Wow what a feast. The food was absolutely amazing and so many delicious options to choose from. Service is equally important and the service matched the quality of the food. If you aren't sure about this restaurant let me assure you i have been 4 times and every single time i have been impressed.

Still serving the best Indian food in Macclesfield. Menu covers north Indian, Nepalese and a some southern Indian dishes. Highlights are the onion bhaji, dosa and Nepalese lamb & fish specials e.g. Sherpa lamb. Service as always friendly and efficient. It's a big restaurant split into 2 halves so there's always space yet has a cosy atmosphere. We went on 10th anniversary night and received a free drink & choc cake!

I had a great time with my family here at Gurkha Dining. The food was amazing and so delicious, can't be expressed in words. The staffs were so cheerful and lovely, and their service was topmost.

The staff at Gurkha are always so obliging and friendly. What is even more remarkable is the food: my family have owned Indian dining establishments and I have huge experience in tasting Indian food. From all this, Gurkha features as probably the best Indian food (although Nepalese more correctly) that I have ever tasted. Extremely fresh ingredients coupled with the use of a variety of whole spices enhance the dishes to a cut above other places. Delicious!

Went for our evening meal when in Macclesfield. Welcome was warm, food was amazing and service throughout was professional. The poppadoms and pickle tray were fresh and tasty. For starters both the Aloo Tikki and Paneer Pakora were full of flavour. For mains we had Shahi Paneer and a Kidney bean dish with ginger and garlic. Both were great. We had pilau rice and roti to go with them. Good value too.

Way to much sauce and for a mild dish Karahi chicken was on fire. Massala had no flavour and soooo much sauce and the nann breads hmmmm looked and tasted like shop bought. 1st and last time.

This restaurant never fails. Excellent food and even better customer service. The servers have great menu knowledge and are always happy to suggest a meal that is always delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your visit.

We are visiting Gurkha Dining for dinners since last few years, it is one of the best quality indian/nepalease food i came across during my last 14 years in and around Manchester. very polite and friendly staff as well with lovely ambience inside.

Not a generic 5* review, we just love this place. I've tried about 3 different curry dishes and loved them. The meat-chunks starter is fantastic. The atmosphere is fine, just what you'd want if you're eating-in. And the service is as good as anywhere you could hope for 👍

food was tasty, think May have been mix up with one of the curries as didn't look or taste like masala more like a korma, was still nice all the same. poppadoms all broken, but not end of the world

Just had probably the most adventurous and tastiest meal I've ever eaten. With such a selection I wasn't sure what to have. Our lovely waiter Newash (kneewash) recommended the Gurka soldier. The different flavours were sublime. Seriously can't recommend it enough. The great thing is that our other waiter Ali offered to take us Gurkha training afterwards 😉 Sabina was a wonderful hostess. And whoever the chef was (know what I mean Harry) certainly knows his stuff. Not in anyway expensive. Newash thanks for the Nepalese 💧. Will definitely be back on a regular basis.

I booked a table for 4 for my birthday celebration Having never been here before I wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and polite They didn't rush us to choose what we wanted The food was amazing spicy enough to give it a kick but not so much that you couldn't taste the meat May have been out first visit but definitely won't be the last

Simply delicious. I went for the daa kula lamb, now it says it’s a curry but to me it’s more like a stew, the pieces of lamb are decent and fall apart when you eat them, I went for the house special fried rice and it’s a perfect complement, It’s also very filling. I will definitely be ordering from here again. An easy 5 stars.

Food was excellent. Korma was spot on, Jafrezi was full of crunchy vegetables and thick chunks of ckicken, and the Madras was lovely and spicy hot. Rice, Naan and poppadoms were superb.

Been here multiple times and always leave with a great experience. The momo was usual was amazing. Also ordered the lamb sank for the first time which was fantastic and would definitely recommend to everyone.

My husband and I booked Christmas day lunch at the Gurkha restaurant. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and made very welcome by Hari, his lovely wife and staff. The organistaion was like a well oiled machine, the food arrived promptly and the timing between courses was perfect. As a starter we both had the smoked salmon and avocado cocktail, delicious! (Can I have the recipe please??) Followed by roast turkey with all the trimmings, everything cooked to perfection. Finally, apple and cinnamon pie with brandy custard, coffee and mince pies. A thoroughly enjoyable and happy experience and excellent value for money.

Really tasty food, naan breads could be a bit bigger. We couldn’t really taste the difference between keema naan and regular naan but the onion bhaji’s were a good size and we’re very nice. We would buy from here again.

Terrible its disgusting how this restaurant can deliver food in such poor condition and charge for it.

Disappointed only used because it’s Cheeky Tuesday and 20% off but chips were stone cold and the Chicken Tikka Massala was more of a Korma in taste and appearance. Garlic and Coriander Naan bread was very small, hard and dry so sorry tried you after a 18 month absence but still the same average food.

They have great range of Nepalese food and I love their thali and chicken momo. The starters are great. Very good atmosphere and staffs are friendly and polite.

We have a curry club which meets monthly, I had encouraged the club to visit the Ghurka in Macclesfield. The starters had been very good, full of flavour, we had been determined to stay with the Ghurka menu. There had been four of us in attendance, my meals had been very good, value for money was good too…flavours excellent, just perhaps go easy on the salt in the cooking. The staff were excellent and very helpful. I would recommend this restaurant for all visitors…

I always visit here when I’m Macclesfield. I come down from Edinburgh and this is a must for every trip. Great food and great service, couldn’t ask for anything more

Gurkha Dining is the ideal restaurant for having a get together with friends. My friends and I all loved our meals. I ordered chicken momos for the first time and I was blown away by the delicious flavour. My friends had main dishes including the Daa Kula lamb and the Everest lamb and they were very happy with their meals. I also ordered a mixed grill and I was very impressed. I can’t wait to come back.

My family and I dined in at Gurkha Dining and had another wonderful time. I ordered a mixed grill which was marinated and cooked to perfection. My wife greatly enjoyed the Sherpa lamb curry and garlic coriander naan, whilst my kids loved their piro prawn and gurkha regimental meals. The service was also very welcoming and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all foodies.

We had an amazing experience in Gurkha Dinning. One of my regulars in the town. Had a lot of tasty dishes. My favorites were Momos and Chowmein. One of the authentic taste of Nepal.

Try the specialist Nepali dishes such as Sherpa Lamb in preference to the standard Indian fare (Madras, Vindaloo etc), although the latter are perfectly good.

I had the worst experience with the proprietor of this restaurant...she is extremely rude ..fails to comply with how the customer feels... absolutely shocking..I dine alot in London.. Birmingham also Manchester.. never have I had to deal with such a rude insulting person..kept my order over an HR ..failed to call my contact number as most would automatically call and explain the delivery driver is late ..not started prepping..she thought this was ok ...she even put the phone down on me..no it isn't ..shabby rude and totally unprofessional..I would not want to spend a penny of my money on such an establishment..I like to go to places that respect customers....i feel it's important..I think her unprofessional attitude reflects the ombience of the place ..this has maybe saved me from a feeling of waste of money experience..if she can treat customers with such disrespect.. Money back for me ..no Thankyou!!..

Says it's open both on the internet and on the door. But it's CLOSED at 1pm. No excuse whatsoever, shame on you.

Starters arrived after a long wait.... almost 2 hours later we asked about our main course.... apparently, they were busy. Nobody said anything about this when we arrived.... 2 hours and no main course.... apparently, we were out off order for asked where are food was.....

Delicious food and welcoming service. A nice level of heat in all the wonderfully flavoured dishes. Another plus is that the food isn't at all oily.

Food was very tasty and we really enjoyed the flavours. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough of the Daa: Kula Curry (Lamb). Sharing with my partner we had 8 small cubes of lamb to share, leaving over half a tub of gravy.. No veg or anything just 8 cubes of lamb drowning in gravy. This dish cost £12.75 so I felt a bit hard done by. When I called up to speak to them about it I had to tell 3 different people to same thing, to be told that's how much I am meant to get. When I said obviously I wasn't happy with it he said 'well we have to pay £15 per kilo of lamb' and that they aren't willing to do anything about it.' Very unhelpful and poor customer service :-(. Also 8 cube sof lamb is probably less than 350grams, how can you justify nearly £13 for 8 cubes and a tub of gravy.. When speng in £35 on a takeaway, that is definitely not good value for money.

This is my first takeaway from Gurkha Dining, which I chose based on the good reviews. I have to say that neither myself nor my husband enjoyed the food. The chicken tikka wasn’t very nice and the house special fried rice wasn’t aromatic or spiced in a way I would expect, in fact it was bland. The peshwari naan was nice and my husband had a plain naan but he could taste coconut in it. My husband left all his meal but I did eat a quarter of mine as I was really hungry and had spent £28 on this. I will give the leftovers to my mum and dad to try in case they might like it. Sorry Gurkha Dining, it wasn’t good for us.

This food was the worst indian / Nepalese food I have ever eaten . The restaurant had a few white people who were eating there and seemed to be enjoying it so I felt sorry for them ad they don’t know any different . Spoilt the night and we left there hungry . Change the chef I say 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

My experience in Gurkha Dining was marvelous. The ambience was amazing along with friendly service from staffs and owner. I don't have words to describe the food, it was mouth-watering and full of Nepali flavours, it was just the food I was missing and needed at that moment. Thank you so much for such tasty experience.

Fish Pakora to die for, the lamb Pardeshi was the best I have had in years, absolutely the best I have had for a long long time excellent isn’t a good enough word.

Another great visit to Gurkha dining, three of us were having an evening meal we ordered Chicken Tikka Bhuna, Chicken Tikka Balti, Vegetable Karahi, onion fried rice, special fried rice, Jeera rice, WOW what an amazing meal, the flavour and the depth of the spices was fantastic, we have not been dining out for a while and had forgotten just how good the food is, cannot wait to return, and great value for money and lovely staff.

It showed up late, and way later than the stated delivery time before ordering, but the food was amazing!...

Absolutely appalling. Food missing but the worst was all the dishes were open and had fallen all over each other in the bag it looked like it had been taken out of the bin. It was totally inedible We called uo to ask explain and she said there was nothing they could do for a couple Of hours. We won’t be ordering off them again
