Semplicemente fantastico. Servizio perfetto e cibo ottimo, sopratthtto se si vuole provare la tipica pie inglese e fare un pasto gustoso!

Had a Moo steak and ale pie. Never heard of it before. The pastry was ok but gave up on the meat filling. Meat tough and uneatable. Disappointed with the pie. Maybe I was just unlucky. Plenty of other pie companies.

Staff very miserable looking and very blunt. Food ok but prefer the other Manchester store on Deansgate. Better service and much better atmosphere. Won’t be returning to nothern quarter.

Had a great dish of pie and mash. Alex was our wonderful server who made the whole experience a delight. When in Liverpool be sure to drop in.

A nice change, great selection of pies all to be had with mash and pees, I had the Kate and Sidney pie and it was full of meat with a nice crusty base.

Popped in for lunch this week with my son who lives in Manchester , wasn’t terribly impressed to be honest , the pie s were ok but mash and gravy was lukewarm and not much to write home about , quite small portion , and quite expensive , 2 pies , mash , gravy , 1 beer and a coke came to £30 , wouldn’t eat here again

This place caught my eye from over the road and I had to go. The food was amazing! Staff were fantastic. It was clean and we just got a lovely vibe. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Went to this particular Pieminister several years ago whilst working in Manchester. It must have been good because about 7 years later I'm back again. (I don't live in Manchester!). And I wasn't disappointed. The decor is very appropriate to the type of food served. No linen table cloths and cut glass here. It's a small place but friendly and comfortable. Hubby had Moo and Blue (Steak and Blue cheese) and I had Kate and Sidney (Steak and kidney). We also had all the trimmings - mash, mushy peas, crispy onions, cheese and gravy. Both pies were piping hot when they arrived with gravy in little individual gravy boats. The pastry was lovely and crisp - no soggy bottoms here and there was plenty of filling. Delicious! The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Thank you Kai and Dave. We had a great meal and a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this place.

I’m sorry to say I forgot to write this review and when logging in realised I hadn’t done it right, so here goes! We arrived to a smiling face, and brought straight to our reserved table. We asked dietary requirements which one of us has, gluten free. 5 meals, a few drinks and a friendly atmosphere. A fabulous day had by all, friends meeting up after not seeing each other for a long time living in different parts of the Uk. We couldn’t of asked for a better meal and better staff, thank you so so much, I apologise the two staff were male, one out front and one in kitchen and forget their names the date was 22nd March.

The best pie ever!! Thank you Kai and Dave for an amazing evening, the moo and blue was delicious, your service incredible and a great little stop in the busy northern quarter. My husband and I will be back to see you soon <3

Großartiger Service und leckeres Essen! Das aller erste Mal, dass ich aktiv nach meinen Allergien gefragt wurde und mir gesagt wurde, was ich dann besser meide. Travel buddy und ich hatten beide das Lunch-Menü mit Getränk. Man konnte sich aus 8 Pies einen aussuchen + eine Beilage und Gravy. Es gibt auch vegane und vegetarische Optionen und die Getränke sind keine 0815-Cola und Co. Wenn wir die Zeit haben kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Good pies. Also the gluten free pies were amazing (gluten free pie is the picture with the gravy on the right side and pie on the left...normal pie is the picture with gravy on top and pie on the bottom of the pic). Crispy crust with heaven inside. <3 The service was friendly and I liked the look in the restaurant. Coffe also good!

If I didn't love the food so much I would never go back. The service is so slow. It needs a good multitasking female behind that counter. They must loose thousands turning folks away because they are so painfully slow. Table next to me had to ask for gravy and then ask for sugar for their drink. The guy serving he gets annoyed being asked for anything. This aside the whole mothership is awesome its just so frustrating watching the unorganised bloke prepare one plate at a time.

Friendly staff, great interior, great food however attended with a sober diner and only had one option which didn’t contain alcohol which limited his options which was very dissapointing. Mash was quite hard too but tasty.

During a shopping trip during December we popped in for a quick lunch, it was quiet but that was fine as we got a nice table even without a booking. Perfect food for a rainy day and because I couldn't decide on sides because they all sounded so good I ordered extra! We dont often visit Pieminister but will make more of an effort to return in the new year.

I went a while back and was disappointed with thin gravy but this time it was delicious! I had the mothership which is mash, mushy peas and cheddar and crispy onions. Moolin rouge pie was very nice and a cheap place to dine out. My pie was very overcooked on the base but the rest of the groups pies were fine (I didn't mind because I was full anyway). Great portion size, not too big before a night out. They have a happy hour for 241 cocktails as well, they were lovely. Friendly staff but lack of facilities, only two toilets and one was out of order.

Sin duda, lo mejor que puedes comer en Manchester y, probablemente, en Inglaterra. Son una especie de tartas de hojaldre rellenas de diferentes ingredientes y acompañados de puré de patata, guisantes o varias cosas. Nosotros probamos la de carne con queso azul (Moo-blue) y la de pollo con aceitunas (Fandango) y estaba delicioso, para chuparse los dedos.Suele estar hasta rriba así que, paciencia. Eso sí, la única pega que les pongo es que son un poco lentos para calentar algo que está hecho y ponerle algo de puré de patata.

My G.F. had a conference to attend in Manchester and I had the day to myself to explore Manchester. Before arriving I had made a foodie itinerary for the day and Pieminister was my late lunch destination. I was looking for somewhere that was not a chain and was cheap. I had seen this when I visited Affleck’s. Lovely staff, great menu (pie wise) and great food. They do have a festive menu, which I didn’t see till I had ordered but looked very interesting. Will definitely come back on my next visit.

What a great find, really reasonable prices and excellent food and service. If you like pies you’re going to love this little friendly restaurant with a super atmospheric buzz and service - I really suggest a visit and the pie selection caters for all tastes, allergies and dietary challenges - especially those with an appetite! Their own lager is also very palatable and has the added bonus 5% goes to good local causes!

I had the steak and ale it was ok it was not the best pie I have ever had but it was nice - the pastry was the best bit but that’s not to say the filling was not great it’s just that the pasty was outstanding

Please mum can we have a turkey pieminister for Christmas Day Lunch for a change? Sometimes a gal needs a proper ‘pie’ and oh yes these are. Located close to Piccadilly Gardens on Church Street. Needed that pie after shopping in the Trafford Centre and a quick walk around the Christmas Markets. Busy for a Tuesday but a nice and cosy place to eat a pie. Everywhere was immaculate including the toilets. Great service. Very helpful explaining the menu and all the gluten free, vegetarian and meat pies. Bought some to take home for the freezer at £4 each. Go on try it what’s not to like/love yum yum yum

Wow! What a treat. My daughter found this place and suggested lunch there. So glad she did! Both of us are vegetarians. She had Chooks Away - a vegan chicken pie which she said was amazing, and I had the Christingle off the specials menu - parsnips, chestnuts oooh so tasty. The pies were served on top of some cheesey mash with minted peas on top and a sprinkle of crispy onions an a separate serving of gravy! What lovely pies and flavours. Next time I'm in the area I will be returning.

This is a nice cosy place serving what I would class as comforting food. I had a wild mushroom, asparagus and white wine sauce pie, mash and mushy peas. It was yummy and I cleaned my plate!

Visited on a Monday at 5.30pm. Busy with diners eating in and more people coming in for takeaways, always a good sign. I must confess I like pies , ordinarily my wife isnt a fan but Pieminister pies arent ordinary pies. Approx 10 different varieties with Christmas menu additions. I had Moolin Rouge ( they like their pie puns) which was beef, red wine and bacon. My wife had Christingle which was parsnips, leeks and chestnuts. Ok so the pies are £5 each but thats because they are stuffed with good size quality chunks of meat with the same appling to all ingredients used. Sides such as mash, garden peas, mushy peas etc.. are £2.50 ea or a pie and 2 sides for £8.50. Special mention for the mash.Friendly, quick service sending us out into a cold evening with a warm glow inside.

I visited with my wife & 2 great friends. It’s not a big place which means the service is the best really felt like one to one. Now the pies are #Amazing along with the cheesy mash. You won’t go wrong by visiting this place. Vegan & gluten free pies too. Will be back again next time in Manchester.

The pies were really good and I think it's a good and moderately priced meal and a good option to try some traditional British food. Felt so full after it. We tried a vegetarian and meat pie - both were good, but the vegetarian pie had a better gravy (the taste was fuller). The staff was super friendly.

Had lunch here. A pie and peas each plus two pints. Good pies and the meat was very tender. Prices were a little high for pies but you pay the extra for the convenience of a sit down lunch. The pub was nearly empty when we visited but it. Is small and could get crowded. Very pleasant and helpful staff

Wow!! Small place! Big heart! Honestly it can’t be missed. Was in Manchester for a seminar and on my break I went around the centre and found this amazing little place that serves British hearty Pies with really creamy mash, gravy and mushy peas. The Pie was full of tender meat and crispy flaky pastry (they have a wide range of pies even vegan and gluten free ones). Very affordable, staff are very very pleasant! From being greeted with a smile to being served with speed and efficiency! If you are ever in Manchester then please check this place out! You won’t be disappointed! P.s they have the pies on display so you can see how big they are ;)

Onky small premises. Great atmosohere. Wonderful feshly home made pies- served as a stack on bed of mash with mushy peas on the top ! Blu Moo was wonderful- steak and stilton. Traditional steak and kidney also as good- gravy so rich and full of flavour. Fungi chicken was also great. We tried each others pies ! Great staff. Great price point. Open from 11am for lunch and dinner service until 10pm.

Just what was expected. Being a family with two small children we called in advance as there is not a lot of space. We could arrive immediately so fitted perfectly.
