Nando's Bolton - Middlebrook in Bolton

Been to this restaurant before and it was great but last night the food was left under the heat lamps for far too long so everything tasted dried out. Was quite disappointing.

It's hard to review nandos. It's nandos. You know what your getting. So I will say that I've visited this site a few times and the staff are all friendly and helpful

Called up half an hour before closing and the staff member said it was fine to go. They didn't rush us. Enjoyed our meal.

Visited today and one member of staff was shockingly rude . I asked for medium garlic sauce and she stated there was only a few bottles that are in use . I then stated I can’t eat my food without it and any chance she could ask a table if I could borrow it or if they was done with it. She ignored me. Then I said well can you ? And she said no and started whispering something to her colleague and laughing ! I asked another table who kindly gave me the sauce . Following this the rude staff member kept walking past my table smirking and going over to her colleague to whisper things and laugh. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Not sure who gives people like that a job but zero customer service skills and acts like a school child. Won’t be visiting again !!

The best service by Connor and Chloe. They both deserve employee of the week/month or year! Amazing service with a smile, made us feel welcome and comfortable from the minute we stepped in to when we had finished. The food was brilliant and their service with a smile was second to non along with a lovely atmosphere . We would definitely come back as long as these members of staff are serving here! Keep up the great work guys! Hope you get some sort of reward for this!

Worst Nandos me and my wife have had. Think they forgot to season the chicken, burnt Halloumi, overcooked pitta and just thrown together.

Food tasted nice, until it gave me the worst food poisoning of my life. I got my dessert for takeaway as I wasn’t feeling well after eating my main and throwing it all back up, just to open my dessert when I got home and it be the complete wrong dessert. When I entered nandos they didn’t greet me they just sat me down, didn’t ask for allergies, didn’t ask if I have been there before, didn’t mention where anything was as any other nandos usually does and the staff looked miserable which made the experience rather dull, also when I got seated they didn’t ask if the table was good enough, they just told us to sit down and left, and didn’t even get a check back. Wont be returning. Just ate the dessert, cant say I’m pleased, tasted like a pure block of butter and had little crispy bits in it which I’m presuming is chicken. Ew

Carly needs a raise. We were told we could leave a review for her on a email but we never got it so I have to put it here. Warm and friendly from the get go, when we sat down and she asked if we would write a review so I thought she would be talking to us our entire meal. Nope. Instead she got us free drinks and dessert, and left us to eat! The perfect amount of interaction to make sure everything was great with our food and that she wasn’t intruding on our meal. I’m currently 5 months pregnant and honestly I’m gonna tell my partner I’m craving a Nando’s every week so we can go back and enjoy great food with the perfect service. She greeted every customer like they were an old friend, we’ve been to this Nando’s a few times but it’s a bit of a drive from us so we usually go to one closer. But I think this will be the one we go to the most from now on, just for Carly. Give her a raise ( or at least a half an hour early finish) !!!

Absolutely disgusting, you pay through the nose for chicken and side, order for delivery, they don't pack the order correctly, but you then have to go to the shop to collect, Absolutely ridiculous. Won't be ordering again...

Carli was amazing, she makes everyone feel welcome, great humour with the service and makes sure it’s such an enjoyable experience.

Middle brook Nando’s visit is never the same without Karlie/Carlie there. Carlie is just the most hospitable, welcoming and kindest waiter I’ve ever come across. I’ve been there a lot with coworkers and my family, and boy do I notice the difference when Carlie is not on shift. Carlie makes time to come chat with my baby, makes sure we have everything we need, and always has the biggest genuine smile. I mean the food is always great but it’s always nice to see Carlie there. I really hope I spelled the name correct.

It's your standard/typical nandos although they offer Halal, whereas some are not. The service can be a little hit and miss as it is very busy as well as catering for takeaway orders and food delivery services. So ordering or booking in advance is probably a good idea, especially on the weekends. However, if you like nandos it will meet your expectations.

Food fine and staff helpful but there was a downtrodden feel about the place. Sorry, but that's how we felt.

I got home from the airport last night. There was no food in the house and it was a Sunday night, nothing was open. I was hungry. So I placed an order for me and my friend through Deliveroo at 21:50. I do appreciate that it’s 10 minutes before closing time, but it was an option on deliveroo, and so I went for it. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and I wouldn’t dream of walking into a place 10 minutes before closing time. But since it was an option on deliveroo, I assumed they’d be happy with the custom. So we get a phone call close to 22:00 to say that they are out of chicken and to point out that the order was placed 10 minutes before closing time. I’m not sure what one has to do with the other, but apparently Nando’s are out of chicken! I couldn’t believe it either, dear reader, and in fact I still don’t. Note - there was no offer to send us other food (burgers, beanie patties, halloumi, etc), just a strong suggestion that we have to go on the deliveroo app and cancel the order, apparently this is preferable to them cancelling it form their end. Again, I smell something here; it probably looks better on the system for the customer to cancel rather than the restaurant to do so. Also - note that after 14 hours of travelling and whilst hungry I had to spend 30 minutes arguing with deliveroo about cancelling this order, their app and staff were quite confused and being very slow. Apparently they couldn’t get in touch with the restaurant… By this time it was too late to order something else with anyone else, as most restaurants don’t take orders after 22:00. If I’d have known that, I’d have placed an order with another Nando’s (such as the vaults in Bolton) or basically any restaurant that doesn’t lie to their clients. Here’s what should have happened: - staff at Nando’s middlebrook should have turned off the option/availability on deliveroo when they ran out of stock. - the food items that were out of stock should have been marked as unavailable. None of the above happened, which makes me think that they want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be marked as available on deliveroo, but not actually fulfil orders that aren’t convenient for them. Again, I’ve worked in the service industry for years, and I know what really happened there. From about 21:30 onwards, perhaps as the last few customers were having the last of their meals, they cleaned down the kitchen and possibly even sent the kitchen staff home. Fair enough, really, and I would have done the same. BUT - I would also have switched off availability on deliveroo at this point. So these guys got caught out with an order at 21:50, and decided to call us and tell us that they’re out of chicken (REALLY?!) and that we had to cancel the order. I hope management sees this and deals with it accordingly. Guys and girls - there’s a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, grab it cause YOUR PANTS ARE ON FIRE!!!

Placed an order through deliveroo. Got a call within a few minutes: “we’re out of chicken”. I’m sorry; I just don’t buy it. I’ve been to this Nando’s a few times before and it’s relatively decent (better than the vaults). For some reason the onus is upon me to cancel the order through deliveroo. It seems more logical to me that the party that cannot fulfil the order has to cancel it and refund the money.

Had butterfly burger. Skin was meant to be crispy. Soggy wet. Roll would have been nice slightly toasted. Single leaf of lettuce on burger and large tasteless beef tomato. Side of coleslaw tasted very vinegary. Coke tasted very watered down. Very expensive for what it is. Nothing special and not "VIP"!!

We visited this evening and Carly was superb- thank you!

Quick service, easy to order and piping hot food. My only complaint would be a manager I think, who walks around the serving floor swigging a can of red bull and chewing gum

We had a great time at Nandos Bolton Middlebrook. It was refreshing to see genuine care taken with allergies, as when the server asked if there were any allergies and I informed her of mine, she got the manager to come over and take my order to ensure all allergy information was taken and taken seriously. As for the food, well Nandos rarely disappoints. The same could be said for the Middlebrook store, the food was exceptionally tasty, presented well and brought out incredibly quickly to the table. A nice array of sauces are available as well as unlimited ice cream and drinks. I definitely recommend the OG chicken burger with halloumi. The serving staff were really attentive and helpful throughout.

Kudos to Carly 😘 I called with a family of 6 on the bank holiday weekend! It was expectedly busy and we were told we would be seated in 20 mins but was actually sat down in 10mins. The food was good, out in good time. I have to follow suit with the praise on here for the manager Carly. She is clearly consistent in her level of customer service! Nothing too much trouble and she runs a tight ship. Great meal out we will be back.. pls pass on our thanks to Carly x

Visited yesterday evening with my niece and nephew. My first time (they made me go 😁) It was packed and a bit noisy but completely understandable for this type of place. Wasn't sure i would like it at first. It was much better than i expected though. The food was really nice, but the service was outstanding. Staff were all friendly but one in particular, think her name is Carly was amazing. I've worked in hospitality and still do, all my life. She is a credit to Nandos and please say a huge thank you to her for us. Will definitely be returning.

Our server was a lady named Carly, and her service was impeccable from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our seats, where she came across so lovely with the best energy and enthusiasm. She made sure we were all sorted.

Nando’s Letdown: Overpriced Long Stem Broccoli My recent Nando’s experience left me disappointed, particularly with the £3.75 long stem broccoli side dish. Of which I received two slithers reminiscent to blades of grass, The limp and lackluster greens failed to justify the price, leaving me craving a more satisfying accompaniment.

Me and my husband came with our 2 year old daughter and We were greeted by Carly. She made us feel welcomed and comfortable from the get go. She was very friendly and had great customer service! We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back again. Thank you for brightening our day!

Food was great, staff were very friendly, especially Sheila, and that new saka sauce is amazing, doesn’t taste hot at all, very lovely and sweet. Service was very quick too, great experience.

When I go to a nandos I'm not really expecting good service, so I was very pleasantly surprised to have Jen be looking after us on our visit this evening, She was so lovely, and went the extra mile. She really eally made our experience great so thank you Jen if you are reading this we hope to see you again on our next visit.

My wrap was cold yet again, as it consistently is every single time I come here without fail! I asked for mayonnaise, only to be told that there isn't any! And this was an overall bad experience as usual! I doubt I will be coming here again!

Dined in today and was served by Carly, the best customer service we’ve ever received, and was so welcoming she helped us with everything we needed to know, we will defo be coming back more regularly for that reason

"I've only been to Nando's twice: today at Middlebrook and once in Manchester. I must be a glutton for punishment! Walking into the entrance of the Middlebrook Nando's should tell you all you need to know: grubby and in desperate need of a lick of paint, not to mention the finger marks over just about everything. However, the staff were attentive and friendly, but unfortunately, that was all. The starters consisted of hummus with a crust on it, halloumi fries that were soft, and wedges that had just been heated up. It was obviously sat on the hot plate waiting to be dished out at some point. The butterfly burger was £11.75 without chips, and the grilled chicken burger was £7.95, £11.70 with a side order (certainly not like the photo on the website). The garlic bread was damp and burnt, but apart from that, it was OK. Would I go again, need you ask? It seems it was once a decent place, but it seems they have lost interest in serving freshly prepared food but would rather you order it on the app and serve it within 2 minutes at your table. I mean, that should tell you something. Shame, great location and not a bad menu, but the Nando's scalable business model has now failed."

Not happy. Waited an hour and 10 minutes for my food. We queried this twice with staff to be told “i will check” only after the third time being asked how long our food would be a nice girl named mia helped. No apology from staff!

Service is slow, and food is mediocre. For the price, the portion sizes are poor. The quality of the chicken portions are not great. More bone than chicken.

Wen't here recently and the place was bustling. Great staff, great atmosphere and amazing food. Would definitely recommend.

Really well dressed building. Staff are amazing and so kind. Very quick service, I am from Burnley but this is my new go-to nandos.

Noisy, but only to be expected at 5pm during holidays, plenty of tables available so only a few minutes queuing to be seated. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was good, if a little expensive.

When I went with a friend we was very limited to what we could have, there were no thighs or mac and cheese and alot was out of stock, if we'd of gone later on I'd understand but not 17:00 on a Thursday night.. The service from the people was good just the lack of food and choice really let it down

We were greeted by a lovely manager who took excellent care of us during our visit. She went out of her way to ensure that we were not left trying to get a waiters attention and came over to offer us more food to make our visit even better. The customer service was great, and it really boosted the mood and the atmosphere in the restaurant, and so I would recommend to everyone to visit.

What amazing staff. All I can say is you've restored faith in humanity. Today I ordered a meal for myself and my daughter. I went to pay and my card declined many times and I only had enough cash for my daughters meal which I ordered. A member of staff discreetly asked me what I would like to eat and drink and said it was on the house...I nearly cried and couldn't believe how kind it was. I thanked the manager so Nandos the staff at this Nandos are gold dust and deserve a pay rise. I'm utterly shocked by their kindness and empathy. I'll never ever forget this act of kindness 💕

Proper nice food the only fault I have is when its busy they miss half of your sauces out on your food which is a big disappointment for me other then that its spot on

Not a lover of Nando's like a cattle market. Too many people with huge queues. The whole of Middlebrook is a nightmare. Not enough places for parking. Everywhere was overcrowded. Nando's was no exception. Just hurded people in and out. Fast food nothing healthy. Not my choice, friends chose, outnumbered 2 to 1.

Went to Nando's at middlebrook today after Bolton wanderers football. Had excellent service by the waitress called Carly, never had such brilliant customer service at Nando's, food was great too! Thanks! 🤩
