Went for the Sunday buffet. At first glance I thought there were only four options. But three of the serving trays you see in the first photo are divided into three compartments each. So you end up with nine curries (four vegetarian) and rice. On the side tables there is salad and sauces and dessert. You also get a naan bread included in the £20 price. The curries were all delicious but the lamb one is just amazing. Loved the vegetarian curry too. The naan was baked fresh and tasted very good. Had a look at their a la carte menu too and the selections looked very good and diverse. Would go back definitely.

Have been there many times over the years. Recently been to the Sunday buffet (we were the only ones there) ... Food was ok for the money. Tonight went for evening. Only 2 parties in so atmosphere was poor. The food seems very expensive and the quality was ok for half the price. Lacking any real depth of spice. A beer is £8 which seems a bit steep. So probably the last visit.

Was looking forward to getting our takeaway from here as its supposed to be the best apparently (Hence the high prices) but unfortunately it was very average at best, every curry dish just tasted of tomato with a very very small amount of spices and the samosas were small and pre bought by the look of the shape, I prefer the big homemade rough around the edges type ones that look homemade which considering the premium prices being charged I expected not store bought. You will probably say they are made in house but they don't look like they are, tasted ok though. Nice place and nice staff but Not for me I'm afraid as the curry was lacking flavor.

I regret choosing this option for our family lunch buffet. The spread had only 3 veg and non veg starters which was already a put off..most of the items felt it was reheated from the previous day. The presentation of the food was not that great. On top of all the dessert served was just a frozen cake from Iceland. Totally not worth what I paid for the buffet. Probably their ala carte might be better and their service was good too. I do not recommend to go for buffet at this place. Try others nearby options in Slough or Reading

Their chicken tikka (main) is excellent. Love their rice also. Their food is always excellent, and I don't find it as 'heavy' as other indian restaurants in the area. It is a little more expensive, but the quality, in my opinion, is much better and worth it.

We have lived in the area all our lives and must have driven past this restaurant thousands of times. Discovered just how good it is with our first visit and wish we had visited it before. Really good food, fresh, delicately spiced and delicious. There were six of us and we had a round table which is great for groups or families, nobody stuck at the end feeling left out! Ordered a good selection of dishes and all dug in. From the Lamb Pasanda to the King Prawn Biryani, all were delicious. Nice attentive but not intrusive service. Not the cheapest but well worth every penny. Highly recommended 😊

They were so good and served with 2 different sauces. We each ordered the butter chicken 'Indian style' for a bit more heat. The dinners were the most amazing blend of flavors and portions were generous. The garlic Naan bread was also wonderful. If I lived here, I would frequent the Emporer of India.

I've lived in maidenhead for 35 years and driven past this place hundred of times always saying that we must visit. After an invite from friends we were very pleasantly surprised. We love an Indian and have our go to dishes at our go to places but having visited this new spot (to us) with friends, we ordered a larger variety of food than normal including some platters and can honestly say that every bite of food was amazing. We enjoyed everything and even dishes that we are familiar with from other places were as good, if not better! We will definitely return and it may have even become out new go to Indian restaurant. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I have to say the quality of the food was exceptional Even though the portions were a little bit on the smaller side. The Onion Bhajis specially were very small. That is about the only thing which I wasn't happy with, apart from that the quality of the food was very, very high, especially the chicken dishes. I definitely recommend this place, and I think it is one of the best Indian takeaways in Maidenhead at the moment.

We had an enjoyable dinner though with a couple of caveats. This is a very well run restaurant with a good menu and a very good chef. The wine list offers a wide choice and two of us settled on the Pinot Blush which went down very well. Kingfisher and Cobra are both available on draught and were also very good. The food was overall very enjoyable, the only slight disappointment being the size of the king prawns which were small, and the size of the table which was also on the small side. Service was friendly and efficient and we were very well looked after.

I think it's important to get this point out of the way first: this, like (probably) most "Indian" restaurants in the UK, is not an authentic Indian restaurant. But if you are used to what passes as a UK "Indian" restaurant, then the standards here are pretty good. The atmosphere is nice - quiet and cosy; they do have several tables, but the place never appears crowded even when busy. The food tasted good and was well-presented. Would happily come again.

Had our dinner here as always thought I should try this place looking at its name ‘Emperor of India’. Lol, I bluffed myself . So we went for dinner here having high expectations, ordered 2 beers, 2 garlic nans, 1 keema rice, 1 chicken biriyani, 1 mutton dish, 4 papadams… the food service was quick and hence I have given 1 star. Rest was nightmare. Had to dig into the bowls to find lamb pieces , and even in the chicken biriyani there were hardly any chicken. The taste was ofcourse nothing near to the Indian standard (speaking this being an Indian) , very oily. Well we somehow finished the food as had no other choice as we were hungry and kids were sleepy. Then the bill came and any guesses how much it was ?????? £70 .. I had no idea why on earth we spent so much for such minimum food with minimum quantity and not even near to Indian taste!!! Must have charged us for the oil 😂… and then the story did not end there , my son had a bad bad tummy ache and I woke up 2 times in the middle of the night to rush to the toilet !!! Nightmare!!! Something was not right with the food, and well ofcourse the money they took (robbed) from us was not justified. Please please if you don’t want to get ripped off or do not want to get sick, DO NOT GO HEFE TO GET FOOLED!!!!!

I was staying in a nearby hotel so ventured in here on a Tuesday evening to find the place unsurprisingly quiet. The welcome was warm and I was soon tucked in with a cobra and some popadums. This is a large place (an old pub) so I can see it getting busy later in the week. Service was good and my food when it arrived was OK. Nothing earth shattering but it was an above average curry with good service. So why only 3 stars. Because of the price. For what I had, I would expect to pay in the region of about £30 to £35 in a good curry house. But on this occasion the bill was £50!!! There is simply no way to justify that. The food simply wasn't THAT good and the venue simply wasn't that special. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my meal and the service was good but the menu is simply overpriced compared to similar venues

We had enjoyed this takeaway for some time and were regular customers. Unfortunately our last meal was spoiled when a vegetarian dish was found to have chicken in it. My husband (who is vegetarian) found this out when eating the dish - a very unpleasant experience. Paprika eventually (after trying to insist on a discount on a future order) agreed to refund the cost of the dish, but the attitude, although apologetic, was one of "these things happen".

The restaurant was recommended to me by a personal friend. I was looking for something that offers good food, good service and authentic experience for my family’s visit in the UK. The food was mediocre, lacks taste and the portions are very small. It seems like the dishes are different colours but taste the same. The breads were very good though. The prices are expensive for what it is. The restaurant smells unpleasantly. I was sold on the promise of magic shows for my little cousin, and the experience, but other than taking our order, we did not see any of the waiters come up and even ask if our food was ok. I asked if the 3 portions of rice would be enough between the 4 of us and the waiter offered no comment other than just shrugging his shoulders. I don’t really like to leave bad comments, so I also told the owner at the end that the experience was very disappointing and he didn’t seem too bothered. Overall, the most disappointing meal/ experience we’ve ever had.

Finding a local take away is always hard, we moved from Hayes, as you can imagine the Indian take aways were great, we had many choices, but finding Rushi is a little gem, the staff are always polite and the food is lovely, we’ve made this our Saturday night favourite . I don’t understand why people have left negative comments. As the meals we have had have been so yummy 😋
