Another excellent lunch at the Field Kitchen. So nice to have the seasonal vegetables served with flair and taste. Accommodates both vegetarians and meat eaters.

Every Sunday during British Summertime, different charities and local good causes take the Hall, (the Old Village School Building in the triangle of roads) to raise funds and enormous praise for the fabulous homemade cooking! Although the title is ‘Teas’, I find I can put together a nice light lunch of sandwiches and quiche, and then I can’t resist staying on for the Tea!! Great fun, great causes, great prices and absolutely fantastic baking, I recommend you make it a regular event because it’s something special.

As if the magnificent surroundings and resplendent building are not enough, the quality of home made delights on offer, make this 'up there' with some of the best tea rooms I've visited. Home made bread, quiches, cakes... hot drinks served in China ware - utterly delicious! You are transported back to another era, a taste of the finer things. Enjoy!

The steak pie was packed with meat. 😀 The Chicken and leek was enormous, but had not been heated enough. Bit disappointed seasonal veg was peas. But we will try again. We tried again. I am sure we are not the only people disappointed that the "buttered veg" was just shredded cabbage lightly cooked. Can I suggest if you are going so far off menu to tell people when they order.

Went to the cottons for breakfast with my family and the service was quality 👌 garth who I think was the manager was very attentive and george went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything. The food was really good and if you have a sweet tooth I would recommend the waffles and bacon 😋. Already planing our next visit.

A really great place to stay. The staff are fantastic professional and will help you in anyway that they can. The only downside is the lack of staff and the food could be better. Sometimes the service is left lacking because of staff shortages and the chef is either really good or bland. It is a great place to sit for a few days and the beer is great as is the variety on tap and in bottles.

Visited The Windmill Pub on Mon 14th April with my mum, from the minute we walked in we were warmly greeted by Kelly. We were very impressed with the attentiveness of Kelly and the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and plentiful and reasonably priced. Kelly even topped up our teapot free of charge! I would highly recommend this fantastic pub, you wont be dissappointed. I will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the delicious menu. Keep up the excellent work Kelly and team. Kind regards Karen Cannon (and Mum)
