Nice place by the marina. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pleasant views. Good food at a sensible price. Loads of free parking. Friendly service.

Lovely setting in the Marina on the canal. You also have to drive past the ice cream place also.

Nice place for a relaxing coffee looking out onto the canal boats. Modern, clean and unique. We only had a coffee but the good looked good

Food and coffee were great but there was only one poor lad providing service for mist of the time we were there....long wait for a simple order. I'm sure normally it would be fine.

Called in twice for breakfast. First rate food and service. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Long wait for coffee. Heard management complaining loudly that someone had left without paying. Not a great atmosphere will not go again.

Visited here on 16th July. We had the most amazing fruit scones with jam and cream, by far the best we have had in a long while! Would highly recommend visiting here. Staff very friendly and polite.

Visited on the way to our holiday cottage. All I can say is what a fantastic breakfast they serve. Thought I might need a doggy bag when I so I arrive. Lovely friendly staff. Also enjoyed a lovely walk around the marina.

Oh my days... These cakes are unbelievable as was the breakfast service was great only downside queuing for toilets but it wouldn't put me off... Have a scone 👌

Service was confusing as they didn’t know what was available. They got the drinks order wrong and we had to wait an age for the food. The young girls serving were very friendly though. The chef then decided to come out and shout at us for not letting her know we were coming as it was approaching lunchtime and told us to let her know in future. There won’t be a future as we won’t be returning. Well done Chef

Amazingly good coffee and great location right on the canal

It was a wet and very windy day but once we had sussed out how to get through the marina security barrier we had a great hour at the cafe. The owner/manager couldn't have been more helpful. I had the best pecan pie I've ever had and the carrot cake that my friends had was top notch. We will certainly be returning - hopefully on a day with better weather so we appreciate the surroundings better.

The Boathouse is a fabulous restaurant for great meals and drinks or just coffee and cakes. Open to the public and boaters moored on the marina.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, views of the water, boats & hills. Good good and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, will be retuning soon hopefully.

Was very noisy - no soft surfaces in the room. A bit crowded if someone uses a cane or wheelchair. Food was fine. Service was a bit indifferent.

Daytime is a bit hit and miss with staff knowledge!? However the staff on the Friday evening were very helpful and the cooked meal was just very tasty - chicken burger and a steak pie.

Incredible little cafe on the water! Our party had the pea and ham soup, bacon bap, cheese pie, bacon, Brie and cranberry panini, as well as the walnut and coffee cake - all of them homemade and DELICIOUS!! The sort of quality here is better than most other places you’d find in the centre of Chester or elsewhere that would likely charge you 3 times the price! If you’re nearby then this is definitely the place to come for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee and a cake.
