Bacchus in Cheshire East

We recently had a fabulous golden anniversary dinner in this beautiful restaurant. Fine dining at its very best. As usual the service was excellent and the food superb. Thanks to Mike, Paul and all the team for making it such a memorable evening for everyone.

This is an amazing restaurant with professional staff who cater for all needs. I went for the first time for lunch for a family celebration and would highly recommend you visit. The staff were ultra attentive and the food was fabulous.

We are reasonably frequent visitors to Bacchus and had lunch on Friday 19th January. The food, service and value for money were exceptional and the flexibility of being able to mix and match dishes from the lunch and a la carte menus is a very good idea. We will return in the very near future.

We recently dined again at this lovely Prestbury restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The service is always great from the welcoming staff whom are attentive and so very friendly. The food was excellent and is obviously cooked with a passion. I tried the hake and chips as a starter followed by the duck breast, while my wife chose the toasted coconut prawns and then the pork tenderloin. Every course was extremely good and without fault. With a fine selection of wines and spirits, this is certainly a restaurant I'd recommend. It is certainly worth making a reservation due to the popularity of this fine restaurant.

Another excellent meal enjoyed at this lovely restaurant positioned right in the middle of Prestbury village. The service is always second to non with super friendly & attentive staff. The cuisine is fine dining and each course is certainly cooked with a passion. Starting with a tasty hake & chip first course and moving on to the delightful tender duck breast, did not disappoint. The cooking is perfect and with a fine selection of wines and spirits, this is certainly a restaurant I would recommend. I'd suggest a reservation is made due to the popularity of this fine restaurant.

After having a great night here in October I booked Bacchus for a group of friends for our Christmas night out. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent considering they were busy. Steve was hilarious as well,so we were thoroughly entertained all the way through a wonderful dinner!!! My friends loved it and said they felt that we had been treated like VIPs.

We had a wonderful celebration on Friday 1st December thanks to Mike and staff. The food was excellent and the staff were so attentive We were a party of over 50 people and everyone has commented on how good everything was. Thank you so much Mike and staff.

I was expecting great things but I came away feeling rather let down. The service was very good and attentive, the setting is comfortable but the food was uninspiring. My fish and chip starter was unusual, very tasty but very filling. My mushroom pasta was bland and lacking in mushroom flavour and swamped in an overly rich cream sauce. I couldn’t finish the dish and had no space for dessert. Sad really.

Bacchus is our go-to restaurant whenever we’re celebrating a special occasion as the food and service cannot be beaten! My husband and I visited recently to celebrate our anniversary and as usual, everything we had was great quality, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

We ate in the piano bar area, which was comfortable and a good atmosphere (if a little too noisy for easy conversation). We were able to choose from both bar and restaurant menus. All four of us enjoyed our beautifully presented food and our drinks, the service was excellent, and I’d definitely go there again.

This was the most welcoming restaurant serving tasty and attractively presented food we have dined at. We cleaned our plates! The dishes came with vegetables so none of the "make them pay more" attitude of some restaurants. Service was impeccable; the staff were friendly and helpful.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. Came here with friends, who live locally, who'd been meaning to try it, not got round to it. The service is impeccable, the food was cooked perfectly, and tasted fantastic. The wine list is extensive and a little offputting, but the house wines are extremely good. I look forward to eating here again, on my next visit to Prestbury.

We have eaten at Bacchus a few times since moving to the area, so I felt it was about time to write a review. We went for dinner on Saturday with my father, the weather was really hot so we were worried the restaurant might be too warm but when we arrived the doors on either side were open letting in the breeze and we were seated at a table right by them. Food was amazing, pork tenderloin, rack of lamb and seafood platter were all delicious and thoroughly recommended. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We all had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be back soon. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Prestbury, then give Bacchus a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Many thanks

Outstanding service and food as usual. However, it’s such a pity that it’s sister restaurant - The 39 Steps in Styal - was closed recently, as it was just as outstanding as this restaurant and was geographically nearer to me!

WOW....... 2nd visit 1st visit Sunday lunch when staying in Prestbury suitably impressed so decided to spend our 30th wedding anniversary here Friday evening..... Chose A la Carte both had Welsh rarebit souffle then Rabbit loin and rack of lamb we both had deserts ( I think my husband makes delicious chocolate fondant and I wanted to compare and this one did not disappoint) 5 stars to the obviously talented chef .....but it doesn't stop there the highlight here as well as food is the impeccable service from all the staff the restaurant was full but they have a knack of making you feel you are the only table from your ice bucket away from table so you are served your wine in timely top ups ....All staff have different personalities but equally memorably fabulous so I will not name anyone singularly but if I were forced to complain it would be making the cocktails far toooooo fantastic!!!!!! Try the lemoncello one and fail having another Looking forward to seeing you all next time (If they are looking at this review thank you to the table that sent us over two glasses of champagne ) THANKS to all for making our evening special

Bacchus is one of the nicest restaurants in Prestbury Village. Mike and his team ensure you are looked after from the moment you walk through the door. Excellent food and service, nothing is to much trouble! Vegetarian selection is fantastic along with the wine selection Definitely worth a visit

Ate at Bacchus this evening. What a lovely restaurant. Makes such a change from small plate menus. Service was exemplary, loved tablecloths and napkins, amuse boche really added to the experience. Food was great. Lovely wait staff. Felt as though we had returned to a more classical traditional restaurant that we have missed greatly without realising. Thank you Bacchus we had a fab evening.
