The best restaurants in North West

We went for a Sunday lunch and chose the sharing platter. The food was served piping hot, and it was all good quality. Portion sizes were huge. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I would need to try other items on the menu , and definitely plan to return.

The food was really good and a reasonable price too, will be back.

This should be a four or even a five but I couldn't push myself further than a three star! The beer and wine choice was great, good service provided and very clean inside too. The menu was offering a good variety of food. Sunday roast! You can't beat a Sunday roast right? Those hot roast potatoes, a fair portion of beef? Nice hot Yorkshire pudding? Steaming veg? Plenty of gravy and extra roast potatoes? It wasn't quite there. It felt more like a small taster meal! Or a meal made for a small child then mistakenly passed to the adult! There were two roast potatoes! Yes two!! One small to medium sized and one small! The veg was Luke warm and the Yorkshire pudding was room temperature! Two thin slices of beef underneath it. It looked like more beef was there but I soon realised two slices it was! At a pound under twenty five pounds for the meal I was disappointed! There is definitely a decent chef in the kitchen but the lack of food for a traditional Sunday roast was shocking! I was still hungry after the meal which was a shame! I know it's tough in the catering world but please give us some value for our hard earned money!

Only had drinks here but the pub is very clean and modern with a friendly atmosphere.

Bwoy dis place have the sweetest curry goat. Sumbady say theirs was salty. But mine wasnt it was sweeeet. They also do a lobster special - i've tasted it and itd noice noh hell.

Food excellent nicest madras chicken i have tasted in years my friends mushroom omolette cooked to perfection service was brilliant staff very helpful top marks to chef we will be going regular and already made booking for xmas

Burnt to a crisp burger and pink on the Inside clear cooked from Frozen garlic bread burnt to a crisp at the bottom frozen re cooked/ burnt meatballs and no deserts or coffee

You get served very quickly, prices are good, and the fish are great

Visited on a Saturday evening with a friend. We were not disappointed. Food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. The upstairs has been done out providing more tables and there’s a real chilled buzz with Ibiza style music playing. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Another great meal at Coach and Horses Kingstown while charging the car at Carlisle Ionity, which is about 5 minutes walk away. Food at C& H was top quality and portions are fab. Come prepared lol! Service is always friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money and a great range of drinks, including driver friendly options. Reservations for dining are recommended as it's very popular.

Conceited arrogance. Simply they sent us the wrong order, it was way too hot and went in the bin. Phones them up 3 time and left messages, no reply. When we got through they asked why did it take so long to complain, seriously! Took no responsibility, said they never get things wrong, blamed Uber Eats, who is the supplier here? Reason I never went back to their over rated restaurant was because I had a huge, dead, bluebottle in my chutney one time. No apologies then either.

went here for something to eat at around 2.30 on a thursday afternoon, we were served by Jasmine from behind the bar who was really nice and friendly and looked after us brilliantly. The food cooked by Jim in the kitchen was very tasty, I had chilli, with lovely chips, rice, sour cream and nachos, my girlfriend had chicken ,mushroom and bacon pie with big chunks of chicken breast and plenty of mushrooms. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in a friendly pub , we will definitely be back.
