Lovely little spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch and the lemon meringue cake was so light and moist! Will definitely visit again

Very quiet on a Thursday at 7.30pm, only 2 other tables ( of 4 and 2 people). The food was very fresh and hot, friendly female owner. Very good value for money on the Groupon voucher for a three course meal. My only negative was that on my calabrese pizza there was excessive diced onion which was only just cooked and we weren't offered parmazan for our starters or pasta.

Good little spot, nice cafe with a good selection of fresh hot sandwiches. Clean and tidy with quirky decor, staff friendly. Will definitely recommend this.

We had our daughters wedding at The Hawthorns on Friday 28 June and what a brilliant day it was from beginning to end. Such a lovely relaxed venue with fabulous friendly staff, who made sure the event ran smoothly throughout the day, from straightening ties before the wedding procession entered and calming nerves with their reassuring words to being on hand throughout the reception and evening do. The roast beef wedding breakfast was delicious 👌🏼 followed by handmade stone baked pizzas 🍕 from their own silver bullet pizza van in the courtyard for the evening - again delicious 😋 with any left over pizzas boxed for the guests to take home. The venue accommodated our every request - nothing seemed too much trouble. The lady in charge was absolutely amazing, easy to talk to and made me feel completely chilled and at ease and her husband was the chef that created the lovely reception meal. Thank you for making my daughter’s wedding a fantastic day full of memories that the newly married Mr and Mrs Middleton and all their guests will treasure. I would certainly recommend this venue its friendly and accommodating, competitively priced, situated in beautiful surroundings perfect for photos and their wedding organiser Kirsty was easy to talk to, helpful and professional from the day we visited one of their open days several months ago to the actual wedding day. I can’t thank you all enough for making it such a fantastic day for us.

Takeaway that never disappoints with its large menu. Great value and happy to recommend too. The only downside is that they only take cash and do not deliver.

On a roll! New Years resolution to write reviews on places we visit so I know which ones to go back to. We went out for our first day out for what seems like years and had a great day finishing off here before catching the train home. Grabbed a bowl of chips and a pizza and had a couple cask beers and glass of wine. Clean and tidy place with the usual run of the mill cask beer and wine but served well enough and a lovely cosy room to the front. Worth a stop whilst waiting for the train.

Taste - 4 Service - 1 Order time - 2 Cleanliness -2 The shop is authentic, taste is also good for dosa and idli but not that good for curry's. Tables were sticky and not cleaned properly. Only one poor waiter to serve 5 heavy tables. She forgot what I ordered even after writing in note, possibly due to only server. Need to maintain more staff during weekends.

Best homemade pasties I’ve ever had. great spot for a quick lunch + the staff are always polite and friendly Paul beats Greggs, Carrs and Greenhalghs!

Picked out as being near at the time . Parking was initially an issue but then found a car park to the rear. Lovely owner and great food inc the coffee that I can be fussy about!

First time I’ve done a review for this store even though I’ve been several times. Can never fault the food in Greggs, it’s always tasty and great value for money. We come here quite regularly and the state of the floor and the tables in the seating is disgusting 90% of the time. I appreciate there’s usually only 2 counter staff and it’s usually busy so they’re needed behind the counter, but they should either plan their day better or have an additional person on during the busy period. You shouldn’t have to bully the staff into cleaning up. On this occasion we had 2 hot southern fried chicken baguettes in our order and we had to go on a treasure hunt to find the chicken.

Never again !!! Ordered one medium box with added drink and side. Box mainly rice . Ordered a topper box for a small appetite. 4 pieces of chicken. Only one third full of a very small pot. The advertised picture shows a pot full to the top. False advertising. Chicken also felt like reconstituted meat.
