Snugbury’s has been a family tradition since I was a kid to now with my own kids. The kids love trying to be the first ones to spot the hay sculpture (which is currently Paddington) on the drive to it. We went this time to start the spooky season off, as they have currently a lovely little pumpkin patch and spooky trail leading up to Paddington. They have decorated it beautifully. They also have a fire pit to toast marshmallows. A food truck serving hotdogs and also snugpuds and not to mention the ice cream! It’s a perfect place for an afternoon out.

We came to Snugburys (at Hurleston, just outside Nantwich - well signposted) to meet a friend who had assured us the ice cream here was worth the almost 2 hour drive. They were right. We arrived at the farm (and it technically is still a farm) in miserable heavy rain and were dismayed to find the actual ice cream parlour (if parlour isn't too grandiose a term) has absolutely no seating. None. So we were faced with eating our ice creams in the pouring rain, or sat on the floor of the parlour. We chose the latter. There were a really good variety of flavours to choose from, and we each mixed and matched two flavours on a double scoop cone. I opted for 'Death by Chicolate' on top of Honeycomb, and whilst the Honeycomb was more a case of something more akin to vanilla with large chunks of honeycomb in it, the Death by Chocolate was incredible. My wife had Salted Caramel (I can't remember the other) and she assured me it was possibly the best ice cream she had ever had! Our daughter also ate all her little tub of vanilla ice cream too and thoroughly enjoyed it. But Snugburys is not just known for ice cream however. No indeed! It is also in the Guinness Book of Records for producing a 35ft tall straw Dalek, weighing in at a whopping 5 tonnes, back in 2013. Every year they produce another enormous straw Statue, and on the occasion we visited it was a whopping 50ft high Paddington Bear which I think I read weighed in at 9 tonne. An incredible feat and one that is done for a very worthy charity to boot. Absolutely fantastic. I urge anyone to go and visit this place, even if you detest ice cream. The straw statues are worth it alone! I am confident we will return one day and I very much look forward to it.

I saw the review about the circus but believe this was nothing at all to do with Snugburys. They just provided the ground so it’s very unfair to give this wonderful family business one star. I went to the circus with my grandson and he loved it. What he loved even more was the ice cream!! And the amazing 50’ Paddington. How did they make that.

It's with a heavy heart. I have to write thid sad news. Sadly I missed the circus last year, so this year, based on last year's pictures/ videos, and this year's promotional marketing material to advertise the tickets, I booked tickets to come this year with my mum and 2 children. We arrived this year, with my panda mad 6 year old, (this boy has over 30 panda stuffed toys and ma to be very disheartened to NOT see the panda, as advertised. My son was very upset, to say the least. As was I, having commuted over an hour to visit you, even the chocolate brownie ice cream couldn't console his disappointment. It's simply not fair to advertise something that didn't happen. Just thought you should know our feelings, maybe don't advertise it like thus next year if no panda is visiting the event. I've thought about putting my feelings forward since visiting that afternoon, and i wrote directly to Snugburys. As of yet, they've not actually acknowledged my message or given an explanation. We've been many times over the years for ice cream and to see the figures but I don't think I'll bother again, as it seems they don't really care what their customers think.

Lovely visit to Snugburys today with quite a few family members. We've been several times over the past few months and decided to go today to see the new Paddington sculpture. He's very impressive and it a much needed upgrade from the bee who was looking a bit tired. The new wildflower walk was lovely as well. Ice cream was as delicious as always, I had the special edition Paddington themed marmalade flavour which made a nice change from my favourite cappuccino flavour. Other family members had cookie dough, rum and raisin, raspberry ripple and mango sorbet flavours. We all very much enjoyed our ice cream. An hour or so at Snugburys is always a nice outing.

Very popular ice cream farm , known for it's amazing ice creams and giant straw sculptures . The ice creams are huge with a choice of cone or tub , single, double and triple scoop . I went for the double cone £5 ( chocolate brownie and rum & raisin ) , very indulgent and amazing . There is plenty of parking which is needed on busy days , and also toilet facilities . They have some farm animals and a wild flower walk including some small straw sculptures . The main event is of course the new giant Paddington bear sculpture which can be seen from the road . You can of course walk upto it whilst eating your ice cream . I also found out that there is also a milkshake shack on route to the sculpture .

We visited Snugburys on the way back from a shopping trip on a nice, sunny Sunday afternoon. Very impressed with the ice cream itself, although we did have to wait a while as the queue was huge! The Peter Rabbit was something quite special. However I felt like the place was missing something, like maybe a shop? Or somewhere more to sit. I probably won’t visit again due to this but I’d recommend visiting once.

This has got to have the best ice cream I think I've ever eaten! So many flavours, home made, and cheap! Had honey comb and strawberry on a waffle cone....amazing! Place was really busy for the middle of the winter so it must be good. They even have pigs you can say hello to.

We called in for an ice cream and judging by the que of people when we arrived it must be good. Staff churned through the line and a quick wait we were licking the most delicious ice cream ever. The pig and goat got a pat and the last of our cones. Meanwhile the Peter Rabbit sculpture from hay is amazing. Great spot for a family outing and treat. Delicious...

I live very locally to this place and for fellow people from Nantwich and surrounding areas it’s very convenient for a quick trip to snugburys. Don’t be fooled, it’s not exactly an attraction. You go for a taste of the ice cream, a look and the huge straw statue and of course the piggy’s. I always enjoy my trip, but we rarely spend more than 20 minutes here. Opt for a chocolate flavour! Yummy.

Wonky trolley and staff leaving clutter in the aisles makes an already tedious process even worse and I know it isn't Aldis fault but why is there always a screaming child?
