Food is excellent. Ordered by phone. Was ready and waiting when I got there. Staff very friendly. Got a free portion of prawn crackers as well.

Best Chinese in Horwich, super quick with orders and delicious hot food.

Told the meal would be ready for 10 to. Turned up at 12 minutes to. No one came for 8 minutes to. Unfortunately, cash only. 4 minutes to get cash and return. The plastic bag that was shown to me at 17.04 was not warm, neither was the metallic tray. Most take aways put the food under warm lights. Not here.

We ate here on Monday night and since Tuesday we have both been really ill with a bad stomach! It's now Thursday and we are still not right. Never eating here again!

I previously gave Golden Harvest a 5 star review, I haven’t been since last year but it used to be hands down the best Chinese takeaway in Horwich. We’ve just ordered a load of food tonight and it was one of the worst we’ve ever had, the food was bland, chicken undercooked. Even the cashews were black, nothing tasted fresh. I’m not sure if it’s changed hands or has new chefs but something has changed, we definitely won’t be going back.

I’ve had golden harvest weekly for as long as I can remember. It’s always an amazing meal, the staff are lovely and it’s reasonably priced.

Always get an amazing meal from these guys! Dishes are always fresh and ultra tasty! So nice and lovely staff too! X

As there is not too much choice for Chinese takeaways in Horwich, opted for Golden Harvest after seeing they had the best Google reviews. Either the restaurant were having a bad day, all the reviews are fake or people in Horwich just aren't accustomed to good Chinese food. Spring rolls were ok, bit greasy. Salt and pepper ribs again were OK, but I'm personally not a lover of ribs when they are battered. As for the two mains, tasteless and bland. You generally expect a Szechuan to have a bit more of a kick. But yes the prawn crackers were great. 👍

Everybody has their individual favourite but the Golden Harvest is superb across the board - a solid 10 (with fried rice) out of 10.

Best Chinese in Horwich and possibly Bolton Hot and Sour soup is wonderful.

I ordered the deep fried combination for £6 and expected more than what I got to be honest.

Golden Harvest is reasonably price and always amazing. This has become my local Chinese takeaway as the friendly staff make me feel welcome and the food is consistently good!

The best Chinese for miles! Excellent Chinese food which speaks for itself. Hats off to the chefs. Happy to collect food when it’s this good! Also very nice owner who is always very welcoming.

Since moving back to my roots 2 yrs ago we have been Golden Harvest at least 12 times. Not on any occasion have we have been disappointed. They been in buisness well over 25 yrs so they obviously are doing something right. Would not go anywhere else if having a takeway. Def 5 star from me. oh and very polite and friendly. Thankyou Golden Harvest theu obvioysly are pleasing the customers

Golden Harvest has been In Horwich a long time with the same owner. Great Chinese takeaway. Delicious food which is consistently good, been loads of times. Very friendly staff. They don’t offer a delivery service though, isn’t a problem for me as I’m a only few minutes drive away.

Traditional Chinese takeaway with a massive range of menu choices, all excellently cooked. They don't deliver so the best option is to phone an order in then pick up at the time they advise you. Usually 15 to 20 minutes, but can be up to an hour at really busy times.

I've been to this takeaway many times over the last 25-30 years and the food is consistently amazing, it's restaurant quality. I now live 30 minutes drive away and still get takeaways from here. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Best Chinese in horwich. Cash only and collection only that is something to consider but it is honestly worth it, everything I've ever had from here I have liked and if the thought of going here pops in my head, there's not much really I can do to stop myself from going

new to the area i decided on trying golden harvest, keeping it short the staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean, food was piping hot, fresh and plentyful! will be returning again soon and would highly recommend

Probably the best Chinese takes aways in the area, telephone orders can be made but it's pick up only. Which is not a bad thing if you want good food.

Just had sweet and sour chicken, one for myself and one for my daughter. One batch of fried chicken was very tough and the other quite soft. Perfumey taste to the sauce which didn't go down well with me. The rice was not good either. Prawn crackers pretty good, glad I ordered them or would be feeling fairly hungry by now😂Don't like to give a bad review but sometimes it's necessary.

Consistently good Chinese take-away food. Been going here for over 20yrs. Front of house staff very friendly and helpful. 5 star rating on Food Hygiene too.

It ok.. Good freindly service but lots of competition for Chinese food in the area. Not my favourite but it produces good quality food.
