First time visitors 30th September, lovley little country pub ,food all homemade , lovely and friendly welcome, would definitely recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Could not fault our visit. We were greeted as we entered and made very welcome. Service was fantastic polite and attentive. Food was delicious. Soup starters followed by liver bacon onion gravy mash and veg 😋 😋 plaice mash and veg 😋😋 both meals spot on .. very good portions and value for money. If you want good food with great service and a very warm welcome this is the place👍 we will be going back.

Proper froendly 'local' pub. Suprb food and great hosts. I love it here - often eat outside where there is a safe and secure children's play area.

A completely 'by chance' drop in , due to a missed turning of a diversion. No table booked, but made most welcome and the enjoyed a fine pub lunch.

Visiting as a family group of 7. From reaching out on Messenger to enquire about Father's Day and hetting a helpful and prompt reply, to the warm welcome at the bar, the very friendly waitress, huge and delicious portions, to the final farewell. Cannot fault this place! Hope to be back soon!

We came across this little gem while driving past it the other week, decided to call in today for food and drink… Absolutely beautiful food, all homemade and well what can I say.. Visited for Father's Day lunch with daughter and son in law. Fantastic meal, fantastic service and great price. One of our very favourite pubs.

Lots of homemade food choices which were fabulous!! Really friendly service. Make sure you book, it gets busy.

4 of us. Only had mains which were delicious and large. £90 total about right. Couldn't face dessert, too full. Will be back

Haven't been for years so thought a visit was needed. The weather was good so I sat outside, went in to order the staff were friendly and attentive, ordered drinks ask if I was eating and said I was so started a tab. The food was freshly cooked and delish. I had a bacon burger it was a thick patty, my friend had cheese omelette salad and chips and she enjoyed her meal. A good selection of beers to try if not driving. It was a lovely country pub to visit on an evening like it was. I'd definitely go back soon.

My third time here, the food is home cooked and amazing, the staff are super helpful and friendly, 9 of us went for a family meal, the kids were seved food first that wasn't too hot, we spilt a drink and it wasn't a problem(apologies), a great experience and very helpful, will be returning 😀

Always love going the Horseshoe for a quiet pint outside and they've got a nice little play area.

This is a great location not far from Mow-Cop, great parking and plenty of outside sitting ( when the weather improves ) there is a good choice of pub food and drink. Service is second to none, give it a try and then burn off those calories with a country side walk

As two couples we enjoyed a delicious meal. We were warmly greeted on our arrival by Mel and shown to our table. The meals were delicious and in particular, the steak pie and braised steak. Mel, who served us, was a ray of sunshine and very efficient. A credit to the restaurant. Will definitely return.

Visted as a group and some changes to the preorders were made which was great although the food for vegan and vegetarians is extremely limited. Moderately priced food and for meat eaters a good menu.

Nice friendly pub with a great atmosphere

Went here one summer lunchtime and the food and service was great but alas not this evening. What a great disappointment. Obviously short staffed as the staff were running around like headless chickens and the fish in beer batter was more crispy batter than fish as the fish was so thin. The salmon was ok but the batter and chips were a big let down. I don’t do bad reviews but felt I had to this review….

A family run concern, the landlord and landlady are really nice people. Food is excellent and the staff work very hard to make your visit enjoyable. We'll worth a visit, especially for Sunday lunch 😋

First visit to this lovely pub great atmosphere and really busy ! Food menu had loads of choice and presentation was great There is also a lovely outside where you can sit under cover Will definitely be going there again !

Called on speck this evening. We were found a table and made to feel right at home. We had the steak pie. It was really nice and it had proper homemade pastry, not like the usual frozen flakey pastry cut to fit on the top of a dish of stewing steak. I had apple crumble and Harry had rhubarb crumble both with custard. Both very nice. We will definitely be back for more

Called by chance for lunch. A lovely olde worlde pub staffed by very friendly and helpful people. Great atmosphere . Ample parking nearby. Set in a lovely country area, with canal nearby. There is plenty of indoor and outside seating and tables, with a lovely beer garden. Child and dog friendly with a play area for the kids to enjoy. The food is plentiful and well priced. Great selection of alcoholic and soft drinks available. There is at least one trad cask ale on the bar. Food is served lunch and evenings. A warm welcome is assured.

We have eaten here three times (two Sunday lunches and mid -week evening meal) in recent weeks, what a refreshing change from the formulaic pub carvery. The hosts are great and the food is too. A lovely traditional pub not many left like it these days. This is a credit to the couple who manage it, so well done to one and all staff. The beer is well kept absolutely spot on. I hope to return here many times in the future.

Nice pub, on the expensive side

We had Canadian relatives staying for a few days. First meal out was 'menu formula food' - ok but far from cheap and not particularly good value. The pub had been fully modernised according to brewery policy, making it just like all other formula pubs in the chain. The external facilities, however, were excellent. Identifying the manager was impossible. The Horseshoe Inn belongs to the same brewery, but was the exact opposite. Our experience was brilliant! Greeted by the most friendly and helpful lady tenant (presumably), who found us a table for 6 in a small pub with great atmosphere! Fabulous home cooked food with ingredients sourced by the landlady and cooked from scratch was presented. The only complaint was the steak, which was a bit overcooked. However, give me a proper pub any time!

We have visited 3 times recently, this is a truly brilliant Robinsons pub. Really friendly service, good beer, good food with generous portions (quality traditional grub) and a great garden with play area. We'll be back again soon!

We had an absolutely brilliant roast here! The food was beautifully cooked and very generous portion sizes. The service was very welcoming and created a lovely atmosphere. We will certainly be back!
