Amazing home cooked Thai food. We come regularly. Great service, generous portions and really reasonable prices. Only a tiny place but it’s so authentic. Staff are so friendly

We moved here last year and came to this restaurant shortly after and loved it. So, we came back again end July 2024 on a Saturday. It's absolutely fantastic food again! It's all cooked 100 percent fresh as you wait a little for starters and main which is great cos I hate it rushed. You can smell the spices cooking. The food and presentation is exceptional. It was very busy but it's small so Saturdays bound to be busy. It's so unique inside and the bar and lounge area is lovely. The staff are amazing. I heard they might be selling up and I am gutted if that happens. A lot of locals feel the same. It's exceptional. And on top of that, really great prices. It only cost us around £40 for two of us and we had starter, main and 2 beers! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place

Very surprised!!! My friend took me here but the wine bar sign and no mention of Thai restaurant and the decor had me worrying.. BUT no need the food was fabulous especially the chicken toast and I will be definitely going back..

Excellent menu, prices of the menu are unbelievably low. Superb value for money. This deserves a visit. Friendly staff and even the chef came out to assist, remarkable.

I highly recommend this Thai restaurant. Their food is authentic and delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Today's buffet experience was fantastic. We really enjoyed dishes like crispy prawn-in-fried toast, melt-in-your-mouth rib, chicken nugget, Egg fried rice, Tofu satay, Chicken skewer, Spring roll, Thai curry with peanuts, SomTam, and others. They also have lots of Vegan options. Definitely be back for more!

The food is clean, very delicious, Thai flavor. The cook is very good. Park your car at a parking lot nearby.

Third visit and just as good as the previous two. Delicious fresh food. The papaya salad is to die for but not for the feint hearted. The starter platter is also really good. Would definitely recommend.

Red curry was so salty, som tam was adequate but you should separate the sauce, then when get home can mix it, a portion on rice £2.50 looked half full and living in Thailand the rice was 15 THB worth

Had take away for the first time. Delicious mixed starter then I had Beef Penang Curry and wife had chicken massaman. Amazing flavours and incredibly fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed best Thai had for some time and will now be a regular. Thank you.

After moving back to Northwich 3 years ago I've been searching for somewhere to satisfy my Thai craving. Tonight I found it! Food was as authentic as any I've had previously, portions were incredibly generous and price was very reasonable. Personal favourites were the waterfall beef salad, pork penang curry and chicken pad Thai but it was all amazing. Haven't eaten in the restaurant yet but can already guarantee we will be regular takeaway customers. Couldn't be happier!

I've hoped & prayed for a Thai restaurant / takeaway to open in Northwich for years as it's one of my favourite cuisines so was super excited when I heard about Chapels & have not been disappointed! I've ordered takeaways & eaten in, & the food is absolutely spot on either way! It's extremely reasonably priced & the portion sizes are very generous, so it's great value for money! You'll either stuff yourself until you're fit to burst because it's so tasty or have some delicious leftovers to look forward to the following day! The only thing I would say is that it took me a bit of searching to find a menu online the first time I ordered takeaway, I eventually found it in the photos section on their Facebook page & picked up a leaflet copy when I picked up my first order from them! We've ordered takeaways several times now & the food is always ready & waiting when we arrive to pick it up, which is great as have often had to hang around when collecting elsewhere! I've only eaten in once with a big group of friends & they coped very well with all our orders, everyone was very impressed with the quality & quantity of their dishes! All in all, this is a great place to eat in or takeaway from & would highly recommend it!

What a great find. I drive past this place regularly and was aware they did Thai food but I wasn't aware it was a lovely little restaurant where they serve the best Thai I've had in over 10 years. The two girls serving were attentive and lovely. The food was amazing. It's my new favourite place to eat

Ordered some Thai food and asked for mine to be spicy. When I got home it was so bland and claggy that it was inedible. Phone to complain and they took my number but never called back. My wife phoned a few days later to follow up and their reaction was very poor. Remembers taking my number but said she never said she would call back, really didn't care. and just incredibly poor customer service. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss. Eaten thai food all over the world, including Thailand, and this was just extremely poor.

Came here today for the first time. They were short on staff tonight which caused some delay in getting our food, but I can’t hold that against them. The food was absolutely lovely and the bill at the end of the meal pleasantly surprised us.

Food was really good,had a fish meal and A duck meal with mixed starter. Definitely go again.

We had a take away last week and the food was really poor, we have been a couple of times before and it has always been nice (not amazing) but this time wasn’t good at all. They’ve changed the chicken satay, no peanut dipping sauce it’s now on the skewers with an overpowering taste of turmeric and not much else. There were no spring rolls or prawn crackers to order. The penang curry had very little flavour and seemed to have been made with frozen veg or it was over cooked as very soft, the massaman was poor with huge chunks of carrot in (never seen carrot in this type of curry) and the beef tasted strange and was really chewy, We also ordered steak Nam Tok and it was really unpleasant, it wasn’t steak but more like re-heated beef (the same that was in the the massaman) and was covered in fat and tasted nothing like any other nam tok we have had before and we eat a lot of Thai food. Even the egg fried rice was loaded with tumeric and was like a solid brick when it arrived as that much had been crammed into the box, yet the other rices we ordered were half empty. Really disappointing and was not cheap. Sorry to say we won’t be going back

Poor experience, ordered beef stirfry, chicken came when we mentioned she took away and had to wait for fresh beef to be cooked, same with noodles ordered egg received rice noodles offered to change but by this point we just wanted to eat what we had. One of our children had chicken nuggets which consisted of 4 nuggets and 2 turkey dinosaurs which was obviously something plucked out of a freezer. The Panaf curry was tasty but the overall experience and incompetence was not good. Would we return no

This has been the best food I have tasted for a long time. The ingredients was fresh and the flavours were amazing and the price is reasonable for the amazing quality. I'd give this a 12 out of 10 .... Best takeaway and restaurant by far 💫🌟🌟💫

Best place for Thai food outside Thailand

We have had three meals here and they have been wonderful. However our last meal was not as we ordered off the menu. I ordered egg noodles and got fettuccine pasta,beansprouts non existence, my fiance ordered king prawn dish with carrot and baby tomatoes again non existence, later told they were out of those ingredients. Had they told us this we could have picked another option. I feel like the Cook just cooked what she had and thought they won't know the difference but my fiance was married to a Thai lady and knew exactly what he was eating. Once we complained we were then ignored,no one came up to ask us if we want another drink etc so we decided to leave. When we complained the man on the desk just hummed and ahhed, our bill was reduced (not enough in my opinion) but the man never once acknowledged our complaint or apologised. We will go here again but will be checking our order,make sure you get what you order not what the Cook thinks will do!!!!

Disappointing tiny portion of rice for the price. Not overly happy quite small portions for the price. The container isn't even half full.

Chapel's Wine Bar is a fantastic place, the food was as close to real Thai food as you could hope for outside of Thailand. The papaya salad was an absolute treat I never thought I'd have anything close to it in the UK. The staff were really friendly and there was a new lass working (I think first day) and she was really good! They even had a few little quirks like people mowing lawns on the TV which is exactly like the kind of unexpected thing you'd have on in a restaurant in Chiang Mai. We will definitely be back!

Second time eating here. First time, over the Christmas period, the food was amazing. Fresh, zingy, tasty and the best Thai I've had in a while. Tonight, less good. The pad Thai was greasy as was the mixed starter. Hoping it was just a one off as the food we had over Christmas was wonderful. Will try again though.

Really nice place with amazing food. We had beef soup for a starter and what a lovely surprise, tasty and fresh. Our next meals were even better For 3 people buffet with 3beers and coke just under £50. Will definitely return

Just wanted to say that I had a gorgeous takeaway from chapels Thai restaurant last night. The mixed starters were very tasty and the Penang curry was full of flavour beautifully set off for me by sticky rice

Definitely a hiden gem. Fantastic Thai food cooked with lots fresh ingredients that taste fantastic. Staff are very friendly too and the whole place has a peaceful atmosphere. They also do a full English breakfast on Saturday and Sunday which is one of the best I've ever had. They are quite extraordinary.

This review is based on my experience dining here on a Sunday morning only. The menu was very basic and had zero vegetarian or vegan selections. My fiancé basically had beans on toast. We waited well over 30 mins for it to arrive and when it did, we were missing mushrooms and it was lukewarm at best. We were so hungry though; we just ate it (Lord knows how much longer we would have had to wait otherwise) Can't complain at portion size, but just under £30 for 2 breakfasts, beans on toast and 3 drinks is very expensive (when you compare it to some of the places in Runcorn)

Top notch authentic Thai food, and good value for money. Family meal ordered and collected in half an hour. Highly recommended.

I had breakfast at chapels last Saturday morning and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. Quality was very good and excellent value for money. Mark and Noy were very attentive and friendly as always. I would highly recommend breakfast here. Served Sat& Sun mornings.

This is a great pub restaurant located on the high street in weaverham.. here you can enjoy an evening out for a meal and a pint with family and friends. The food here is authentic Thai cuisine using only the best traditional thai ingredients by the chapel's wine bar very own landlady and authentic highly qualified Thai chef. The landlord and landlady are great publicans warm and friendly in their day to day running of the bar and restaurant. Here you can also get thai takeaway food and the portions are big. And the taste is out of this world.. you really must try the food here... i highly recommend a visit. There are also rooms available to rent on a Bed and Breakfast basis here.

Just had an absolutely brilliant takeaway from Chapel's - our first one from here, but will definitely be coming back! We ordered a green curry and a panang curry and both were spot on, even the jasmine rice was lovely. Couldn't be happier.

Ok, says a wine bar, but a pub that has an amazing Thai take away in it. Got it home and it was the best Thai takeaway IV ever had.

Stayed here for one night only found place by chance passing and well what can I say what a great place to stay room spacious good price . The staff are so friendly warm welcoming. The food is cooked amazingly fresh. Juke box and pool table darts and bar area well stocked and would recommend highly.
