Just finished our curries ordered on the app excellent food and service would definitely recommend

Ordered the set meal for 2 picked the chicken tikka masala& lamb rogan Josh. Absolutely delicious the sundries where nice and the popadoms where fresh. My husband and i really enjoyed our food. Would definitely recommend

Really enjoyed my meal here. The service was quick didn't take long for my order. The quality of the food was fantastic. I think I found my new Indian. Fairly reasonably priced. But don't mind paying good money for good food. Will return

Ordered a kebab and a couple other things for a Friday night treat. Kebab came in a box with no naam bread. It didn’t stipulate on menu that it wouldn’t come with a naam?!... I ordered a portion of popadoms.. they literally sent one. For £1. No mint/mango/onion dips. So 5 popadoms would have been £5?!.. i normally get these as a freebie when I order from curry houses?!… Food was really greasy, seeping though the packaging… This place used to be decent and had a good reputation … really gone down hill.. they’re now greedy, don’t care about presentation, their food quality or value for their customers. I called to complain and they literally didn’t care. I spent £25.70 and it looked like £5 worth of food if that. I won’t be using them again. Disgraceful

changed the delivery time by text.. not good for us as it was already over an hour for delivery... so in total approximately 1hr 35 mins... lamb biryani was very tough..and food was luke warm... have used several times before and will probs use again..but I will be more choosey with choices...

When the food eventually came it was almost inedible, really disappointing considering I used to enjoy this resteraunt.

First time ordering from here. The food we received was sub standard. The prawn puree should have salad & lemon with it but it was missing. The puree bread was soaked in fat. The garlic nan was a plain nan. The lamb tikka in the main course Samba was very chewy. The Samba didn't taste right. Everything was soaked in ghee. Even the mushroom rice was bland.

Again you have delivered great food early and very tasty five star 👍👍👍

Disappointed, second time I’ve ordered but will be the last was 35 minutes over latest given delivery time , half the order was cold and it was all tasteless, had to add salt and warm it up , not what i expect for £14 , nothing like the first order i had that was excellent

The order came 20 minutes after the estimated time and the food was cold. The meat tikka was so tough I couldn't cut it in half with a knife so definitely wouldn't order that again. I have ordered many times from Bengal cottage and left good reviews and recommended them but sorry not this time.

Really pleasant delivery man, came in to the building to find the elderly man's flat which a lot of drivers refuse to do. Very pleased overall with delivery and the food . Thankyou so much Bengal cottage.

Food is always delicious. Our go to takeaway. Order is always correct, on time and hot and we've never had a late delivery yet. Delivery guy is brilliant too always friendly.

Chicken tikka was very chewy and all poppadoms were crushed everything else was great

Lamb chops luke warm and poorly spiced... chicken chom chom over salted to the point of being inedible. Rotis doughy and wangy. The only thing enjoyable was the popadom. Not used Bengal cottage for a long while and will not again.

Was ok, usually we love the food from here but today it had leaked all over the bag, the popadoms were placed down the inside of the bag so were in bits. We also had a nann bread missing. Curry was lovely though.

Had a mix up with the delivery address but restaurant and driver were very apologetic and resolved the issue quickly after we called. The food was excellent as always, we normally order curries but tried the burgers this time and these were very good.

Bengal Cottage comes out on top when it comes to Indian takeaways in Horwich. We often get our take outs from here, you can sit in too, but you need to take your own alcohol as it's unlicensed. Menu is vast and caters for all tastes whether you like it spicy or mild. Staff are lovely and look after you whether they're on the phone or if you're in the restaurant. Give them a try.

Overall, would recommend the curries from Bengal Cottage. Quality food well cooked tender lean lamb in the curries. Good selection of dips with popadoms, tasty coconut rice. King prawn biryani was good, prawns in prawn Rohan Josh a little over cooked, but they are small compared to king prawns.

Incredible take away.. Cheapest around and always on time but mostly delivered really quick... Curries delicious, red tikka donnor meat to die for and the smash Burgers unbelievably tasty and spicy chips delicious.. Best take away in Horwich by far.

Food slightly late but that was probably to be expected as it’s Christmas Eve. Food absolutely outstanding. Best takeaway curry we’ve had in a long time. Plenty of meat in all dishes and everything was delicious. Will definitely be ordering from here again 👌🏻

Fancied trying a new takeaway and Bengal Cottage didn't disappoint. We ordered a couple of burgers (not something you normally order from an Indian restaurant) and they were lovely... Would definitely order from here again.

Food was delicious but had to be heated up, delivered on time, the only complaint was there wasn't any salad which I love with a curry, overall really enjoyed.

The stirfry kebab is amazing. Packed full of meat and big enough to share. Usually quite mild and tasty but on this occasion was extremely spicy.

Curry not as tasty as usual, it was like something was missing or it was rushed. This applied to the curry and bombay potatoes…

Ordered food from here and 2 hours later it still hadn't arrived. Called the take away and it was only just leaving. I requested a refund through the Just eat app and it was ignored. The food was rubbish and I was just offered a discount on my next meal, which is an empty gesture because I'm never going to be buying food from here again. Complete waste of time and money.

The first time we tried this place, it was really good the food was amazing and the same on delivery time as this time. Although tonight we got a really watered down curry and the naan bread was burnt. I understand it’s a Friday and it’s busy but we’re paying a price for a service. Will definitely try again as the potential for a really nice curry is there but if it happens again I’m afraid we will be looking elsewhere

The smash box from bengal cottage is absolutely AMAZING. Hands down the best takeaway in the area! So fresh and tasty! Cannot recommend a better munch box !

Lovely burgers and cheesy chips but you really need a customisation button for people who don't like salad...other than that fab...definately adding to regular takeout.

So far the best curry dishes we have had in Bolton. staff are very friendly and professional chefs that made food so tasty. Recommend to everyone.

It came cold and missing items it wasn’t edible all the poppodoms were crushed it was a disaster and I’ve always had pretty decent food before it’s put me off ordering again

We've never had a curry from here that we didn't like. Always delicious, would highly recommend them.

Ordered off just eat and the food came freezing, wrapped up and presented well although was still stone cold was only delivered up the road as I live in horwich the flavour was there tho, chips was hard over cooked and also cold, the sweet chilli chicken wings wasn’t sweet at all they blew my mouth off way too hot so wouldn’t want to try the peri peri ones. I will not be coming back here ever ever again!

Awful food. Cold and small portions of naan and chips. Curry was unbelievably greasy and lacked and real flavour. Had very average meals from this place before but tonight solidified our thoughts. Will not order again from here. We’d be surprised if they where in existence in a few months time.

My burger was squashed and food wasn't very warm

Everything was cold, greasy and overcooked. The Tikka Massala was really sweet and we have both had terrible indigestion since. The delivery driver was lovely though.

Ordered the bengal stir fry kebab… so much sauce on it it was almost drowning.. quality of meat poor.. tasted very similar to cheap frozen chicken & lamb. Sadly disappointed, however early delivery and usual friendly delivery driver

Just had a takeaway delivered from these. Normally they are good but very disappointed tonight. Soggy popadoms with watery chutney and no red onions. Tandoori chicken was only one small chicken leg and no vegetable curry sauce. I Don't normally complain but this is way below standard.
