We had the special starter for two which was excellent. After a short break at our request, we had two main courses, a side dish plus Nan bread all of which were excellent with leftovers taken back home with us. Service was very good, the food was great and the price was very reasonable. I am sure this will be our new favourite place to eat. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

The staff were very welcoming, the prices are very reasonable, the meal came out like clockwork, not too fast not too slow, we were offered a set menu deal even on a weekend evening and it was fantastic value for money! Food was great, staff were great, it was a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed, will definitely be going back and recommending to friends and family

Great food at a great price. However, asked for a break in between starter and main. Was no problem, it will be a while anyway and still brought it out 5 mins later so had to leave most of it. Other than that, loved it.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, staff made us welcome even though we'd come straight from a football match and not exactly dressed for dining out. As normal the food comes red hot and so tasty. Best Indian in Bolton and the area.

If anyone has anything bad to say about this place then you need to ignore them the staff are amazing and the food is second to none if Indian food is your go to then this restaurant is your new go to because believe me when I say I’ve never had food as good as this 5* quality with high class service

Can’t thank them enough looking after my granddaughter who has a mustard allergy. The staff checked and double checked and cooked her food in separate oil etc. The whole family meal was brilliant. Thank you so much we really appreciate looking after us

My favourite Indian restaurant to visit. Started going here last summer and since then we're regulars! Food is amazing, service is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. Family friendly and the servers are always great with the kids. Really reasonably priced too!

My wife and l visited the Tamarind Table on Christmas Eve yes it was busy we booked for 7pm we expected that what l need to bring to their and your attention is the quality of the food we had the usual starters pappadoms and rashmi kebab and a thrown together prawn puri.it was the mains that let us down my wife asked for chicken tikka on a skewer this came and was tandoori chicken My main was king prawn madras which came with what seemed to manufactured prawns nothing like what l expected whatsoever please don’t get me wrong it’s not the first time visiting there by far but on this occasion very disappointing indeed, I was also violently ill a my daughters the following day l cannot say for sure what caused that event,l would be interested if anyone else had my problems and food issues.This will not stop us trying the Tamarind again but NOT on a special day such as Christmas or the New Year celebrations.j Many thanks indeed. Gorgeous Christmas Eve Eve meal!We have just got home and I felt the need to review straight away Everything about this place is great-this was our first visit but we will be back! We got a lovely friendly welcome from everyone The lovely gentleman who I think may be the owner came over and recommended the £22.95 per head menu -poppadoms, mixed starter, a main (anything from the menu)rice chips and naan bread.All the food was SO delicious We could have had more rice chips naan but we were full! We had lamb shaslik, chicken bhuna, tandoori tikka masala, lamb bhuna as our mains The food really is top notch and really reasonable prices Thank you for a lovely Christmas Eve eve meal -we will be back!!

My go to Indian, whether eat in or takeaway, can’t fault the quality of the food or the service.

A group of 14 people and all decided on the set menu, mixed starters and any choice main. Excellent food and service very good with majority of people getting courses served together.

Parking available around the back, can be a nightmare on weekends. Service was fine, food was good, only Cobra on tap.

A very disappointing Saturday night meal. I have visited this restaurant many times, and sadly, last night their standards were very poor.....a victim of their success....the place was unbelievably busy. Standing room only downstairs at the bar and waiting area,and upstairs fully occupied. We were a large party, booked in advance, and everything was slow, service was chaotic and food was not what I have come to expect. Mixed starters were not fresh, temperature was tepid at best, with disappointingly bland flavours. Poppadoms and dips were ok. Asked for water at the table, and this took 2 hours to show up, despite asking for it repeatedly. A few people ordered coke, and they got very flat dilute syrup....asked for it to be changed.....came back the same......eventually bottled coke arrived. The mains were nothing special. I ordered fish shashlik....it was awful. The fish was mushy, salty and tasted of nothing. I didn't have rice, just naan bread....again disappointing. Overall, one of the worst curries I have had.....and doubly disappointing as I have had some very very nice meals here over the years

Excellent food and service. A big menu but ask your server for recommendations. Try something different from your usual. Spice levels clearly shown. Portion sizes are quite big so bear in mind if you're having starters or sweets. Cobra on draft and bottled kingfisher available

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since it opened We try to visit every few weeks or so as it is one of our favourite restaurants I have written a few reviews for this restaurant over the year's and always give it 5 stars as it never disappoints The staff are excellent and very friendly with a good knowledge of all the food if you need help when ordering . We came with some friends last week who visit often and recommended it. The food was just okay. Menu is a bit boring. I'm used to a better class of curry with a varied and interesting menu. This definitely did not hit the spot.

Gorgeous food..attentive staff without being overbearing...friendly, polite and very clean

Nice welcome on arrival, nice decor, really nice food and really and very good value for money. Lots of interesting curries to try and we'll be back to try them. I got the chicken shashlik and it was really nice and tasty and you could see where the chicken and veggies had been cooked in the tandoor. Always got to kick off with some poppadoms, and they were nice and crispy!

I was recommended this place by a couple of people. We usually go to the Mahabharat in Hindley, but thought we would have a change. The exterior not too inviting, but there is car parking to the rear. Inside is really lovely, modern, very clean and smart. We booked in advance and were given a warm welcome. Service was very polite and efficient. We had some Prospect bottled beer which was a big plus for us. We ordered a mixed starter which was delicious and our main meals were also excellent. This place is cheaper than we are used to but the quality is better, so a meal here represents excellent value for money as well as providing a more peaceful atmosphere than normal. I also recommend it highly!

Amazing restaurant, prices are fair and the new look inside is very glitzy and clean. I've had a few take outs from here which have been nice but tonight we ate in and wow, it was so lovely and the service was A+.

Food was amazing!, really quick service and cheap considering how much we ordered including drinks for under £60 , will definitely be returning . What we ordered: Drinks- 3 cobras , vodka and coke and a normal coke Food- chutney tray +4 poppadoms, 2x chicken chat starters , chicken tikka masala , chicken jalfrezi , chips , keema rice and garlic naan

I gave this place 5 out of 5 last month as a sit in couple. So loved it so much got the same main as a take away so terrible not same quantity of meat plus not one tandoori breat I didn't want two tandoori thigh leg units. I expect the same as sit in our tell us the changes...not cricket. Won't be back as I've spat my dummy out.

It's been a while since we last dined here. And it did not disappoint. It was the freshest, great tasting indian meal I've had for while. And the tandoori meat is soon good and the lamb is the tenderness lamb you ll every eat. And a good price too Not much to look at from outside, better inside but the food is the real winner here and the staff. Try it. I had a same dish as takeaway a few weeks later...found it not the same quality or quantity, yes give 15% discount on not using restaurant facilities but not a unexpected 40% less quantity and quality, started with 5 out of 5 with first review but now a 2out of five due to thinking they can do this to those who wish to stay at home not the same dish for the same money honestly😔

A western Indian dilemma. This is a 1.7 star review. 🌟 Tamarind table was recommended by a work colleague so I decided to give it a go as the Google reviews were also very good. I messaged the restaurant the night before via Google (the first time I had used the Google contact service) They responded quickly. The restaurant is on a main road with privite parking at the rear. We booked early as we expected a Friday to be busy. On arrival we was seated promptly. (me, my partner and our 5 year old daughter) Shortly after a waiter came and took our drink order. I ordered a pint of cobra. It was served promptly but didn't taste like cobra. It wasn't a bad pint probably something different but It was good enough to drink. The waiter came to take the food order shortly after and we advised we was vegan and my partner asked if they did a sagg dish (spinach) as it wasn't on the menu. The waiter was unsure so Another waiter came shortly after answer was no but they did a palak dish which was the same. (technically its not the same but similar). My partner ordered dahl soup for starters and I ordered onion bhaji. The waiter later returned to inform me that the onion bhaji had egg in it and was not vegan so I ordered a vegetable samosa. We ordered the vegetable palak and a vegetable bhuna and requested the bhuna spicy with lots of fresh corriandor. On Google said the restaurant had a children's menu but this was not true. They offers us chicken nuggets but we opted for a small portion of butter chicken and chips for our daughter. The starters arrived promptly. The Dhal soup was nice, it had a prominent dry earthy tumeric taste to it that may not be to everyones liking buy it was nice to us. It could of done with a little salt seasoning. The samosa was lightly spiced with a gentle crisp served with a side salad. It was reasonably good. We decided to order 2 papadoms for our daughter after the starters had been served which came with a sweet mango pulp puree. Papadoms were on the menu but we never requested any initially. It is the first Indian restaurant I can recall ever visiting that has not brought papadoms to the table as a complimentary appetiser. This is not a critical point in my review but more an observation. I had requested a second pint of cobra that seemed to be the genuine article. mains followed shortly after. The sagwala was different from what we had ever tried at any other Indian restaurant and certainly wasn't the best. The bhuna did not resemble a bhuna what so ever nor did it have the corriandor that was requested. It was more like a tin of sweet tomato soup with a spoonful of garam masala added. I had to question if the chef was really Indian. The waiter said he was but admitted that he wouldn't eat that food himself. He explained that bhuna was not a spicy dish but that was not really the issue. He also explained that the food was aimed at the western palate (this is maybe the driver of my issue) The waiter advised that he would bring another dish that was more like what he would order. When it arrived it was darker in colour, hotter and had a little more depth of flavour but despite tasteing better it had the same sweet undertones. The staff were friendly and polite. One of them engaged in conversation about veganism and was very friendly. Overall despite the friendly staff The food was very disappointing and far from authentic Indian cuisine. The decor was modern and contemporary, generally clean and tidy with a slightly cold ambience. It is hard to believe that this has a 4 start plus rating with the dishes that they served but maybe we are just victims of the western palate.

My favourite place to go for a curry. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The curry tastes wonderful and I take lots of different people there

Beautiful food and great service

Visited the restaurant on 28/01/2023. Sat for an hour upstairs & nobody even came to take our food order. We should've known as when we walked in a customer was complaining about exactly the same issue. We ended up leaving hungry & disappointed l. If you're after good service avoid at all costs.

Enjoyed a family Christmas meal at tamarind table. The restaurant was busy, had a great atmosphere and food was amazing, as always. The staff here are so friendly and attentive and go the extra mile. Huge thanks to Mohammed for always looking after us and my elderly dad. Made our Christmas this year thank you so much everyone at Tamarind.

Visited here in September the Weshoughton restaurant. Collected a take away. Gorgeous food. We really enjoyed our Jalfrezi Currys. Very fresh and tasty and nice hot spices. The starters were lovely too. The best onion bhajis I have had in ages and lovely chilli naan bread. Will definitely come again 🙂🙃

We visit this restaurant frequently and have always been satisfied with the quality of food and service . Each member of staff are always happy and attentive to our needs and requests . MO the manager is a breath of fresh air with his work ethic and attitude . We always recommend the restaurant to our friends and each and everyone always compliment the food and service .

Well where do I start… starters was barely warm and had hardly any taste to them, moved onto the mains we had ordered a vindaloo..I’ve tasted more spice in a chicken korma, shouted over the waiter to inform him we wasn’t happy with the curry it tasted like a tin of tomatoes an wasn’t at all spicy, all he did was laugh an said he couldn’t even eat a chicken tikka, says it all when a 8 year old is sat eating spoons of “vindaloo” Definitely will not be returning absolute waste of money an the response of the waiter when he was told the curry was not up to standard was just an absolute joke
