We come here often for a couple of chilled drinks & love it so much - family & dog friendly, the loveliest staff so friendly , the feel of this place is so great, this bank hol weekend was just brilliant they had a DJ event Fri sat & sun we came every day! Different genre each day and just so chilled to sit listen to with so many lovely like minded people. They had locally baked pies available for those who were hungry and the cocktails made fresh & so yummy! Couldn’t rate this place more, the vibe is perfect & super happy we have it around the corner from our home

Helped develop an already solid hoole community into what it is today. Visited by all the locals for the seasonal events. (Light switch on for example) they do delightful events with local shops providing top tier food with beer or wine pairings! We as a local community are lucky to have them.

Used to be a great place and a favourite of mine. Beers are usually good and there’s usually a good selection to choose from. It’s comfortable and a nice place to be. The issues are with the staff and the pricing. Twice now I’ve been overcharged, most recently the price displayed was incorrect but not honoured. Staff seem to be disinterested. Also on a recent visit a staff member tried to offer a beer as a low alcohol (0.5%) which was actually over 5% (it was a 0.5 litre bottle). Some staff training and some care with the pricing and this place can be great again.

Lots of beers to choose from. Which pleased the hubby. Only one draught cider though.

Incredible little local that has added so much to Hoole, which was already pretty good! Often pop in for a pint on a dog walk or with the family (the snacks, coffee and babyccinos are good too!) or for one of their events teaming up with other local independents in the area. The recent Taco evening with Bear Bakery was something else. Great beers and cocktails and the food was out of this world. Can't wait for the next one!

They have a great selection of beer that is regularly changing, aswell as wine and cocktails! The staff are very friendly and always give great suggestions. They often have events involving local businesses such as wine and cheese nights from the local deli and Taco night. The atmosphere is great and very dog friendly.

We absolutely love this place! Atmosphere & drinks - always a 10/10! We’ve been to all of their limited time themed events - the taco one being the latest and honestly the food was insane! Would absolutely recommend - always a great pint with lots of choice!

Great staff, nice atmosphere. Not a traditional pub, it’s a tap room. Extremely welcoming to families dogs and babies etc, we go all the time.

This has become my favourite bar outside of town, and even managed to convert my wife to a believer! Team behind the bar are brilliant and highly knowledgeable of the beers. Menu changed regularly, and never a bad thing! Really recommend to anyone who wants to get involved in craft ales, or anyone just passing

Lively atmosphere, good selection of beers, great service. Would recomend adding some soft furnishings on the walls as it can get really loud at times.

Decent option for craft style beer around Hoole. They have a lot of similar light beers and lagers at the expense of darker beers to my partner’s chagrin. She ends up buying expensive cans of overly strong stout from the fridge. I agree with the other reviewer about the acoustics. If it’s full it sounds like you’re in a football stadium!

Cracking beer selection, both on draft and in the fridge, staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and it's a great place for a relaxed pint!

Best place in Hoole. Now also serving cocktails. Do some great pastries on the bar too. Perfect with a coffee early in the day.

Guys I can't comment on the drinks but listen whilst the weather is warm or even when not , in your window you NEED to advertise your iced coffees. Because they are the best and biggest in Chester and Hoole. The coffee you use is fantastic and mixes smooth with the milk. Trust me you hose down all the other cafes in the area. The other places give you measley amounts especially that pig one and Costa is just vomit.Get it advertised! There's also other milk for the weirdos.

Something about the acoustics makes this place quite loud and it is expensive, however, I do like it on the whole and love the selection of craft beers.

Love the atmosphere and drink choice. Only issue is people vape in here and staff dont tell them not too. Haven't we learnt the lesson of breathing in the toxic fumes of others?

Reasonable place. Shame the beer board is the opposite ends of the building to the bar. Decent choice of beers. Dog friendly. Plenty of seating although it can get quite loud

Great selection of beer and changed frequently. Prices are a little high for some of the craft beers and it can get quite load due to being open plan, but definitely the top night spot in Hoole.

This is a great little place, very simple inside but very welcoming still. Lots of chairs, tables and stool window seating. The beer is very good and varied. The only thing I would ask for is a beer menu. The staff are always ready to explain and help but a beer menu with notes would help a lot. I can't see very well so the taps against the back wall whilst colourful are ultimately illegible.. Dog friendly and me and Sheba do enjoy it. Water and biscuits are always offered. 👍

It's...nice staff are friendly yet the building lacks an atmosphere, its clean as to the wc(always a plus) but I cant put my finger on it there is something missing ? ...will I go again yes of course, do I recommend...yes go its a nice place.
