Traditional british chippie doing take-away. Fully tiled inside so it's quite loud and echoing while you wait for your fish and chips. Fish was delicious.

Reasonably priced. Average chips fairly soggy. When someone asks for chips, peas and gravy the peas should go in the bottom. 🤦🏻‍♂️ hardly any gravy so ended up with a dry mess which went in the bin. Has been ok last few times I’ve been but poor tonight. Chips and gravy should be swimming in gravy.

The best chips I have had from a chip shop in years! Plus the fishcake was amazing , and even the mushy peas and gravy were special. Way above the average expectations of a small local chip shop. Highly recommended.

Really good fresh fish and chips

Not the best chippy. Chips are Enemic not cooked enough partly raw. Got home barm cake was shredded poorly buttered and wasn’t a nice barm, had to hold it together. Potato fritter was bad. Too big and hard wasn’t nice too thick. Won’t be going back

Food is great, good menu and spotlessly clean, parking is easy as is the online menu, if I have one little moan and it's the same with most chippies these days, when you use the walk in they take your order and payment then there's a wait, I suppose that it means everything is Cooked to order and therefore fresher? Great chippy though.

Best fish and chips in Macc. Generous portion of fresh cod with great batter and top notch crispy chips. Plus excellent curry sauce. Been trying to find a good chippy for months and finally hit the jackpot!

The food here is delicious and is very reasonably priced. My 3 star review however is based on their click and collect service during the pandemic. This is supposed to be an easy way to pick up your food and avoid people, but I arrived at the chippy to discover a huge queue of people, who it turns out all made their orders for the same time as mine, and 15 minutes after I was due to collect my order, they had just started to make it. This is not good enough in the current times, if they can't keep the click and collect times separate, then they need to stop offering the service as this is dangerous and I've been left stood in a queue for over 20 minutes surrounded by other people.

Just had the most amazing fish and chips. Ordered via the website, very easy to navigate and freshly cooked to order. Service, quality and friendly chippie, well deserved of the five stars. 😁😁

Been going to this chippy for the past 2 years and I’ve had a decent take away in the past but tonight the service was atrocious. Pre-ordered the food and arrived a few minutes after my allotted time. I waited outside for about 12 minutes as there was only a max of 2 people in the shop at a time. When I go in I get told by the manager that I’m over 15 minutes late and he made a scene in front of other customers which left me embarrassed, he then mentioned my lateness another 2 times. The food was cold, greasy and overly salted by the time I got home. To top it off he starts complaining to another customer about how his staff are on furlough but he wants them to come to work, even though they’re on furlough!.. Won’t be going back, recommend to avoid.

The last couple of times I've been in the service has been excellent but the food not so great, when anything is battered it's not left long enough to drain and crisp up so when you get home the fish that I had was soggy and swimming (literally!) in grease. I couldn't eat it. We're giving it a miss for a while.

Really good improvement from the previous owners. I've only ever had the lunchtime offer but always find the fish or puddings well cooked. Chips are nice and crunchy and the sides are lovely. Keep up the good work guys!

Food quality seems to be hit and miss. We've been and it's been lovely but we've also been and the mushy peas have been undercooked and the fish burnt. And I'd say it's probably been about 60/40 in terms of whether the food was good

Very delicious! Great food at a great price and eco friendly too (their trays are made from sugar and can be composted!). I made use of their online pre order and pre pay too so no waiting around (it can get busy here)

I am a sales manager and visit many chip shops all over Cheshire and Staffordshire. This is a little Gem, fantastic food, great portions, great service and good pricing. I love stopping here. Lovely staff. Stop by and you will not be disappointed.

Excellent local chip shop with good service and great food. Food typically cooked from fresh so there is a short wait. Limited menu which is reflected in the good quality and freshness. Prices seem good. Plenty of parking nearby. Haddock is the only fish on offer.

Popped in to collect a fish and chip supper as kitchen being painted. It was only 7pm but there was only one piece of fish left! I was persuaded to try the Fish Bites and I must say they were delicious, perhaps a little more fattening but absolutely worth it. Everything was freshly cooked and tasted top notch.

Delicious food that was made fresh to order, and the friendly staff made the short wait fly by. Portions are large and the prices are decent. Fantastic to have such a high-quality establishment open up locally that I hope to patron for years to come. An important thing to note for the environmentally minded - the owners have clearly put a lot of time and effort in to creating a chippy that's environmentally friendly. Fully compostable Bioboxes take the place of polystyrene, and everything can be recycled. Very refreshing to see young owners take such initiative.

If I pay good money for chips I don't want ones that have obviously bin sat there for a long time n look and taste like they have been cooked 10 times and r cold . Same with sausage . If I want a charcoal sausage I'll cook one at home lol . NEVER AGAIN ! n I'll b spreading the word to friends n family . I'd of put 0 stars if I had the option.

Food is delicious - perfectly cooked, generous portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and very reasonably priced. They pride themselves on their efforts to reduce plastic waste by providing recyclable/compostable packaging, and the staff are absolutely lovely and provide the highest level of service, with a smile :-) would recommend 100 times over!! *****

This is a new chippy on the site of the old, so any reviews prior to October 2018 refer to that one. This new Chippy is great. The staff are friendly and well organised. The prices are good as are the portion sizes. The Haddock was perfect. Just the right balance with the batter. Another plus point is that they take card payments whereas the old chippy didn't. It's a smart operation and I hope they do well. Nice to have the local chippy back again.

Always friendly and prompt. Great chippy, always nice and clean. They don't accept cards, so the nearest cashpoint is the little Tesco off the roundabout 2 min walk away.

Nice little chippy. Reasonable prices, food tasted very nice and staff were very friendly. Everything seemed very clean and well looked after. There is a good selection of food including sides on the menu (still no battered halloumi, my search continues). They also don't take cards. Plenty of parking directly adjacent though.
