Authentic Thai food! Delicious vegetable spring rolls and vegetable green Thai curry with coconut rice. Staff is so friendly and polite. This is my third visit and I will definitely be coming back.

Oh dear..... Having read previous reviews I was looking forward to dining here but unfortunately it was quite disappointing. I must also add that their Food Hygiene rating is now a 3 and not a 4 that is displayed on the front window. Hmmmm!!!!

Good Indian food. Simple decor.

Our first time to try this restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food are really delicious, I am so happy and satisfied the way they prepare and cooked the Pad Thai I ordered, Chicken Satay was also amazing. I highly recommend this place

If you are in the mood for some Thai cuisine you would find it hard to find better than this. We had the Thai fish cakes and the scallops to start and they were exquisite. Presentation was lovely with plenty of authentic dips to choose from. For our mains I had the king prawn red Thai curry, which was a little spicy but plentiful in flavour. The prawns were cooked to perfection. We had the sticky rice to share. The price was very reasonable and there we were spoilt for choice with the menu meaning we will be back to try some of the other dishes. The service was discreet but friendly. The decor was a little outdated, if I was being picky.

Been several times, twice in June both the food and the service was great . Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Chinese or Thai food.

Ate for the first time at the Sang Jun with family for the special mid week banquet deal. Excellent value for money - numerous courses and you can have -extra dishes should you still have room - incudes starters - soups - mains. Tried a variety of dishes and all tasted great - right at the edge of main road in Neston.

Had a wonderful 'buffet' meal here,food all fresh and very tasty...waitress was lovely..only downside was drinks are extremely pricey..£3 for a can of soft drink and £4.50 for a small bottle of Chang lager.

The food here is really authentic, great value and excellent. All the staff are brilliant, such good fun. Its great for every event from romantic evenings to parties. Their karaoke’s are legendary.

First time trying this restaurant. Really delicious meal. Buffet menu is great value. We have starter platter which was all delicious, then pork pad Thai, beef green curry and chicken panang curry. All were really tasty. Service was great and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely go again.

Disappointed to be honest food was OK, hot and sour soup big letdown and tasteless , beef in main very tough ,Starters were good though , advertised as buffet but not a buffet you are restricted to what you can order here , will not be going back here

This is a lovely small authentic Thai restaurant. The staff are lovely and friendly. The menu is extensive and has an excellent vegetarian options. Beautifully presented and carved vegetable decoration. Shame to it them! We always love going to Sang Jun. Our favourite Thai EVER!

This is quite an understated restaurant from the outside and you could easily walk past without a second glance but don't pass it by if you enjoy authentic Thai cooking. My husband and I went in on the off chance mid-week without booking and were allocated a table straight away. I'm not sure how easily you'd be able to do this on a Friday or Saturday though. We both shared the Thai Banquet which was plentiful and good value but obviously relies on your liking all the dishes as it's a set menu and can't be changed. Will definitely be back in 2023.

Always very welcoming with excellent quality food

The Sang Jun Thai restaurant in Neston never fails to impress. The owners and the staff there make everyone feel so welcome whether you have booked or just walked in for a table. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday they do a buffet but rather than lots of food sitting there in a traditional buffet you order what you want from a set menu and can have as much as you like. Its a great way to share dishes, try something new or have a few helpings of your favourite dish. The Vegetables in a creamy coconut soup is highly recommended for the 2nd course. Everything is so fresh and freshly prepared to order. Thai Beer, Magners, coke etc at just £3 each is fantastic prices on drinks too.

What a little find!! We loved our food and the staff were amazing. We had a banquet. All the food was so fresh and served at a great pace. Brilliant from start to finish and would highly recommend.

After the first lockdown I got sick of takeaways like pizza, fish and chips etc. Tried this place and now it's the only takeaway I go to. Food feels fresh, great tasting and authentic, not at all heavy. Staff are lovely and would highly recommend 🙂👍

1st time visit for birthday celebration after Xmas one cancelled. Food was amazing from starters to main... no room for ice cream.. Coffee was good. Will be returning.

Fantastic food and so hospitable. Will absolutely visit again. The buffet was excellent value and delicious. They even had Thai beer. Buffet included starters, soup and main.

After failing to get into Mr Chows, we spotted this place and thought we’d get a takeaway, which turned out to be some of the best food we’d had in a long time, so a week later we booked a table. Their honey and bbq spare ribs are off the scale delicious and my green curry with coconut rice was sublime. Staff are so lovely and friendly and food is great value with generous portions. We feel like we’ve discovered a little gem.

Visited with friends for their anniversary... made to feel very welcome . Friendly , helpful waitress who was eager to help with food recommendations. Relaxed ambiance; not rushed to order . When we did the food was excellent. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals . Good selection of drinks on the menu and reasonably priced . Extremely good value ...a great night and I thoroughly recommend a visit ...will be back very soon .

As a treat for two, we decided to justify paying £40 for what we hoped would be a good quality takeout. We ordered two starters and two mains. The food arrived nearly an hour late, with no apology on arrival, we were greeted by an obscenely small starter for the price. Spending exactly £7.95 on scallops which turned out to be three miniscule scallops and greasy water. Laughable. The rest of the small portioned meals were luke warm at best which we had to heat up. We decided to call as we could only assume there had been some sort of mistake. When explaining our order, we had no apology and appalling customer service with no attempt to reasure us or rectify our disappointment. I'd literally save your money and we won't be ordering from this place again! We're going to post a picture of this starter on another review site as people need to see this!

Ordered from here last week ...and wow! The food was perfection. I love thai food. my favourite restaurant closed a few year back and since then I have been hunting for somwhere that could match up. And here definitely has done that. Can not rate this restaurant enough on delivery and taste ! I'm sure we will be going /ordering again soon :)

Ordered from just eat last night at 6:30, delivery time was 20:00. Nothing came so we tired ringing the restaurant a number of times, no answer. Delivery time then changed to 21:10, by 21:30 still nothing so rang and rang again no answer. The food finally arrived at 21:45 with no apology or explanation. No offer of money back or anything for our wait. Terrible customer service

Had a very good meal for 4 here. The food was very good and the service was extremely enthusiastic. The Som Tam, especially, was really fresh and spicy. What was also noticeable was that COVID measures were taken seriously. Hand sanitiser by the door and also supplied to the table after we had sat down. Face shields on the waiting staff. Insistence that the contact form was completed, and we all had our temperatures taken prior to ordering. All in all, definitely worth a visit and definitely worth supporting a small business that is taking things seriously.

A once good restaurant has been ruined by greedy, money grubbing behaviour. They used to offer a discount on home delivery but this has been erased. So suddenly our order was £5 more than usual for the same food.The delivery lady - THE MANAGER, no less - then had the gall to ask if we wanted our change! She hadn't expected us to actually want our change so had to go back to the car to get it, then purposefully short changed us. She simply handed us a £1 coin and walked off when we were owed more than that. That's outright theft from their customers!When we last ate in the restaurant the waitress gave us a bowl of prawn crackers, which had always been free, then tried to charge us for them on the bill. We had not asked for them, we were just given them. A free product, sneakily being given out and now charged for. They also added a 10% service charge on to the bill without it being mentioned anywhere. We refused to pay it, considering they already tried to charge us for food we didn't order. The service charge is a blatant grab at more money and has completely sullied our opinion of this restaurant.

We are regular customers here and we have never had any issues. Normally visit on the ‘all you can eat’ for £12pp day and often have take aways. Food is always beautiful and fresh!!! We have a young daughter and the staff always go out the way to entertain and cater for her. It’s a shame more people don’t visit!

Great place. used to be in hoylake called pepper sauce. the sunday buffet is great food and great value for money. I'd definitely recommend. It's worth driving for and there is a carpark just opposite.

We went for the ‘eat as much as you like’ menu. Excellent food all freshly cooked as you go along so no stale food sitting out, also they cooked my green curry just as I liked it as I asked for it not to be too hot!. Food is very good & excellent value.Staff can’t be nicer, very friendly & attentive. I recommend this place!

This is a good Thai l have visited many times and generally the food is very good, I went on Saturday night with my wife and grandson and had a excellent meal, when the bill arrived I was shocked to see a 10% service charge had been added with no prior notice, it wasn’t shown in the menu or displayed anywhere in the restaurant. I called the waitress and told I was refusing the pay it, after 10 minutes I was given the 10% back which to be honest spoilt the evening, it’s such a shame they decided to sneak this charge on to loyal patrons.

Went to Sang Jun for first time tonight with three friends, we all chose from the £12 all you can eat buffet menu and wow what great food we were treated to and all with the friendliest service, we'll definitely be back very soon.

Four of us visited here on “buffet evening” with all servings being freshly prepared to order. Starters and all mains were excellent, served piping hot and good portions. This is our second visit when in the area and we will be back.

Flippin’ furious – lived in Neston 12 bloomin’ years and only last night tried this place. Neither exciting nor adventurous, just good with a charming prompt service and super clean premises. We opted for the £12pp ‘all you can eat’ (Tues, Thurs, Sun) and I didn’t believe it meant what it said. We had a selection of spring rolls, sticky lemon chicken etc to start, a choice of great soups, then mains of Thai curry, Sweet’n’sour etc with sticky rice, all washed down with Singha Thai beer (5%). I could only manage one main, but Alison, who, despite having the figure of a racing snake accepted the offer of more! The staff’s sole purpose seemed to be to ensure we were too wide to leave. Will be a regular from now on. Open from 5 pm most days, from lunchtime on Sundays, easy parking at Neston public (free) car park 20 yards away. What a place this is. Fabulous food at very reasonable prices, so full of flavour and quality ingredients. Succulent beef and chicken, fresh vegetables and all cooked to perfection. Neston is a small village on the Wirral - it is well worth a visit to this place. You won't be disappointed.

Poor food. Moneybag supposedly pork mince. The bag is filled with sweetcorn and carrots .on microscopic examination you may find a few granules of pork.. sets the ethos of the place!

Visited with the husband had the Tuesday night banquet which was good value for money at £12 pp. The restaurant is lovely decorated with picture frames and ornaments and was steady with business the waitress was friendly and kept asking if we would like more food. Licenced bar that sells bottles of Chang and a carpark across the road.

Staff really friendly but the food was a bit Meh. Starters were okay, if a little nouvelle cuisine (i.e. small) but the mains were distinctly average. My Thai green curry was the least convincing one I've ever eaten - and that includes all the feeble attempts I've ever made! Also quite expensive... Service was great though so that made up for the mehness (a little). Wish we'd gone to the Sonargaon next door.

I’ve been here quite a few times now and I’ve always found the food really tasty and the staff really chatty and helpful! I came once when it was my birthday! They got me a cake and also put up banners and balloons and made a real fuss! Every Sunday they do a banquet I think it’s for £12. I also think they do it on a Thursday if my memory serves me correctly. I’ve often gone on the banquet night and it’s always good value!

Have visited Sang Jun a couple of times -most recently on 8th Nov- and have been pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food, general cleanliness of the restaurant (including the toilets) and atmosphere in general!

Had another lovely meal at the Sang Jun. A party were booked in for 8pm and the restaurant was fully dressed, the karaoke machine was warmed up and the team were in full Thai dress (including crowns) ready to wow the crowd in their arrival.

My wife and I had the buffet again tonight, its exceptional value for money and always cooked fresh to order. We always receive a great welcome and the service is second to none, always enjoy a great meal here.

Cracking little Thai. Always come here to eat in or take out. Great tasting food and the portions have got bigger from when they first opened (which is good) The Sunday buffet is a great deal for 12 pounds and made to order food so real fresh. The owner is a lovely bubbly lady and should be the Host of a TV show
