The best restaurants in Cheshire West and Chester North West

Visited two times this last week. Great selection of beers, informed staff and a great sound track. Did anyone mention the quirky decor? Bonkers.

Andy and Catherine have been nothing but welcoming every time we pop in for a drink or to eat, the food is really nice and the cost of reasonable. I’ll always support a local business, am there Saturday with friends for dinner and very much looking forward to it

Absolutely excellent restaurant, fantastic food with hospitable service

Having eaten here before, we came again! The first time it was very busy and the quality of the food was sensational! This time, downstairs was running about 5 tables and the “Classic Moule” wasn’t following a traditional recipe! The carrots were awful and the portion sizes between my partner and I varied by about 20%! There was no butter offered with the bread - the overall taste was so so! We pointed out the issues to the restaurant manager who didn’t really seem to understand our concerns! Chez Joules next time ( having eaten there before too) One could argue that the ingredients were written on the menu…… however…. Having had this “ Classic” dish so many times in the South of France, I didn’t bother reading the ingredients list as being everyone knows, there are no carrots in the traditional dish? In addition, we weren’t offered the “Mother’s Day” 2 course deal, despite being within the time range

Delicious salmon shashlik, decent sides. Really enjoyed our meal. Staff are hit and miss. The younger ones are really friendly, some of the older ones we find miserable 🤣🫣

We always stop here for a coffee and a cake on our weekly bike ride. Lovely little place, with great food/coffee and a great atmosphere.

Loved it 😊. Visiting Chester and found this Tapas restaurant. Lovely experience,staff a delight and helpful. Food GOOD!!

We went for the two for one meal on the day we visited. I love fish and chips so ordered the meal. The fish meal was the same price on the half price menu as on the main menu (£18.95). When the meal was served, the fish was only half the size and I asked the server why it was so small, he replied that the cook had been told to serve a small fish on the two for one menu.

The best Thai ever! The food and the service was fantastic, couldn’t recommend enough. The portions are massive and there is a wide range of food to choose from. We will definitely be back

Very expensive and nothing too special……….staff were all really lovely and welcoming but we did feel rushed. Our soup bowls were being taken away when our friends were still eating. Nothing special unfortunately and we all said we would not rush back.

Says 9:30pm. Walked in with other patrons at 8:15pm and told kitchen was already closed!

Be aware, now closes at 7:30pm on a Sunday, so don't get there at 7:25pm like I did as you're going to be frustrated! When open, great beer selection and decent food.

Enjoyed an outstanding meal today. The beautiful calamari was a definite highlight & I also really enjoyed the fish tacos. Shared some very tasty chorizo nachos as well. To be honest though, anything off the menu would have probably been delicious and I can't wait to go back again. They vary their menus often which is great & there's a consistent quality across the board. Friendly service & absolutely killer music 🤘

Lovely stay in a very luxurious hotel...staff very friendly and attentive, food was excellent, I can recommend the fish Thai red curry...
