Six of us had dinner on Saturday, the food was delicious and presented beautifully, the service excellent, a great wine list and a lovely atmosphere.

WOW. First time here and usually places that look the part, don’t usually have the food to match. This is not the case for the Vault! Food was hot, fresh and SO tasty. We are so so impressed and the staff were so speedy and on it with everything. We had a child free night and usually hesitant on trying different places but can say for certainty we will be back ASAP. In love! We tried all the small plates and sushi and were blown away.

Set menu fantastic value, food very nicely presented & tasty. Good wine, great service. The Apple crumble was superb, we will definitely be back soon.

An Asian fusion Sunday roast is a preposterous idea. Yorkshire pudding with Katsu chicken... Char Siu Pork and roast potatoes. Stupid. But it was INCREDIBLE I've fantasised about this since. The platter looked amazing the food looked amazing and service was warm and friendly. I could write a lengthy review but it makes me sad to think I must wait to do this again. Need to watch the pennies and the waistline and besides now we must go back to eat of an evening. I don't know who is cooking this behind the scenes as it's like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory where nothing much seems to be going on. Seriously - JUST BOOK IT!

This restaurant offers so much potential but we ordered both the Tomahawk steak & the Chateau Briend to be subsequently told that both were sold out at 7.00 on a Saturday night 🤷. We arrived at 7.00 with a junior member of the family to be told that we must be out for 9.00 which shouldn’t have been a problem. When starters eventually arrived they were great but after 1.5 hours still no mains so challenged the maitre de. We were given complete rubbish about the delays and the preparation of our alternative steaks 🥩. We left with only paying for drinks something I had never done before but a restaurant that offered so much promise was a truly shocking experience. I would not return, who runs out of there best steaks on Saturday night ?

Had the most amazing Sunday lunch with Yorkshire puddings the size of a dinner plate!! Reasonably priced too and cocktail to die for thank you for you're service. Will be back very soon.

It was not a proper Asian foods, they should not open and call Asian Restaurant. Shame Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK IN THIS RESTAURANT. IT WAS AWFUL FOODS, AWFUL WASTE OF TIME TOO MUCH SWEET AND SUGAR IN THE FOODS. Get a takeaway better than this Vault restaurant. They should close soon or change cheffs.

Our first visit to The Vault. Very impressed. Exceptional presentation, highly professional service from Matthew throughout the meal, and the most fantastic experience of tastes and flavours throughout the day. And……..surprisingly good value. Everything was extremely reasonably priced - given the style and high quality of the whole meal. This is within easy walking distance 😍

A great place to meet friends and enjoy a cocktail or two, however, the food MUST NOT BE MISSED. Always excellent quality, and the staff are brilliant. A welcoming, friendly vibe with some of the best food you can get. A personal favourite are the duck pancakes. Keep up the good work guys👌🏻

First time here tonight, lovely food great service, on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Only criticism was the noise from the people drinking at the front we couldn't hear ourselves think until the windows were shut. However will definitely be returning and recommend to friends

Went with my mother, Aunty and cousin for Mother’s day. Food and service was excellent. The whole experience is made by Mathew. An asset to your company. First met him at Lunar and now i use the Vault. Their loss is definitely the Vaults gain 👏

Enjoyed a lovely take on afternoon tea at the vault! Booking online was easy. Arriving at the venue a little late but received a warm and understanding welcome by Matthew he was lovely and professional and very smartly dressed. We were seated in the terrace, table was dressed for us specifically which made it feel special. Service from start to finish was excellent. Food presentation was beautiful, plated artfully. All options were a nice temperature and lovely flavours, sauces asked for and recied quickly to enjoy meal. Highly rated the 70% of the dishes! Surprisingly filling!! The coffee was good quality and hot. Cocktail Tiramisu was tasty. We will be returning lovely little spot!! With some great experiences on offer. Thank you

All round great restaurant, booked for my fiancées birthday and was greeted very politely by the host, who was very well spoke and we felt like he couldn’t do enough for us. Unfortunately I cannot recall his name. The atmosphere was lovely and the decor was bang on. Food was outstanding, will definitely be returning and trying other bits!

Disappointed ☹️ We’ve visited the Vault numerous times before particularly when it first opened and were blown away by the small shared Asian plates flavours but this time we left really disappointed. The new menu was pretty uninspiring and the flavours average at best so with a bill of nearly £120 for 2 people we were expecting much more, such a shame but it’s not what it once was.

Really really really enjoyed it! Great food, drinks and service!! A fresh and tasty meal.

Called in on a Saturday without a reservation, treated like we had with fantastic hosting skills and we waited for 20 mins or so for a table whilst sipping on the most incredible bacon smoky old fashioned. Once seated, again, the service was excellent and what followed was top notch food! Really loved the tunes and the ambience, felt like we were in a really cool place. Will 100% be back again. Well done The Vault!

Our first time visiting The Vault and from the moment we arrived to when we left, was a whole experience. From front of house to the decoration, it was just superb. Can’t recommend The Vault enough. The food was outstanding, ambience perfect and service was incredible. Highly recommend and we will be retuning!

Service a little slow but was worth the wait .

We waited ages for our starters they only arrived when we asked where they were, however they had sat under the hot lamps for ten minutes so weren’t exactly fresh , the portion of ‘ duck leg to share ‘ was tiny . The mains were good , a tad pricey for not particularly outstanding food , what made me chuckle were the staff saying “ service “ then waiting for food & drinks to go out! Sort out the service and delivery of food and you’ll get there

We visited the Vault for a family celebration, what a great night we had, the food was amazing. There was a great choice on the menu. After having 3 courses off the menu we had cocktails on the new terrace. It is a stunning location with with a great ambience. A big thank you to Matt who really looked after us and made it a great fun night.

First time visit with my daughter. Eady to book. We were greeted promptly and took straight to our table. The service throughout the evening was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, we both had vegetarian options and there was lots of choices. We shared dessert which sublime. We'll definitely be returning. Only criticism was the volume of the music playing. As a hearing aid wearer I found it hard to hear what my day was saying.

Went to the Vault with my daughter and partner and was knocked out by the variety presentation and quality of the restaurant. the food was delicious and the service was excellent. This is the type of restaurant only usually found in a big city so Alsager are lucky to have it. Highly recommended

Visited last night for the first time and it certainly won’t be the last. The food was exceptional and the staff were lovely and there were plenty of them but they weren’t intrusive. Myself and one friend had the Pork belly and it was the nicest either of us have ever tasted, it was so tender and delicious. The mains and desserts were stunning too. It was amazing to be seated opposite the kitchen so that we could watch the very talented chefs preparing the food. It was an all together 10/10 dining experience for us. Top marks for the manager for allowing us to stay longer than the stated duration time due to us not seeing each other very often and needing a full on catch up. Would definitely recommend The Vault.

The food was lovely plenty of choice between Japanese style and English. Staff were very attentive and very friendly. The food is good value but typical of restaurants in the UK drinks drinks are expensive. The ambience is also great. Would definitely recommend

I liked it but given it is wholly Korean and Japanese, perhaps a wider base would be gained, reflecting that in the name? Anyway, food wise we had tuna fin sushi, Korean sweetcorn ribs, very different. Wife loved her Terynaki Salmon, my ramen didn’t need the pak Choi but is was excellent. Beer choice very good.

Having visited The Vault on numerous occasions I highly recommend. We have sampled sushi Sunday, the set menu and many cocktails and never had any complaints. Service has always been excellent and it’s one of our favourite spots in Alsager for a nice meal.

I was looking forward to this place based on reviews and friends saying how good it was… The venue was a little smaller than I imagined, not the end of the world as long as the food lives up to expectations.. However, Prawn sushi was fridge cold, brittle and broke up into the soy sauce as soon as you picked it up. Char Sui Bao Bun was very dry and felt like it was missing a sauce. Confit duck leg literally tasted of nothing apart from stinking old roast duck, hoi sun sauce lacked any flavour and spring onions had the consistency as if the dry outer layer hadn’t been removed . Chicken Gyoza was bland with hardly any filling. Chicken satay was baked well but bland and still had the old annoying and chewy ligaments attached. Hardly any satay sauce and what sauce there was, did not taste of anything nor add anything to the dish at all. Salt & pepper potatoes were Sunday roast potatoes but again, very bland. Everything came with gardens of coriander. Staff seemed miserable and service was slow after we initially ordered. The best things were the drinks, ASAHI on draft and a great mocktail. Home made Wasabi was a nice touch. Overall, it was severely underwhelming and felt like it catered for a much older crowd maybe.. Definitely not worth the money or the hype.

Dreadful Service painfully slow with inattentive staff. Meal was mediocre to say the least. Sea bass with a huge dollop of unappetising rice. Salt and pepper squid was okay. Fish cakes tasty. 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and second order forgotten! One meal didn’t turn up and we were lied to when the house manger/ head waiter said it’s on its way! Must have fetched it from Crewe in his car as it took 20 minutes to arrive! What a shambles and not good enough. We were given the second round of drinks and the missing meal for free but that’s not what we went for! Extremely disappointed to be honest. Lovely restaurant with poor management who need a wake up call. We’ll give it another six months and return. Watch this space!

We’ve eaten at The Vault numerous times but tonight was simply outstanding. We enjoyed the Taste of Hong Kong tasting menu immensely - food was novel & delicious, excellent drink selection and a delicious cocktail menu, service impeccable and the restaurant itself a wonderful setting for it all. Would highly recommend The Vault to anyone looking for a unique dining experience.

We loved it. Very opulent surroundings, a lot of attention and money has gone into it. Staff very pleasant, worked very hard as only 2 were on and it was quite busy at times. Menu interesting and enough choice, food was well presented and tasty. Drinks quite expensive although we went onto have the 2 for 1 cocktails which were great value. My only gripe is the discretionary service charge which is added on (even on the drinks bill) which I don’t like & prefer to decide myself how much to tip, although they did say we could take it off if we wanted (we didn’t). Has the potential to be high end and hope it does well, we will definitely be back soon.

Had a great night at my daughters engagement party

We had high expectations from the reviews but were left disappointed. There wasn't a big choice on the menu and when our seabass main arrived it was pretty bland and very salty. Very expensive for what you got. Also the service was very slow. Won't be rushing back any time soon.

Visited on the Saturday for a friends daughters birthday and on the Sunday for traditional Sunday lunch with family. The service and food was excellent and we will be returning on a regular basis. A special mention to Mathew who I first met at Lunar as he was the head man there. It was down to Mat that I booked at the Vault and his service and attention to his customers is second to none.

First time we've been to the restaurant - went for lunch Sunday at 2pm. Everything about the visit was great - venue is lovely, nice background music, food was delicious, service was great, cocktails were lovely. Will definitely be back. Lovely inside but the food wasn’t good, long waits as well. 2 of the dishes we couldn’t eat but thankfully they were taken off the bill for us. We've had a fantastic lunch with the halloumi poke bowl and the tenderest belly pork I've ever known. Finished with and sublime Polenta cake and pistachio topping and fresh delicious ice cream. A restaurant with bouncers! First impressions are everything and sadly this one did not impress. The entrance was in darkness, hardly warm and inviting. We were sat in a table next to a tacky fake cherry blossom tree. The table was far too small and whilst dodging branches in one side, we dodged waitresses on the other, it was a thoroughfare to the till area. The menu was not explained well. So many side dishes were not necessary. The design of the menu was poor and made for difficult reading. The table was slippery and a neighbouring table lost a wine glass. Wine went over other diners as well as the floor. It was far too loud and lacked ambiance. Overall, we will not return. There are better places to dine when spending as much as we did. A lot of hype about nothing.

Now been here on three occasions. A date night, meal with a friend and most recently with the kids as a treat. Brilliant every time with quality food and great service. The only dish that I wasn’t so keen on was the crispy squid but both the girls ranked it as their favourite! Looking forward to next time, I love this place.
