It’s only the no alcohol license stopping taj being the most popular the food every time is first class , so tasty cooked to your request always hot and fresh , served with a smile , can’t fault it , no where does onion bhaji s better . Top class restaurant. Take your own beer great option cuts the bill .

I ordered set meal 1 for delivery. When it arrived I was happy with the amount of food for the price. Poppodums were nice, but you can't really get them wrong. On to the mixed starter - the seekh kebab first was actually really tasty so I had high hopes for the rest of the meal but this is where things went downhill. The onion bahji, I prefer them crisper but they are always a coin toss so not too bothered about that. The chicken in the starter however, was kind of hard to bite, but not because it is overcooked, just because it had that consistency where it feels slightly undercooked (hard to explain on here). It was unfortunate but it was only 1 piece of chicken so I thought never mind, I've got a whole curry to enjoy so won't get too caught up on that 1 thing. However, the chicken in the curry itself was cooked the same. I had to spit it out and leave the whole thing. I probably could have pushed through and ate it despite the consistency but I had a genuine concern that eating it could have given me food poisoning. I thew the whole thing away. I just cannot understand all these high reviews, maybe the chef just dropped the ball with this order.

Nice friendly staff, food was outstanding and plenty choice ,food also came out straight away didn’t have to wait long was really hot and just right to eat. There was plenty of delicious curries to pick from which i found Brilliant.

Fabulous as usual. Wonderful service by wonderful staff. The very best food, each and every time. I can't rate the Taj Mahal more highly. On a personal point, I wouldn't go anywhere else. There are just not enough stars to offer this establishment. From walking in through the door to walking out, it is a great experience.

We had the weekly deal for £13.95 each a fantastic 5 course meal with great choices of different starters and main course. A really good curry and quick service too. We will definitely be back again !👍

We visited this restaurant located on a main road. The restaurant was nicely laid out with nice decor. We had the discounted set 4 course menu available between 5-9pm during the week for £13 per person. The food was very nice and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Well worth a visit.

Ordered a chicken tikka biryani and it did not disappoint. If you’re looking for good Indian food this is the best place. Great family run business

This is the only Indian we’ll go to in farnworth the food is so tasty and amazing value for money , don’t be put off by taking your own alcohol basically you’re drinking what you want ,it’s cheaper and it cuts the bill down dramatically and the owner/ waiters are so polite and attentive, we had popps , starters , mains , rice , chips naans and coffees under £50 for 2 well worth a visit

Yet again another great meal with friends we had the mid week special menu 5 courses and extras £17.50 pp absolutely brilliant take your own wine if you like a tipple the food as always was excellent the cook will a-just the the food to your taste if you ask the staff are great nothings to much trouble we love it it’s the best

Not been in here for years, took my 2 daughters and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was Great excellent we spent 2 hrs enjoying the evening never felt pressure and even finished with ice cream ! Excellent food lovely environment.

Came for down for a family meal, it was a great experience, waiters were attentive, and food was lovely, I would definitely come back here again, nice atmosphere, great for family meals.

Saw the raving reviews and decided to give it a go with my friends for a takeaway. It was cold and the portion sizes were small. Quality of food was below par to what we all have before. Would not be returning. However the front of house staff that served me was friendly so I guess thats the only positive to take from here

Always welcoming and the food is delicious and reasonably priced - I just wish more people would use this place, it's overlooked in favour of the The Royal Balti. People get in there bring your own beer, they will put it in the fridge for you, they have a bottle opener and they don't charge corkage. Can't praise them enough

The three staff that served us tonight were really helpful and friendly and helped to make my friend's 70th birthday meal special. I had taken in a cake, candles, balloon prior to our arrival and asked if they could bring out the birthday cake when I gave them a signal. They even gave me some birthday banners to put up. All went really well. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff.

Disgusting! Donner is frozen donner that taste awful, big thick pieces looks grey not brown, soggy popadoms. Keema paratha looked disabled but taste ok. didnt bring my mix grill, thats the main thing i ordered. When i rung up they was quizzing me like i was lying and adamant that they put it in. Them rung back to tell me to look for it! Cheeky and insulting. Avoid!!!

Food was fantastic. Lots to choose from. Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere. These service was fast and there was plenty of seating. It was clean. There I a selection of house wine and beer plus spirits all reasonable priced. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. There is a big car car park over the road which is a big plus because it was free. Well worth a visit.

Whet on Christmas day, the set menu is £35 I shared my meal with my partner as we are not big eaters both got charged £35 for a set menue even tho we only had one, avoid at all costs plus if you drink cider they buy bottles from Lidl for 2 quid odd and charge you 4 quid for a pint don't trust them

This is a VERY good restaurant that does proper nice & tasty food as well as nice polite staff, I'd really recommend this restaurant to everyone

We placed an order on website for pick up 20.45 they rang us 1hr 30 mins early saying it's ready, couldn't pick up Cos in work. Went to pick up at correct time food waiting didn't check, unfortunately, completely missed a main meal off, went to call in restaurant - already closed! Internet said it was still open.. won't bother with website to order again...good food but check your order...

It took an hour and a half to come when it arrived it was cold, order a prawn starter there was two prawns more salad than anything else,asked for a refund very disappointing

As a pescatarian my choice was limited. Fish dishes not included in set meals. I was charged extra for daring to ask for a fish starter. I was not told there would be an extra charge. As for my main course I had to settle for soggy vegetables in sauce. This was my first and last visit.

Lovely place and friendly atmosphere. Food is well priced. Food was nice and tasty. Would recommend to anyone.
