We were invited out for supper by friends. The food was lovely and the staff were very pleasant.

Had a lovely night here with my wife.theres nothing I could fault with the meal,atmosphere and the service.they made us feel most welcome,very attentive and such a great service all round. Needles to say that I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.such an enjoyable evening.

I went for lunch here yesterday for the first time, and had to wait over half an hour to be seated, even though I had booked. When I went to the bar to ask how long it would be and the lady behind the bar was very rude to me. She had no name tag on but had brown hair and glasses, and basically just didn't want to be there. Safe to say I won't be returning any time soon. The food was ok but was overshadowed by the general experience.

Been coming here for years, they always make me and my family feel so welcome. Always have a good time and brilliant all year round to spend quality time out with the family, have good food at a great location. The staff are all hard working and will go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. Very friendly and welcoming which sets a good atmosphere. Hope to be in again soon!

I would just like to add that its il migliore italian restaurant I have ever been to include the ones actually in roma 😐👍and the whole staff are fantastico. Chow !

Absolute joke !!!! Rang at 1420 to book a table for 1830 and was greeted with no booking made . I showed proof of the phone call on my phone . We were then stood waiting around for 5/10 minutes and then told to get a drink …. LEFT !!!! Shocking service !!!!

We visited 1st Feb 2024. Service was slow, had to ask a couple of times for drinks, and then took some time to appear at the table. The waitresses were friendly and polite. Food was lovely, basic pasta dishes though one of our party had been before and recommended it as they had ordered the Penne de Salmone because of the large chunks of salmon in the dish. However, this time, there were no chunks, only what must be assumed to have tiny flakes of salmon in the dish. The reason for the 3 stars is 2 of our party had bubbly stomachs on their return home, and after powers of deduction worked out, it must have been the Amstel beer. My son, who has worked in the bar industry for a number of years had noted that the beer heads were not what they should have been and remarked that it was now clear the beer lines had not been cleaned thoroughly. I'd recommend extra training in cleaning the lines and the time given to ensure they are upto serviceable use.

We just walked in and luckily they could make room for us. The food, service, atmosphere and staff were all perfect. Would highly recommend.

Booked our daughters 21st meal here for a party of 8. Must say was quite disappointed with the service this time. We had to try to get the waitresses attention numerous times as they seemed to be very short staffed. We had to ask them to sort the cake out and wasn't even offered an option if we wanted it cut or not afterwards. Was basically left to our own devices and also had to wait a long time for the bill , which we was then given a 10% service charge that we wasn't notified about and server didn't even bring the change back. We've never had any issues before and the food I may add was lovely as always. It was just spoilt by the lack of service which we had booked for a special occasion which was a huge disappointment. We always leave a tip but looks like they had took their own with the service charge. It's a shame as we've always gone there and loved the food and the atmosphere, but the lack of service was a huge let down.

Not great, not bad. Average. Friendly service, gluten free options and generally a nice atmosphere, but slow to take our order. Pub standard pizza that was ok. Redeeming factor is there was a magician knocking about who kept us very well entertained.

Called in unexpectedly for the first time, had a drink and pizza for lunch, and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning.

I had my 60th Birthday Celebration at La Roma. It was Amazing! The restaurant and location are beautiful. Food was Amazing. My family and friends had the best time. Rosanna the owner and her Teamiwere so friendly and accommodating. I had the best time celebrating with family and friends Thank you Rosanna!!

Had the sea food risotto, one of my favourite dishes and it didn't disappoint. Very tasty! Service was conscientious but not overbearing. Very enjoyable meal out.

We Booked very last minute for my sons 30th birthday for 22 guest the staff were fantastic the food and service brilliant 👏

Very disappointing Sunday roast. Not remotely value for money. Visited Sunday 8th Oct. £15 for a child sized portion of food, (we ordered and paid for adults. Had to have something else to eat when we got home. The y’pud was a small Auntie Bessy’s sized one so you can get an idea of the portion size.

We usually go here for a meet up with friends every 5- 6 weeks, food is always really good, staff are attentive, it’s a lovely independent restaurant, varied menu too.

Last minute decision to go here for food, highly recommended, hadn't booked but staff accommodated us without hesitation.

La Roma has become a favourite place for family celebrations and we were there recently for my grandson's 9th birthday. They have made some impressive improvements since our last visit - the outside of the building has been really smartened up, the food was even more delicious than before and the service was excellent. The staff even brought in my grandson's dessert with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday to him, without us asking them to. It was such a lovely experience. Full marks, La Roma!

This is our go to restaurant for celebrations and we’ve spent pretty much every one of our anniversaries here. The food is always wonderful and the staff are always friendly.

food is really nice but the restaurant is down a massive hill and is really hard to find! the prices are crazy expensive and the restaurant isn’t open for lunch (!)

Parking is way sufficient with plenty of spaces. The service here is the best in town. It was quite busy at dinner time, though.

The best Italian restaurant in town, the food we had was amazingly very tasty and the service was outstanding despite it being busy. Rosabella was warm, friendly and very welcoming. This was my first time, at this lovely little restaurant, I'll be returning very soon with my family.

Superb meals for 4 in a lovely place. What a discovery. Extensive varied Italian menu from which we chose 4 different meals, which were really nice. Great hostess and very sweet waiting on team.

We arrived and were asked to wait by the bar staff and that there was a 30 minute wait for a table. We sat in the bar area and tried to have a conversation but couldn't even hear ourselves due to some rowdy people sat near us. When it was time for our table we waited by the bar to be shown to the table but the staff just ignored us. Nobody even came to ask if they could help. After standing for 10 minutes we decided to leave and go somewhere else. Complete waste of time, unwelcoming staff and rowdy patrons.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the inconvenience my partner and I experienced during our recent visit to La Roma. Despite having made a reservation well in advance, our table was not ready upon our arrival, and we were compelled to wait in the bar area for approximately 30 minutes. Despite there being empty tables visible when we arrived. This particular incident left us feeling dissatisfied and inconvenienced. The purpose of making a reservation is to ensure a smooth dining experience, and unfortunately, this expectation was not met during our visit. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, we believe that better communication and coordination could have alleviated this situation. A simple notification or estimated wait time would have allowed us to make an informed decision about waiting or exploring alternative options. The extended wait time not only disrupted our evening plans but also resulted in an uncomfortable experience in the crowded bar area. We felt that our valued time as customers was not appropriately respected, considering the prior reservation we had made not to mention the cost of a taxi to and from the restaurant as we decided not to stay for our reservation. We kindly request that you review your reservation management procedures and address the issue to prevent such instances from occurring in the future.

It will be a long time before we visit again after visiting on bank holiday Monday we were told the lunch menu was not available on bank holiday lunches which is ridiculous as you could not purchase a sandwich and there were other tables complaining in fact a group of people left, I am not surprised that the restaurant was empty we thought we would struggle to get a table with it being bank holiday Monday very very disappointing visit.

Cracking gem of a restaurant in Stoneclough/Kearsley area, table of 6 for dinner, I went for the Pizza Proscuitto E Ricola which was beautiful, base was amazing and the toppings were lovely, Rosanna & the team are wonderful hosts and gave us all a shot at the end, Wonderful dinner will be back again

Both me and my dad ordered the black pudding & prawn starter and the sausage & mushroom pasta from the specials. Pure heaven in every bite! Service as ever was superb and always a lovely atmosphere.

Food was outstanding! And they have a fantastic selection of unusual flavoured vodkas, they're a new Bolton based company. It was very very busy so drinks service was a little slow but nothing major. As we visited tea time there was a few noisy families sat near us, so the atmosphere was every so slightly loud. I'd just advise to visit later if you're not into noisy kids. Didn't bother us too much.

Visited this place today for the celebration of a friend's baby it was his 1st birthday. We were a party of 49 people. The staff and service were just excellent and the food was so delicious. Look forward to returning for some more tasty food. x

Excellent. The portions are more than generous. The great menu cannot fail to please. The penne pasta I had for main was cooked to absolute perfection. All 5 stars totally deserved. Helpful, friendly people who are more than happy to add to our lovely evening. We will most definitely return. Enjoy

Valentines Romantico meal. All the staff were very nice polite and created a lovely atmosphere. Candles and Roses on all the tables. Lots of food choices although as a Vegetarian not so which was a shame. The Garlic cheese pittza was gorgeous. The restaurant was on the cool side although we did pick to sit near the kitchen area. When paying for our meal there wasn't an option to add onto our card payment to leave a tip and as we don't carry cash couldn't leave a tip which was a shame. We would definitely come again to this lovely restaurant.

We visited at lunch time mid week, there is probably more atmosphere in the evenings and weekends. Service and food were ok, the setting near the river is very picturesque.

Snuck away off the road is this wonderful welcoming environment. Set on a small historical lake. The family run business is very hospitable and happy to cater for intolerances, whilst still enjoying the Italian cuisine. My mum loves the lamb on a bed of mash potatoes and the house rose wine she swallows with pleasure. Thank you for making our visits enjoyable.

Brilliant place to eat in a relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and top quality food, we dined on Sunday night and it was mad busy, if you want fast food go to McDonald's if you want quality and atmosphere go to La Roma

First time, was after my Auntie's Funeral for lunch and it was wonderful food and service. We booked for the Thursday after Christmas. Lovely meal again, good service, and it was packed from 5pm onwards. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be back soon.

First went about a year ago and said one of the best pizzas ever had, todays was complete opposite, dough was raw and even the starter was tasteless, I’m not one to put reviews but after they still tried charging for the pizza thought I’d put a review on, will never go back and will be telling friends etc to aboid

What an absolute shambles of Christmas Day it was,the food was absolutely horrendous well what food we got, for what we paid day light robbery and won’t be rushing back, they couldn’t of crammed any more people in if they tried.
