Delicious fresh food as a "light bite" menu. We had homemade parsnip and apple soup with wholemeal bread. Goats cheese and beetroot quiche with potato salad and side salad. Pot of tea for two. Good value and fresh.

As the Hall didn't open until 11am when we arrived it was time for coffee break and a shared cake. We sat at a table in the garden relaxing and then it was lunchtime! So, back to this cafe for sandwiches for lunch. Later we did go around the house and gardens but there has to be priorities!

Hubby and me enjoyed a pleasant visit to Little Moreton Hall on a recent Friday afternoon in June (see separate review). Mrs. Dale's Pantry had closed at 2 p.m. so we went for a mid-afternoon snack at The Little Tea-Room next door. There was a variety of tempting cakes on the counter but Hubby chose a "little cream tea" which consisted of a sweet scone accompanied by a small pot of Cornish clotted cream and a tiny jar of strawberry jam. A pot of tea was included in the price of £5.95. I opted for a savoury cheese scone and butter (£1.95) and a pot of tea (£2.45). The total bill came to £10.95 which Hubby was able to pay by card (contactless). We took our tray of treats outiside and sat at one of the tables in the Orchard Garden, making the most of the glorious Cheshire sunshine. Both the sweet and savoury scones were fresh and filling. The resident ducks were disappointed to find there were no leftover crumbs!

we have gone to Miller and carter for many years as we live just five minutes away and always had lovely meals , before the recent refurbishment we went for a family lunch and it was terrible ...the food took forevér to arrive and when it did it was only just warm and two of the orders where wrong which ment some of the family had to wait and then eat when we where finished our meal...very disappointing for al the family .

Large party , food slow to come out and one meal missing but they did send the children's food out first because they were getting hungry. Carvery luke warm but ok , what saved the night was the lovely staff , a credit to the pub , nothing was too much trouble, I only caught 1 name , lucas and he was very good, very helpful , another young lad was lovely too ( said he shouldn't have been working that night but they were busy)

Very Disappointing, the fungi starter not that pleasant - toast went soggy with the over garlic mushrooms. Mains:- Saffron risotto with ossobuco- the risotto was overpowered by the saffron and the ossobuco accompanied with it was quite a bland sauce. There early bird menu is now NOT available and has been replaced by there 'Christmas Special Menu' at £25 for 2 courses & a £10 charge for 175mil house wine . If you had booked a table when the early bird menu was advertised, I'm sorry but they make no exceptions, you will have to have the more expensive Christmas menu .
