The best restaurants serving British food in High Legh Cheshire East North West

Visited with friends and didn’t know what to expect as none of us had been before. Needn’t have worried as venue was perfect and staff very attentive. The vegetarian menu was interesting and well executed by the chef, to make the humble carrot, cabbage etc very tasty. Even us carnivores were well impressed! We will be back 😋😋

We were looking forward to this, but what a let down, it was freezing inside, bar staff rolled her eyes when we asked for a drink, the whole place needs a deep clean, toilets were filthy! Never again

As if the magnificent surroundings and resplendent building are not enough, the quality of home made delights on offer, make this 'up there' with some of the best tea rooms I've visited. Home made bread, quiches, cakes... hot drinks served in China ware - utterly delicious! You are transported back to another era, a taste of the finer things. Enjoy!

Stopped here on the way to the airport and had a great meal. Service and value for money is excellent. Would definitely recommend

As a Conference centre was an excellent location. Serve and food excellent. Spa e to learn was great and excellent parking space.

La noche que estuvimos allí, no estaba lleno, pero aún así tuvimos que esperar 50 minutos para la entrega de nuestra entrada (no eran platos complicados). Maître es muy buena, pero el resto del personal se necesita un poco de entrenamiento en finura. La comida estaba bien. No te molestes en vestirse como había varias personas en el restaurante en pantalones cortos y camisetas

Pretty down to earth golfers bar with bar staples such as fish and chips, etc. Lots of people drinking lager in shorts

Went with my mum today after a walk beer garden good food basic not worth the price £11 for a lil prawn buttie with about 6 chips and £17 for a basic burger and a few chips food quality doesn't match the prices nice pub just don't get the food

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited. The personnel can’t do enough for you especially Pan and Angie. We have been here 3 months in a row and each time Pam and Angie have been superb ambassadors for the hotel

I am local, & used to be a regular. However the good, service & the cleanliness has deteriorated over the the past year. It was 5.50 on a Friday, there was an hour wait for food. So just had drinks in the beer garden, unfortunately the beer glasses were not clean . Left after 2 drinks. It’s sad for us as we have visited this pub for the past 25 years, but it’s just not the same!

Go at least weekly staff always professional and friendly until today ( Good Friday) staff member not seen before very belligerent and rude should not been at front end of the public. Asked for glasses to dissolve medication and required. A medium size glass half way through my explanation she interrupted me and told to get my own from where the tap water dispenser is. When I again tried to explain she tutted and sighed walking off coming back with 2 pint size glasses before walking away. I asked one of the regular staff for the required size which was no problem at all. When my husband tried to order onion rings instead of chips she told us we couldn’t do this, despite usually doing so on a regular basis. She said that the restaurant doesn’t offer this so I asked if she could check receiving another tutt and sign. She came back to say we could but didn’t offer any apology

Hard working polite staff but food was prettY awful. Had venison pie which I couldn’t finish. Red cabbage was disgusting. Due to the slow queue chips and cabbage were cold by time I sat down. Didn’t have a drink. Cakes looked unappetising.
