Worst delivery service ever, and when I spoke to them 3 times, seemed they didn’t care, will never ever use them again, better service would be good

Ordered a takeaway and unfortunately was quickly reminded why we hadn’t ordered from there for a couple of years. The chicken tikka masala sauce was on the bland but worse were the cubes of chicken that I’m guessing were from a packet, as had no flavour and a weird texture. The tandoori chicken was cooked fine but again had very little flavour. The onion bhaji meanwhile wasn’t fresh and had clearly been re-heated. Won’t be making the mistake of ordering here again, Maya only!

Food was delicious with good portions. Side dishes were lovely. Service was slow and not very thoughtful or anticipatory: e. g. when water for the table was asked for, only one glass of water was brought. Atmosphere was fine: the place was quiet when we visited at 7pm on a Tuesday. Decor is nice and understated. Definitely worth a visit.

turned up 15mins late and my foid was cold main dish and the nann bread I'm not paying £23 for cold fukn food !!!!!

Food quality fantastic as usual however extremely disappointed with the service. Delivered late with items missing, lots of silly excuses from the restaurant until they finally rectified the issue and threw in some wine as a gesture of good will. Unfortunate and bizarre experience.

All food was very good apart from the mixed grill which was a bit dry. Overall it was good food.

I ordered for delivery and have to say was very disappointed. The butter chicken was bland and tasteless. Only saving grace was the naan bread. Not really worth the money and now wish I had ordered elsewhere.

This is our regular place to order Indian food. I ordered a couple of weeks back when ascot races had been on. ordered online and was given a 30min delivery time ( usually arrives after about 20 mins) We waited 45 minutes and as it was a race day, we then waited another 15 to allow for the busy period ............ nothing made a phone call and we were told 5 mins longer which is perfectly acceptable. Total time waiting was 1.5hrs and my kids were now moaning, food arrives and is ... COLD so I had no option to reheat my freshly prepared food as we could wait no longer. When I called to tell the restaurant of the issue I was told I would receive a phone call from the manager. No phone call, no discount and not really any apology. After using Ascot spices for years we will be going elsewhere now.

Food nice and hot, sauce to thin but lots of flavour

Wonderful, flavoursome curry. The service was good but there were a few things they kept forgetting about when we ordered. They sorted us out when we reminded them though and just really really lovely food and wonderful modern interior setting.

Uninspiring menu, very basic standard curry selection. We ordered two dishes from the 'house specialties' both with very different descriptions that tasted the same as if they make basic one curry and add prawns or chicken, a bit more chilli or maybe some coconut milk. The food was agreeable, just alright, nothing special. Service was abysmal. My cutlery was literally chucked on the table in front of me and when they cleared the table they checked my beer bottle still had some in it, left that but took away my glass. The entire restaurant was empty when we arrived at 8pm (unsurprisingly) with any atmosphere only developing when the pubs started the empty and the place become crowded with tables of pissed blokes.

Great food and nice calm vibe, Restaurant looks amazing as well. Service was exemplary.

There reviews speak for themselves, refused service at 21.56 due to being busy but a group of 4 come and seated with 10 minutes, I then ordered take way at 23.30 they kicked me out, they have no challenge 25 or licensing on display which is law so take photos to report, security got physical and tried to take my phone jone of a company and needs shutting down owner is cash only and avoiding the tax man

I asked for table for four. They double checked the availability and said, yea you could call your friends you’ll be next. As no one was waiting then. But when my friends came in -who were of a dark skin- a man who seemed to be the manager or owner was furious and rushed to say in a hostile way we don’t have availability and you have to leave. I can’t see any other reason than racism for changing their behaviour and availability and attitude which is unacceptable under any circumstances. If I have time I’d probably file an official complain.

It's genuinely one of the best curries we've had in a long time! We had sag aloo, Dopiaza, tikka massala a lamb bhuna, and all were top notch! Unfortunately, my home address is outside of their delivery area 😒 so I've only ordered the once. Food arrived after about half hour/40 minutes and ahead of schedule

I took a takeaway of sag panner and peshwari naan today. Found the spinach very bitter and paneer stale. Peshwari naan was not upto the taste as well. Overall waste of money

High price despite delicious food Small portion sizes

I didn't mind the food being delivered half an hour early this time, but it might have been annoying if I had relied on the delivery time - ie gone for a shower or something!

Absolutely fantastic. So hot and so fresh. The Tandoori mix was awesome. Definitely using them again.

Food was ok. We had Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma. The sauce was a little too oily but tasted great. The breads were very good. It was quiet on a Thursday, but was a very rainy January so that may have kept people away. Would probably visit again if we were passing.

Best vegetarian curries in the area. Highly recommend

Take away not eat in. Been ordering from here for years but the Dupiaza is more like a madras this time. Completely ruined my anniversary dinner. Actually too hot that it had my lips stinging. So sad as I did look forward to this. May have to find a new local after this one. A few mouthfuls managed and I hate wasting food!

Simply one of the best Indian restaurants in London or surrounding areas… group of friendly and professional staff… So far we have had an amazing experience with both Collection and Delivery and we look forward to try their beautiful lounge for our next occasions. I've no complaints about the food coming early! Most the food was delicious, only hesitation is over the brinjal bhaji as it had quite a lot of oil.

Ordered from here regularly for years. Not sure if chef has changed but taste of their consistently excellent madras sauce has changed for the worse in the last few deliveries .. Maybe have to try some other restaurants..🙁

On a big race meeting day I managed to reserve a table for 10 of us with just a quick phone call at 5pm from the racecourse. Service was quick and the food was good.

Unfortunately the food ordered was just about warm, arrived very early, didn't taste of alot, watery and the chicken was tough and chewy. Also the naan was cold and wet. It's a shame as I've ordered from here before and it was lovely. Not the same experience this time. 😕

on entering the restaurant I was greeted and shown to my table the restaurant itself is clean and well presented and staff friendly ,polite and welcoming the food was served incredibly quick so could not be cooked to order all though tasty also tasted precooked

As a regular customer who pretty orders the same dish most times unfortunately tonight’s was disappointing, no flavour and bland. Different chef on maybe? I hope next time will be back to the standard I’m used to with your food

Dissatisfied. Had a meal here tonight and staff didn’t return our change. We had to ask for it, said they had “forgot”! Only three customers in! Rude Staff to the point of rip off. ☹️

Quickly delivery and good, friendly service. The food was good, although the poppadoms were the spiced ones which I’m not a fan of and the essential mango chutney was missing. Apart from that, a lovely meal.

Food was barely warm chips were cold only thing edible was the poppadoms as we couldn't even heat our food up as we've just moved here so no appliances yet. Had a curry here last weekend sitting in and it was so good hence why we returned but thoroughly disappointed

This was our first time ordering from Ascot Spices. The food came quicker than expected, the driver was friendly and polite, the food was piping hot and tasted amazing! I prefer my Indian takeaway on the mild side but my husband prefers it hot and we were both able to find dishes perfect for our tastebuds. Would definitely order from here again. My only tip for those who are new to ordering: the vegetable samosas are hot. I didn’t expect that and it was too hot for me but the rest of my order was as expected.

Just an update on my last review. The refund has not been processed, they have ignored my attempts to get in contact with them.

Really good food as always, delivered sooner than expected. Have ordered from Ascot Spices on several occasions and has always been excellent.

I thought is was good. I've been a few times now and its not ever been bad. I've not had a delivery or take away so can't comment on that yet, but eating in is fine .

We placed an online order. It didn't arrive. We called to see what the hold up was, the person on the phone sounded surprised. They hadn't checked the online orders??!! No food. No apology until prompted. We haven't ordered food from here for years, choosing restaurants in Sunninghill. We won't be ordering from here again. Don't bother. They obviously don't care. What a waste of time and effort. Not to mention the fact that when asked about when my refund would be processed they were vague and muttered something about next week.

Great food but the popadoms were missing that i ordered. Never mind, rest good and only 2 items missing. Maybe Ascot Spices need a more robust check out system. Food great though.

The food was lovely except for the chicken korma. Unfortunately the chicken was so dry and hard, it was actually inedible. Very unusual for Ascot Spice.

Now i use these guys often but as a regular not even a free papadom.? The raita is just yogurt. No cucumber, onion or tomato in it. I am used to better. Rest of food great but there is a need to improve a little.

Food was terrible, probably one of the worst mixed grills I’ve had. Portion was small, meat didn’t seem freshly made. Poor quality.

We ordered a great range of dishes from the korma and dopiaza to the mixed tikka, chilli paneer etc. The food all came piping hot, much faster then the stated time from Just Eat, and the delivery driver was delightful, even asking how I was as handing the food off to me. The food itself was delicious. Everything was full of flavour, the garlic naan was... full of garlicky buttery goodness, everything, everything was just great... superb Friday Night Curry!

Walked in without a reservation and was shown to a table almost immediately. This was great considering we just left a big race event at Ascot Racecourse. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. Spicy meant spicy which is not common with what our tastes are. Had the lamb shank which was a amazing. Will recommend.

Always reliable and fast, tasty and hot.

The food was not as hot as I would have liked, but it was very tasty and nothing a zap in the microwave could not fix. When I had finished my meal I felt full and content. The delivery person was great, kept distant and very polite. The overall value for money was very good. I would definitely order again from them.

Whilst the food was OK. Unfortunately it lacked taste and all sauces tasted the same, as if the same base sauce was used. Even down to their colour, which was disappointing. Probably would be reluctant to order from here again.
