We had experience with nice food and service is just very nice this restaurant is clean nice and very friendly, and we spent 3 hours with a lot of food

We are regular visitors at Spice Valley but hadn’t managed to attend one of their Bollywood nights until last week. The event was upstairs and we had a brilliant night. The food was served buffet style and it was delicious, hot and fresh and as good as the usual way they serve their dishes. We were served popadoms at the table which was good and drinks were flowing, the bar upstairs means no queues and the staff were great. They had 2 dancers that did 4 sets and we had a really fun evening with excellent food. Thanks to Sanjeev and the team for a great night.

Great food and friendly service, as usual. Took the kids along and they also enjoyed their curry and ice cream. You can see the chef making naan through the glass, which the children enjoyed. Would recommend for families.

stopped off here today while out on my motorbike ordered a cheese and ham toastie n chips food was great the lovely lady behind the bar couldnt do enough for us i recommend to come here for a light snack and a drink

I really can't not fault the staff and this place. She couldn't of done more to help us. Very friendly welcoming and polite. Also very patient with a couple of customers that didn't deserve the patience. This 5 star rating is based purely on the service.

It's by far and away the best Indian in or near Horwich. Excellent staff, great service and very good food. A sign of a good restaurant is one with an open kitchen.

Came with my friends on a recommendation as I am moving into the area and we were looking for a good Indian. Service was slow and food wasn't up to parr. We all were excited as we saw all the raving reviews. I think I will try another Indian. My advice to those reading is...go with caution...I had high expectations that is maybe why I am more disappointed at the outcome.

I absolutely love Indian food and specifically sought out the best Indian food in Bolton to enjoy with my new friends I met at my business event. Well I wasn’t disappointed. We had a large table for a family birthday and was really good service. They tend to sit you upstairs when it's large groups but there is a bar so it's still easy to get drinks. We all ordered different foods but everyone enjoyed their meals.

Visited with a friend recently and we had a lovely lunch. I rarely eat Indian food as on many occasions I’ve been put off by the food swimming in oil. This Wasn’t, it was tasty and flavoursome. The rice was beautiful too. I’ll definitely be returning 👍

I had an impromptu visit to Spice Valley with my girlfriend and I must say, we were not disappointed! There was plenty of variety in the menu provided, standard dishes, vegetarian and vegan options were all available. We ordered poppadoms, vegetable Samosas, Chicken Pakora, a paneer tikka curry, garlic naan and pilau rice. The food was on time, expertly presented and plated, the flavours absolutely divine! They even gave us some bonus onion Baji on the house! We arrived fairly late in the evening and weren't expecting to get a table. But the staff were really friendly and accommodating and quickly found a table for two in a nice quiet corner. We both really enjoyed our visit to Spice Valley and immediately felt at home, we'll definitely be visiting again in the future! Thanks again for the kind, relaxed and friendly experience. You get full stars and I hope this gets more people to your lovely restaurant. ☺️

Absolutely loved it, food was amazing, starters were so tasty and the mains were amazing big portions aswell couldn't fault anything with the food. Waiting staff lovely and polite very good service would definitely reccomend as i will be going again 😀

We dine here regular but I like to keep reviewing to confirm that the consistency of service and food at Spice Valley is always spot on. We’ve been dining here for years and enjoyed another lovely meal on NYE. We enjoyed mixed starter and a fish dish followed by the sea bass meal which is lovely as it comes as a full meal with a lovely side sauce of your choice, it’s a nice change from having a full saucy curry with the benefit of all the spice Indian flavours. Washed down with a bottle of chateauneuf du pape and top service as always thanks to Sanjeev and Vik and team.

Called here for the first time with friends, heard some decent reviews about it so thought it would be worth a try. First of all I was impressed with the actual building and was very spacious and staff were good and attentive, then we got our popadoms and chutney tray and it went down hill from there , the popadoms felt like they were out of a packet and the chutney tray was the most boring I have ever had with only 3 pots with hardly anything in . The starter I had was a chicken chat which are usually quite filling but this was just some chicken rolled on a small wrap with some fancy drizzle on but it was tasteless, then my main came which was chicken tikka karai which in every Indian restaurant I have been to is cooked in a clay pot and served in that on a wood base , this came just as all the others came and didn’t even look like a karai and again it was bland and tasteless but the chicken was ok , rice was ok nothing special . I do love my curries and know a good curry house when I go to one but this was like a home cooked one that you feel disappointed with . I think it gets busy due to location around the pubs and does the job but not for me I want a good curry . Sorry won’t be returning 👎🏼

Dinner for ten to celebrate my son's 50th Birthday. Waiter came and took drinks order. Waited some time for the waiter to return for food orders. Ordered Poppadoms, Onion Baji for starters, Onion Baji extremely dissapointing, poor flavour and consistency of a shop bought one, one poppadom each but poor selection and small quantity of dips was barely enough. Then waited nearly and hour for the main courses to arrive, after about ten minutes waiter arrived to ask if everything was ok...No it wasn't four diners were still waiting for their rice dishes and none of the Nan breads had been delivered, it took another ten minutes to sort out by which time the meat dishes were cold and some diners had already finished their meal. I know it was a busy Saturday night but that was no excuse, we went in to dine at 6:30 and didn't leave till nearly 9:30; three hours for a two course meal. We certainly won't be returning.

Really poor food! Starter was really poor, dry and flavourless. The main also. Chicken shashlik sauce had no flavour, very bland and no salt at all. Really poor experience and disappointing for a curry house. Won't be visiting again.
