Costa Coffee in Bolton

Surprised how big it was and it was spotless. Only used the drive thru before. Have to remember to put in your license plate number if there for over 1 hour

First time in this particular Costa. Coffee always good and the only place l will drink coffee. Pleasant interior and available parking

Bought a Cheese and ham toasty. I would not have fed it to my dog!! The square bread had a very small ring of cream cheese on the middle with what looked like and tasted like a piece of pink cardboard. Disgusting.

Way over priced. £9 for a small smoothie, a sandwich, and a snack !!!

I always come in before work with my dad, a lovely lad called Con I believe served us, we never even need to say out order he knows it off by heart and everyone else's who comes in. I don't think I've ever had better service ever and it everyday ! ☺️

I was right behind a woman who had a issue with the service and caused a scene at the costa, but the staff handled it extremely well and was very friendly and professional with me, the food and service was great, they were even able to chnage a coffee to a terrys hot chocolate on a breakfast deal. Definitely worth it

Staff member very unpleasant. No interaction and just talking to her friend being served at the counter and then decided to serve a drive through car that just arrived and just left me stood there. I walked out and decided to go elsewhere. Customer service needs massive improvement. I think they've forgotten who's paying who in that store.

The area and atmosphere are very nice and it's in the central Bolton location, which is very convenient after I've had a swim at Jason Kenny Centre. The staff are slow and not very pleasant. It's like they are being forced to work there. They never smile or look as if they are enjoying their job. It always seems like there's a negative vibe between the staff. Doesn't seem like they get along. I enjoy the food, but some of the drinks are disgusting. I ordered a salted caramel hot milkshake, and it was nothing like the one shown in the pictures. It was gloopy and sickening. The staff are not trained properly. The only hot drink I ever ordered is a flat white, which actually tastes and looks like a flat white. Everything else tastes like a 12 year old has made at home using just Luke warm milk and hardly any taste of coffee. I always prefer the Starbucks coffee and flavours but sometimes when I'm in a rush or because a friend desires to go Costa, then I'll go but as always I'm very disappointed with the service and drinks. Staff is too slow, the queue is too long and you're lucky if you get a place to sit down. The staff definitely don't take pride in their work, and that's not good for me. Costa quality seems to be going down. Prices and offers are good, but quality is rubbish.

The staff is good at making coffee, but the tables are not clean and no one cares about cleaning them. Everyone is behind the counter. Someone should be assigned to clean the tables because they look disgusting.

I didn't feel welcomed when place my order, they didn't bother with decorating on top of my coffee as I have used my free coffee point. They just add cold milk into my americano when I did ask for milk so I got a cold coffee. I normally use Blackburn Costa and they treat me well.

Why do they block the best seats about 90 mins before closing .. ridiculous

Just went in for a quick coffee, wish I didn't, standing in a queue 10 mins with only one person in front, staff that rude didn't even speak, if she would of said "hi just give me a min" I would of waited but got nothing not even a smile

Billie made me a fabulous coffee which she suggested it was super and the latte art was really heart felt. Janet was really warm and friendly . Super staff. 🤗

Probably the friendliest Costa on the area.

Not enough tables cleared only 2 staff at 4pm. One was putting chairs up so she could mop. The lady serving asked her to clear a table, which she did promptly.

Ordered black iced, got black, told them I ordered black iced, got handed back black, again. “Oh iced” yes. Still gave me the exact same drink back. Girl looked like she didn’t know whether she was coming or going so just took it . At the point u can’t do a coffee correctly where do u go from there

Get on a bay every time and have a good rappor with the security staff, can be a bit tight tipping in the warehouse though.

A visit has left me hundred of pounds out of pocket. Awful company to deal with. Costa's view is that just because they operate a drive-thru, they don't care and aren't responsible if giant potholes damage your vehicle on the way in. They were aware of the issue as several motorists using the drive thru damaged their cars on the way in and complained. Magically the hole repaired itself apparently as it was nothing to do with them and they aren't responsible for the damage to the entrance to their drive-thru caused by the volume of traffic using their drive-thru.

Use this Costa regularly. Everything about the place is fine. However I’ve only given 1 star because just received a whopping £100 parking notice from some money grabbing parking company based in Preston. Customers be aware of the parking restrictions. In force since January 24. We never even realised it affects all of this car park, including the area which covers the vets. We visited and the returned within ONE HOUR and were slapped with a £100 charge!!!… How absolutely disgraceful …what thieves this company is. Making money like this!… I am disabled and will not use this Costa again!

My new watering hole! Costa is and always has been my favourite coffee shop. This puppy has a drive thru! which, by the way, runs like a dream. Staff are friendly as standard, nice coffee and well made. Price of coffee is expensive, im not gonna moan though, as i keep going back! 😂 Can't fault the place.

Excellent staff and the service is quick despite it being a busy place. Theres plentiful of seating and its kept clean. We go often.

I don't Costa as often these days ..cost of living .. and not visiting Bolton much but this is my usual destination when I go into town clean friendly nice to chill and relax .. always a good place to visit ..

Toilet was in a right state. Tap wasn't fitted correctly, flopping about. No soap. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned.

No clear menu so couldn't look at different options iced cappahino was very bitter

4pm on a Monday and bringing in chairs and tables and getting ready for closing. Toastie cooked on one side and two staff desperate to leave. Coffee was nice as always but as a treat, the experience for just under £8 was thoroughly depressing. Thanks

This Costa Coffee shop locates at the prime city centre with many supermarkets around, Next, Argos, TKMaxx are also there too. It's always full of people and sometimes you need to queue up in order to pay.

Swift and friendly service. Costa coffee at its best. Never been in a Costa where the toilet doors needed a 4 digit code to gain access! Staff were very helpful I this situation.

Dirty, staff never welcoming. Never seen a staff member smile when I'm being served. That wasn't the same for other people going in. Wasnt made to feel welcome

Very friendly staff, lovely team. The manager is super friendly and everyone loves Connie . He's fab and makes the drive thru entertaining how can you nit be happy if you work with Connie. Only thing I would say is costa I'm general is getting a little expensive . I'm sure the overheads have gone up and more importantly the staff need paying well. Perhaps more offers is the way forward.

Given two pieces of mouldy bread, as toast by no other than the manager Hayley who later apologised when I brought it back. A few days later, adding insult to injury. Got served by someone called Alex with the worst attitude. I think I’ve ever seen in Customer Service. No please no thank you just abrupt. When I go back to complain, I speak to the manager, Hayley and address the situation regarding Alex to which I am told well. Actually Alex is my daughter. I’m assuming that Hayley has given Alex the go-ahead to basically behave. Anyway she likes because she’s the manager of that store, I have been visiting this particular branch for a couple of years now and I have to say the rest of the staff have been really lovely and polite and I do think you need to definitely retrain your manager. Hayley, a look at things like mouldy bread, and also address the situation with her daughter Alex, because if things carry on the way they are doing you won’t have a Costa Coffee in this area any longer.

Came here for coffee and cake, the staff are very welcoming, not many people in because it was the end of the day, I find Costa coffee expensive and do not come here often.

A good place to have a coffee. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is conducive to have meetings with friends or clients. Sometimes I also do my work here and always felt welcome. Coffee and hot chocolate are good.

Good food selection. Great catch up place for coffee and lunch.

Didn't have chocolate syrup which was a little disappointing so tried a tropical mango bubble frappe. I'm sure they just make the names up. What in the name of baby jesus are them bubbles.... wow, I want another. Its like a party in my mouth and everyone's invited. Having no chocolate syrup turned out to be a good thing. Excellent staff and flavour again. Best Costa ever

Have be fer I don't like Costa.!! Very expensive coffeè, don't rely understand the gimmick or attraction. What ya spend in one day could set ya up for a month if ya made your own 🤷‍♂️. Madness!! Lavazza or illy coffeè far more superior to what Costa uses bean wise. 🧆☕️.. The odd time I'll have a hot chocolate if a friends going an that's again is just the same powder ya can get from any supermarket.

Clean. Staff were friendly but slow. Had a teacake but wasn't hot WiFi hit and miss, only works in certain places. Had to move be away from the window to get my laptop to work.

We pop in for toast & coffee, toast is more often than not rock hard, tastes ok but to crunchy, coffee very bitter not a Costa lover but not many places in Bolton to go

Went here for a hot chocolate one week and the women there were so lovely, got a hot chocolate with soy and a cinnamon bun, they heated the bun up for me and even made me vegan whipped cream, they were nice. Went back a week later and different people were working, the hot chocolate was rubbish and was made with cows milk which made me Ill the cinnamon bun was cold, no vegan cream, the service was okay but they started dragging tables around, putting chairs on tables and sweeping up 2 hours before they closed which was jarring and made people uncomfortable.

I love Costa Coffee, my favourite place to drink. They make coffee and refreshing cold drinks too. The staff are polite and friendly. Place is clean. You can sit outside too

My first visit to this Costa, lovely shop, though it was quite busy it was not too noisy and still lots of space to sit comfortably. Great service, delicious coffee and Sicilian lemon muffin... perfect

Entrance was untidy a good sweep needed, however in coffee shop OK. Staff serving was not impressive, and body language was not at all great, but after 15 minutes waiting to be served, what I wanted to order did after another 15 minutes get my one drink order. Don't think it's ever been of great service at this Costa Coffee establishment, but maybe I'm wrong. I can only give you Google reader my honest opinion. The drink is never hot enough for me, and I wonder if that's a thing that they do in all their coffee shops? But coffee did taste great.

There's something seriously wrong with the staff working here who don't know how to read an uber eats order. 3 times in a row I have ordered 2 of something and only received one! And when they don't have something in stock, they exchange it for something not asked for instead of refunding the money. I don't mind the occasional mess up, but this has been so often that uber eats now think I'm the dodgy one and won't refund me any more.

Tiny Costa drive through. Service good. Staff friendly. Wait tolerable. Products as per any other Costa.

Regularly use this place to meet with friends, family and work colleagues. Always a pleasant , relaxing atmosphere . Staff always serve with a smile and friendly attitude :-)

The Christmas special Toblerone hot chocolate was delicious and I love that you get a mini Toblerone chocolate on the side! This Costa was quiet (though it was early morning) and the staff were very friendly and ensured I got the best out of my experience. I'll always recommend a Costa.
