Great evening, last minute booking. George and Lucy were great hosts. Will definitely return. Food was good. Service was also great.

I went to the pub for lunch today, and it was surprisingly empty for a Sunday, when you'd usually expect it to be bustling with people enjoying their Sunday roast. I was hoping to grab a sandwich or a Ploughman's, but the menu was really disappointing. It had "Cafe to Go" or something similar on it, which felt out of place for a pub, and there wasn’t much to choose from. I decided to try the special—salt and pepper calamari. I’ve had calamari here before, back when Andy ran the place, and it was fantastic then. But today, it looked like someone just dumped food from an air fryer onto a plate, without even bothering to add a garnish of chili or anything. My partner had a burger that didn’t look appetizing at all. For the same price, we could have gotten a much better-looking beef burger just down the road. They really need to revamp the menu and bring in a better chef. It’s a shame to see the pub not living up to what it used to be. They should also fix up the conservatory while they're at it. They're really losing out by not hosting the events that used to draw people in. I remember seeing clubs and groups meeting there regularly, but now they've moved on to other places.

The 2 young girls really looked after us and made us all feel really welcome shame the menu has changed lovely pub had so much going for it.

Even 1* is generous! We should have known it wasn’t a good sign when we pulled into the car park and we were the only car at lunchtime on a Sunday. We were hoping for a cosy pub with a Sunday roast after a walk with our friends: The food was beyond shocking with and obviously had been frozen and warmed up… waited ages for it to arrive and were so disappointed. Absolutely extortionate prices for a frozen Chicago town pizza and birdseye frozen veg which was still frozen. Avoid at all costs!!!

What was a pleasant restaurant has been turned into a cafe! That is being kind as the choice of food is so basic you can better in a beachside cafe. Have eaten there previously & had no complaints but was shocked to see the way the menu has been change (downgraded). The fact that we were the only ones in supported this & we didn’t stay.

The food really isn’t great unfortunately. Such a shame as you expect decent country pub food here given its location, but unfortunately not very good. It says a lot when the kids wouldn’t even eat the chicken nuggets served as part of a kids menu. The roast dinners were ok, cauliflower was rock hard and the roast potatoes were saturated in fat and turned to mush when putting your fork in. I noted the reviews after we booked and thought we’d chance it. Not great until they produce better food. Service was quite slow and we had to ask for the bill twice and even had to get up again and ask to pay. What was worse, there was us and only one other table in the restaurant. I mean, that says it all really on a Sunday that it was empty. Such a shame, this really could be a gold mine.

Proper pub with freshly cooked food. Great service and great music. Really helpful when it came to gluten free options and good choices of food. Mash was amazing

We went to celebrate 2 birthdays, mine was actually on the day. The service was terrible even though it wasn't busy. We were served a dish of vegetables 20 mins before meal arrived!! We had to wait for at least 20mins before they came to take drinks order. Then another 10 mins before it came. Then waited again before they came to take meal order (20 mins) and then a further wait before meal eventually arrived.

Went with wife and son today for Sunday roast. No mint sauce for the lamb, lamb was fatty and inedible. Roast beef was like shoe leather. Chicken leg was dry as a stick. Roast potatoes had been reheated to the point of just skin with no filling. Vegetables nearly raw. Absolutely disgusting.

Called in for Sunday roast nice pleasant atmosphere.Service as always was good Maria assisted by Olivia, Joshua and Lucy . Always provide a pleasant greeting and a smile. we both had the roast beef ,just enough food not over facing.Cant fault anything always made to feel welcoming perfect Sunday afternoon.

Arrived & parked up in a corner. Hubby went in to fi d out if where we'd parked was okay. He came back beaming saying how nice & friendly the 2 ladies were about where we had parked. Anywhere was fine. We had booked a table for 29.00 with our dog. Went in much earlier, dog area was Anywhere without carpet. That was huge. They also had a child playroom. Even though early had a lovely meal. Hot & fresh just as I like. Every member of staff came & met our fur baby. I highly recommend this place. Great food, service & value.

Sunday menu is very very limited. The place was empty with no atmosphere and music was very loud with very questionable song choices for Sunday dining. We sat and ordered out of the 6 or so choices to be told a few minutes later they had no veggie option in as no delivery had come. Lovely inside but wouldn't revisit due to above issues. Toilets are also an issue as very badly fitted out when trying to open the door as they have not left enough room to move around it and actually get inside. 2 stars given as the lady who served us went out of her way to try and help and was extremely accommodating and lovely, otherwise it would be 1 star. We had to leave and find somewhere else to dine.

We've been regulars at the Kilton Arms for a few years now. Karina has just taken over running the pub only five weeks ago, and I'm happy to say she is providing the same high quality service & food as the previous owners. Lunchtime food today was excellent, with Karina supplying a sandwich for my wife which was not on the menu. A big thank you for that.

We went for breakfast after seeing a Facebook post. We ordered the traditional breakfast - the food was excellent and cooked to order. You also get a drink included in the price. Olivia and Karina were fantastic hosts and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try the evening menu. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely beer 🍻 Had a Sunday dinner , all food was coated in a strange oil and it all tasted the same ? Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back Was there last summer, different menu and great food . The place had an energy which has now gone.

We called in for lunch without a booking which was not a problem. The interior is very rustic and light, clean and well proportioned. The menu had a number of specials available but we picked the Scami with chips and mushy peas. This proven to be an excellent choice with the home made chips being especially tasty. Service was escellent and the food was presented to the table very quickly.

Amazing food and service. Definitely coming back. Olivia was just wonderful and tended to us perfectly.

Pleasant lunch roast beef , few drinks looked at the sweet menu tempted but was actually full after the meal . Enough staff so didn’t have to wait for service so thanks Olivia Maria Josh Maisie and Lucy.

Been here many times but sadly won't be returning. Change to the menu. When we asked was told its always been like that. ( we go very frequently and not seen that) I asked for the veggie option from the poor menu was told they had none asked if they had cauliflower cheese....Nope. hence to say we up and left. And won't be returning

We have been going to The Kilton for many years.and have never had a poor meal there,until last Friday.Of the six meals we ordered none were cooked properly,with hard chips and mediocre other items ,certainly not up to the previous standards that we had become used to Futhermore my husband was violently sick several times,24 hours later,and the only meal he had differently to me and our friends,who stayed well, was the chicken at The Kilton,which makes us very suspicious of the kitchen standards there.The waitresses there were friendly and helpful but The Kilton food offering must be seriously revisited as it's now limited ,expensive and very offputting

After a few hours at tatton Park with the young grandchild we called in for a quick tea come dinner. Got a table straight away as it was only about 6pm. Nothing fancy for tea. We all had scampi and chips I had crab cakes...

This is our local pub and we are regular visitors and diners. Olivia and her team run a tight ship. They are very very welcoming and provide good customer service. The beer is always good and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

I visited the Kilton today, very very under staffed for a bank holiday. 2 of the girls outside were very polite but didn’t know what they were doing missing food off our order, I know it’s a bank holiday but very understaffed. A young man then came out to help was very efficient and helpful can’t thank him enough. Staff need training more when being outside hope this can be resolved because everything elts was amazing!!!

We were immediately made welcome by Freddie, who showed us to our table in this pleasant, airy, but very characterful old inn. Service, headed by Olivia, was polite and easy-going, The food was all very tasty, and Chef Wayne's steaks perfectly cooked. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had Christmas Day lunch at the Kilton Inn; excellent meal which was delicious and hot. Our waitress, Ellie, was very pleasant and always kept her eye on her tables so no-one was left unattended. The atmosphere was relaxing and I didn't feel that I was being hurried out despite us going back into lockdown a few hours later!

Food is good, solid pub fare with a great menu selection. However what makes this place is the staff. Andy - the Manager - has always been an asset but on our most recent visits also has a brilliant team around him. Ellie was superb tonight as were all the guys. Friendly, happy and very attentive they made the experience feel safe and personal. Great to see the Kilton back to where we knew it a few years ago.

My invalid wife & I recently visited the inn and found the inviting atmosphere very pleasant. The staff were extremely helpful. There was a varied extensive menu that would satisfy most tastes. Every effort was made to ensure public safety during the pandemic. In summer it would be possible to sit outside in the Cheshire countryside. We have booked a table for a second visit next weekend and it will be a must on our list of Cheshire eateries.

Despite the pandemic it was still nice to eat out and be greeted by friendly staff.Tables were adequately spaced, nice and Christmassy, food was delicious as was the bottle of Rioja. Nothing was too much bother for the young friendly staff. Will be visiting again.

Ellie was amazing couldnt do enough for us even know the food was over an hour late she still made the trip very welcoming.

Pre-Christmas visit. We chose the Festive menu (Garlic Mushroom starter, Turkey/Beetroot Wellington mains, Christmas Pudding/Cheesecake desserts) all of which were delicious and served in generous portions. Friendly and attentive Staff. One slight criticism - Background music could have been more Seasonal - but this did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our visit.

We have visited this restaurant many times and love the atmosphere and the food. To enjoy a meal out after yet another month of lockdown was great. We were served by a bubbly Olivia who did a great job of looking after us as did the rest of the team ... Thankyou. We are sure to go back soon .

We visited here today with our newborn baby as I won a competition via Facebook. We ate from the festive menu, both having soup to start, Turkey and Cod for mains and Chocolate torte and Christmas Pudding for desserts. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the service was great. I used the baby change facilities which were very clean and all staff were following strict covid guidelines so we felt super safe. Thanks for a lovely afternoon and what a fabulous treat to have won it! We offered to pay for our drinks but this was declined - how lovely! We will definitely be back in the future. We visited the Kilton after a day out, and not only was the food great, but our servers Ellie and Amber did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed! We'll definitely want to come back.

Today I visited the Kilton Inn for lunch. From the moment we were met at the door we were made to feel welcome. The friendly staff was so lovely. For the first time in many months, it felt wonderful to get out and do something sociable and normal.The restaurant was warm and inviting and the layout of the tables meant that we were far enough apart to make you feel safe, yet gave a warm and cosy vibe. The menu was varied and also had a great seasonal choice too. Our server, a young lady called Amelia couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent. Piping hot and very tasty, and the dessert was just as good. The restaurant was immaculately clean as was the ladies restroom. I could not recommend the Kilton Inn highly enough. We will definitely be going back very soon.

Where to start?Food Absolutely amazing...I had the Sunday roast ( turkey ).Potatoes and vegetables were fresh and homemade, meat was thick slices of real meat not processed rubbish! Light as a feather yorkshire pudding ....delicious! My husband had soup and mussels...again freshly cooked and very tasty. We both had desserts...again fresh and beautifully presented. Service Excellent service by staff who are very friendly, polite and attentive without being too in your face! I especially liked the fact that all the staff were...well presentable....clean and well groomed! Makes a big difference to me .The Kilton InnGreat Covid safety awareness in place. Beautiful decor. Absolutely spotless. A great warm and cosy atmosphere. We can't wait to visit again and would recommend it without hesitation! Thank you !

Always love the kilton and eat there most weeks. Worrying tonight to see groups being allowed in from different households, no request to do track and trace and don’t seem to be enforcing covid rules. Made me feel a little unsafe and frustrating to hear a table bragging how nobody checked and they’d broke the rules!

We went to The Kilton yesterday evening to celebrate our Son’s 10th birthday. The staff were fantastic so a big thank you to you all - in particular Ellie, Lauren, Jade and Amelie who were very attentive and looked after our table very well. They had taken the time to decorate the table and the area around it with banners and balloons and made such a real effort to make our Son feel special - even refusing to charge us for his dessert as it was his birthday! The food was fantastic and in particular my fillet steak was delicious. A big thumbs up to the chefs Liam, Wayne & Marc! We all enjoyed our meal and even during these strange times we felt totally safe and could see that the staff were following all the necessary advice and guidelines. We will certainly return and would highly recommend The Kilton !

I received a warm welcome from Ellie who showed me to the perfect table for a lone diner. Not too far away from the action but not awkwardly close either. Phew! My order was taken with the perfect timing and with a pleasant chat. The pie prepared by chef Tom was delicious. The pastry of was not too dry and was rich and tasty. A good hearty meal. I was even offered more gravy which was delicious. I saw how Ellie went out of her way to cheer the customers and I’m not the only table that wanted to write a glowing review. Having said that all of the staff were very pleasant and professional. It’s nice to be able to eat out in covid times and feel safe with the standards of cleanliness too. Thanks for a great meal and service.

Back again at the most welcoming pub, me and my husband came in a couple of days ago. He had the Cod and Chips which he said was absolutely incredible and I had one on the specials Salmon Salad which was unbelievably tasty and brilliant portion size. Would like to thank the chefs for the delicious food and Freddie and Jess for the excellent customer service they were OUTSTANDING. Thank you everyone we will be back soon.

Popped for a meal with a friend and was so happy to see a menu for vegans! Had the lentil cottage pie and it was delicious. Also had wonderful service and will particularly mention Beth who served us, really friendly & professional and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Will be back

Stopped for Sunday lunch, I can recommend the trio of meats Sunday meal, it was excellent. Wife had a gluten free meat free burger which she says was delicious, ideal for vegetarians. Staff very helpful, nice atmosphere in pub, we'll definitely stop for lunch again.

The started took 45 minutes to come to the table, then the main took half an hour and was cold when arrived. The puddings was burnt and hard. It was very expensive for what you got. Would not recommend going here. Terrible night.

We have not been out socially many times since lock down, but called in for lunch and the atmosphere and welcome from the staff was really nice.The food was excellent and good value for money.Really enjoyed it, felt really safe with all of their Covid precautions and will definitely go again.

Visited here on Saturday for tea. We had reserved a table but it was a lovely day so we swapped to outdoors. Great menu choice. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Our food was piping hot and very tasty. Couldn’t fault anything about it. Will definitely visit again

Took a break from driving and had late lunch here. Had booked on the web-site, we were early, but let in with no issues. Pub is very well Covid aware with screens, sanitiser, one way system etc. Menu was good and prices reasonable. Service was quick and polite though the pub was almost empty.Sea bass was excellent as was the steak.I would recommend the pub and food.

We came here in our motorhome which we was allowed to stop overnight in their car park. The food and drinks could not be faulted and served very fast using their app which is brilliant. The only problem we had was getting in and out of the car park as our motorhome is 3.2 metres high which was slightly damaged by the overhanging branches we would be very happy to return as we felt very welcomed and safe

Have been visiting on a Sunday for the last few weeks to enjoy the sunshine and eat outside. Every meal has been delicious and I've discovered their side order of Yorkshire pudding with beef - absolutely delicious! Staff are really friendly too!

I booked a table for food and drink on the website very easily. When we arrived we felt very safe as all precautions were taken. Tables were socialy distanced and staff were wearing visas. We received our drinks and food quickly and it was excellent. We will be visiting again.

service slow although restaurant pretty empty. The soup starter' winter veg'in the middle of summer was tasteless. ordered roast beef served pink with horseradish sauce. It wasn't pink it was overcooked served with frozen roast potatoes. No horseradish sauce. I asked for pigs in blankets which were undercooked. I did request more gravy which the waitress was happy to get me. I complained about the beef and to be fair the waitress was really apologetic and brought me 2 more slices which were no better. My husband ordered the Gourmet burger. Said it tasted like dog food but refused to complain as he was too embarrassed. Unfortunately he suffered stomach ache all the next day. The only good thing I can say about our experience is that the waitress was lovely and extremely helpful and apologetic and did knock the roast beef meal off our bill. Unfortunately will not be visiting again. Shame as the interior of the pub is lovely.

Kilton Inn, Came to the Kilton last night for some tea after a long journey. Was served by a younger girl at around 8:50 and a young gentleman who I think is the manager. Both of these offered great service including the other staff that brought our drinks at a quick pace. Overall enjoyed this experience and will be returning.

Not impressed with our meals one Sunday roast we sent back as it was cold,my mum's roast beef dinner,the beef was that tough she could not eat it even though they brought her a steak knife. When mine came I also could not eat my roast beef all i can say it was like shoe leather.The roast potatoes where not fresh they where warmed up not nice at all over all we will not be coming again a long way to go for not a nice dinner.

Heading home on the M6, we located The Kilton Inn. Lovely service and a good menu with tasty dishes served. Family atmosphere.

Busy little place staff were busy but coped with all demands from all tables, food hot and fresh nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent 3 courses was just a step too far

Stopped here on a pre-arranged break while on to way to Salford with Crawley Town FC Supporters Club..The bar staff coped extremely well with the influx of 100 + people,and there was a fair range of beers available. As far as I was able to ascertain the buffet laid on was reasonable unfortunately I was one of the last in the queue and the pickings were slim,

We were seated next to a front door even tho there were plenty of other tables near warmth! Every time the door opened you were hit with a winter breeze! No real fire on even tho all the kindling was there obviously nobody could be bothered! Ordered two adult sunday dinners one trio one Lamb shank, the trio was overcooked and could tell veg was frozen and watery!Lamb shank was not a shank just a tough fatty lump! Kids food was disgusting and poor cheap quality! Burger was rancid and fish fingers fried enough to use as bricks!Then to top it off we were over charged twice on the bill and made to feel petty for bringing it up! Manager was more interested in is phone than service

First time we have been to this pub and it was a pleasant surprise, felt warm and friendly on entering and greeted by smiling staff, no problem getting a table and served quickly, my husband ordered pork belly roast dinner and I had 3 meat roast dinner, food was well presented and delicious, we both had desserts and I would definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding, we will certainly be going back again, thanks to all.

I stayed at the Premier Inn attached to The Kilton Inn last night with my colleague, we had dinner in the pub and it was very nice. He had the onion rings to start and the fish and chips, I had the vegan kofta skewers to start followed by the bean burger. Both meals were of a good quality and came with prompt service.I had breakfast in the morning but the vegan options weren’t that impressive unfortunately. Only soy milk as an alternative to cow’s milk (awful in tea by the way) and no non-dairy yoghurts as an alternative to any of the yoghurts on offer. I opted for the mushrooms, hash browns and the saddest veggie sausages I’ve ever experienced. Could do better....!
