Always a lovely pub to go to, right next to Dunham Massey back entrance Didnt have food this time but its always very tasty

This place is a dump. It’s dated, dirty and scruffy. Needs a massive revamp and the residents of Knutsford must be ashamed. Gave it two stars because it has a Greggs otherwise it would have been one.

A gem of a place, we stopped here after a long flight, arrived later than planned and they had kept the kitchen open in case we needed anything, A warm welcome a good pint comfortable nights sleep, and a hearty breakfast.

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited. The personnel can’t do enough for you especially Pan and Angie. We have been here 3 months in a row and each time Pam and Angie have been superb ambassadors for the hotel

Sun 1pm 9th Feb 2025 I attended with my partner advanced booking with a 25% off voucher.. We ordered the roast dinner x 2.. On arrival we both commented on the meal not being piping hot.. One side of the plate was warn the other cold and only the middle was just hot... My partner asked a waitress to microwave it... I elected to say nothing as I've heard stories of kitchen staff interfering with a complaining customers meal(no evidence at this location).. On paying for our meal the staff member inquired if all was OK... I explained the above she was apologetic and reduced the bill to £15.50(should have been £30)...she also said you can keep the 25% voucher for another time... We declined this saying we would not be returning.. So a disappointing Sunday meal out.. A meal should never leave a kitchen less than piping hot unless it's a salad. Nice charecter decor though... 2* only.

Good service, clean environment but £4.40 for a coffee, what the heck!

Shocking. An embarrassment to the greggs name. Went in for warm food as working outside in - 5 Jan 2025. Ordered a stake bake and sausages roll. Food was cold, total came to £5, asked the man who was serving if they had any hot food or any fresh made items on my order. I was told to use the microwave in the cafe area of the service. Asked for a refund. The man couldn't do it, needed help from female worker who only refund me £4.30. Honestly never been more disappointed. I 2025 going into a food shop to buy hot food and being told to use a microwave all for greggs to steal 70p off me. Joke. Do not use. Rude robbing staff!!!

Quiche was very well done like rubber chips very dry won't come here again oh and pot of tea piss weak terrible I've had there roast dinners in the past which was lovely but the rest of it is terrible and don't like the chef he as no gloves on handling food. Can't stand chips coming out in plant pot

The parking is listed as "free on-site parking" on their website. Despite that we were fined £100 for not paying for the car park (pictures were attached of our car that I assume must have been taken by the hotel staff given it's an unmanned car park in a rural area). The menu was very limited and the atmosphere was terrible. Given this seems to be a running theme in recent reviews I'd avoid staying/eating here

Hard working polite staff but food was prettY awful. Had venison pie which I couldn’t finish. Red cabbage was disgusting. Due to the slow queue chips and cabbage were cold by time I sat down. Didn’t have a drink. Cakes looked unappetising.

The flat white coffee and cherry scone were both excellent. Unfortunately I was disappointed with lunch again. On a previous visit I had ordered a cheese ciabatta which arrived with no cheese. ‘The chef forgot.’ On this occasion I again ordered a cheese ciabatta, and again had to organise a search for cheese. It also arrived with crisps not chipped potatoes, as I had ordered. Quote ‘I didn’t read it.’ The correct order was returned (including a few stray crisps) but the search for cheese proved almost fruitless. I think I might have identified a bare scraping. I didn’t send it back again. Other than this the staff were very pleasant, barring a sarcastic remark from one of the members of male* staff. My take away lemon pastry was very pleasant. Thank you. *I did not discuss ‘their’ preferred personal pronouns.

Just the most disgusting chicken fillet burger I've ever eaten! Chicken was dry to the point of being unpalatable and the half jar of mayonnaise that had been poured all over it, did nothing to disguise it. Literally disgusting. And it's all well and good replying to reviews but if you don't improve anything, it's totally pointless!

Just want to say this was a great services we broke down there and was stuck there for two days hamza who worked in the WHSmith was so great I phoned asking for help to see if my car was there he was working on own but still manage to try to help also the guy who was working in the travel Lodge was lovely without these two are exsperince would of been even worse so thanks
