Great atmosphere,friendly pub,food home cooked and was delicious. Prices very reasonable. Will certainly go again.

We went for a family Christmas lunch 7 adults and 3 children 5 years and under food was fantastic as were the staff nothing was too much trouble Thank you for a lovely afternoon

We went to the newly opened Pecks restaurant on Saturday (in the Leone restaurant at the Lion and Swan). We have been going to Pecks for years and went with my parents who have been going since it opened. We were hopeful that it would be just as good as the old Pecks and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful as always and the service was brilliant. On entry we went into the back bar area where we were served promptly, however others were not as lucky and were waiting a while (we put this down to teething issues though as only 2nd night open). We were then called through to the dining area where we were seated and our glorious 7 course meal was started. The food was exceptional and each course well thought out. Between the four of us, we ordered a variety of food and it was all lovely. The only course that we felt slightly let down by was the deserts as the 'chocolate orange roulade' did not taste of orange and one of the other cakes was a bit tasteless. However overall we were more than happy with the food and left very full. The staff were brilliant and attentive and as always, knew all the information about the food that they come around and present. We had a great night and would not hesitate to go back. Visited today for lunch. Beautiful welcome and atmosphere. We had an issue with a family member being unwell. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Bagged one meal up for us, and asked if I wanted my meal keeping warm. When I was ready to eat it, they had prepared me a whole new meal. Such lovely, empathetic staff. It's actually made very emotional as to how understanding the staff were. The food was epic. Out of this world. We will definitely be visiting again. Never, ever have I had such good service from such lovely people. You made its a very special visit, given the personal circumstances. Thank you. X

Nice little farm with a few quirky shops , we only stopped for tea and cakes at the cafe and ended checking out the few animals there and shops ..

Called in after a long walk, had a couple of pleasant drinks. Didn't eat. Well, unless you count crisps, which, I suppose technically is eating. So, did eat and the crisps were nice. That said, a crisp is a crisp is a crisp. They were nice crisps though. Would recommend for a drink, nice atmosphere. Oh, and they do crisps.

Excellent Sunday dinner and a huge portion! Great atmosphere. With lovely people. Also very good value for money!

Excellent quality and value - had the 'chippy Tuesday' fish n chips.

We love it here. Visit quite regularly. Service and staff are brilliant. Had the Christmas 3 course menu today. Didn’t think it was as good as last year. Had the mushroom starter which was very tasty but too minimal.Roast Turkey main was somewhat lacking. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding to crispy. No pigs in blankets. No Christmas crackers which other tables had, although we should have said something but didn’t. The cheesecake dessert was yummy. This is constructive criticism. It won’t deter us from visiting again.

Visited with my grandparents and strait away I realised that there was a massive menu and also a baby and older children park outside. (Kid friendly)

After our excellent tour of LMH in conditions that made you feel for the poor workers of the day, we were ready for coffee and cake. Separate pots of filter coffee and a jug of very hot milk; cheese scones and a slice of Bakewell, just what we needed. Even on a poor weather day, both cafés were busy, hopefully you will get a seat.

Delicious fresh food as a "light bite" menu. We had homemade parsnip and apple soup with wholemeal bread. Goats cheese and beetroot quiche with potato salad and side salad. Pot of tea for two. Good value and fresh.

This place has a vast amount of things for children to play on. However don’t expect to get food quick- they have two cage areas but one is never open and the other has a constant huge queue because the staff take forever! Even if you want drinks you have to queue with the food and last time we queued for 25 minutes! Ridiculous when you have children to supervise and feee!
