bit of food since we had family over, upon tasting my lamb rogan josh, it came very oily and completely bland. The guy on the phone offered to replace it but since everyone was sat down and eating, you don’t really want to wait again for someone to make it and deliver it. He said he can give me a free one next time. Then other family members said there was no spice in any of the food. Everything was bland but they were ok eating it so I decided just to call and ask for a refund on my dish which was refused. I don’t understand why he could not do this, he simply said I’ll replace it or thats it. It was no point arguing with him, I just said that’s fine I’ll just reflect it in my review. By the time the guy got quite angry on the call accusing me of just tricking him so I could get a full refund. He got so heating he wasn’t even listening to what I was saying. Then the lady taking orders got involved saying that my spice level was not the same as everyone else’s and basically it was all my fault. I tried to explain to her that it had no spice at all but she wasn’t having any of it. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, I love leaving good reviews when places deserve it but it was clear this place was a place to cut your losses and just avoid.

Ordered direct over the phone with the restaurant and paid by card, although they wanted us to pay cash to the delivery driver. Was told it would be 45 minutes. 90 minutes later we phoned again and the excuse was they had it down as collection. Hardly our fault when we clearly asked for delivery! So we were then told it would be another 10 minutes........and it duly arrived. However, the whole bag had been put in the microwave because even the salad and yogurt dip were very hot indeed!! And to top off a dreadful dining experience, my husbands meal was chicken when he had asked for lamb. Never again.

Decided to have a takeaway so tried Indian Kitchen for the first time, will definitely not be the last. All the food was excellent, we chose chicken Rogan Josh, lamb bhuna, sagaloo, palau rice with a garlic naan bead. The chicken was so tender and all the dishes had wonderful authentic spice and herb flavours. They said it would be ready for collection in 20 minutes, and it was. Such good food, good service and reasonably priced you cannot ask for anymore. Thank you

This place is less than half mile from our house and yet previous owners put us off returning. However, friends visited and gave good feedback so we thought we'd try it tonight. Initially we tried to book online yet the booking system suggested the place was fully booked. I would have given up but my wife gave them a call and we were fine to get in. When we turned up there were plenty of spaces and the owner admitted there was issues with the website. Do give them a call if the website suggests they are full. The place itself was actually quite chilly, but the staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had researched before going and knew it was a "bring your own" and they were very happy to supply glasses for our drinks which in the end saved us lots of money. Four of us went and had different selections, all of which were polished off and the general agreement was that everything was excellent. In view of the food, and the fact I would like a local establishment to succeed, this definitely deserves 5 stars and I would recommend paying a visit.

We have had various takeouts from India Kitchen all of which have been excellent. We thought we would give it a try and dine at the restaurant and I am so glad we did. We were 7 in total and we ordered a variety of different dishes all of which had their own very distinct flavours, served piping hot with a smile. The decor was modern, with comfortable chairs and service was great. Although they don’t have an alcohol license, Wessex Wine (open until late) next door provide a great selection of beers, spirits and wines that we selected just before going in. It was nice to buy a good bottle without paying hyped up restaurant prices. We will definitely return, thank you for a lovely evening.

Party of 8 (pre-booked). Hadn’t realised they don’t offer alcoholic drinks, but they were happy for us to take in our own (and there’s an off licence right next door!). Don’t believe the restaurant charged us anything re the wine & beer, although they provided the glasses and offered to keep items in the fridge until required (a nice touch). Food was excellent, and portion sizes just about perfect (we didn’t have to ask for ‘doggy bags’, as the plates were empty by the end of the meal – yet we were nicely full, without being bloated!). No afters or coffee on offer. No tablecloths either, and 1 plate had to be returned due to the dishwasher not having done its job perfectly – but the plates were nice and hot. Decent friendly service – efficiently delivered (though we would rather have received the rice first, not last). All in all, everyone in the party was happy – with each of us thoroughly enjoying the food served up (7 different main courses between us). We will return. If you want good food (starters & mains only) at a decent price, and don’t mind taking along your own alcoholic drinks (if that’s your inclination), then we’d recommend this place. And with just a few ‘minor tweaks’, maybe next time we’ll feel able to give it 5 stars.

We had enjoyed this takeaway for some time and were regular customers. Unfortunately our last meal was spoiled when a vegetarian dish was found to have chicken in it. My husband (who is vegetarian) found this out when eating the dish - a very unpleasant experience. Paprika eventually (after trying to insist on a discount on a future order) agreed to refund the cost of the dish, but the attitude, although apologetic, was one of "these things happen".

The restaurant was recommended to me by a personal friend. I was looking for something that offers good food, good service and authentic experience for my family’s visit in the UK. The food was mediocre, lacks taste and the portions are very small. It seems like the dishes are different colours but taste the same. The breads were very good though. The prices are expensive for what it is. The restaurant smells unpleasantly. I was sold on the promise of magic shows for my little cousin, and the experience, but other than taking our order, we did not see any of the waiters come up and even ask if our food was ok. I asked if the 3 portions of rice would be enough between the 4 of us and the waiter offered no comment other than just shrugging his shoulders. I don’t really like to leave bad comments, so I also told the owner at the end that the experience was very disappointing and he didn’t seem too bothered. Overall, the most disappointing meal/ experience we’ve ever had.
