The best restaurants in Birtley Gateshead North East

This place has plummeted. The food was an hour late. When it came the boxes were about a third full and nowhere near a reasonable portion. The curry was horrible, like a curry / gravy hybrid. And this is one of the most expensive Chinese around. We won’t be ordering from here again.

Ordered from here before with no issues had great service in past. However this time the food is contaminated with pieces of plastic and something that looks like beef, it is supposed to be gluten free but can't trust this anymore. When calling up to speak to someone about it got offered 1 salt and pepper chicken free next time we order and got questioned as to why we were only just eating it now when the order was placed over an hour ago, no apologies given. Came all the way from Sunderland to collect as never had issues before but doubt we'll be doing it again as just can't be trusted.

A cracking local pub, glad to see reopened and refreshed. Service is always cheery and pleasant, the staff happy to help and friendly. Food was tasty fresh cooked and well priced solid pub grub. Atmosphere feels like a jovial open local, feeling welcoming and open. A great venue to have in the area

Only sized pizza available is tiny and £8.50!!! Arrived burnt and tasted horrible Peri peri chicken wrap doesn't even come with chips, absolutely ridiculous, again absolutely tiny for the money, do not bother ordering from here, pathetic

The food from here is absolutely beautiful. Even though it was 15-20 minutes late it still arrived hot. Will pickup in future but I can't fault the taste and quality.

Here is a list of issues based on the last 3 times I've ordered from here. 1. Missing items every single time 2. Sandwich is crushed and mangled 3. I order the subway steak melt, I would like more than one strip of pepper and 2 slices of onion. 4. Massively overpriced (hardly any filling) 5. Wrong items being delivered. Just useless basically.

Looks like ANOTHER night where Caspian has accepted my order and not delivered. It’s been nearly 2 hours at the time of writing and no answer from the shop… after a 6 month hiatus because of the last no show (that I never got refunded for), it seems nothing has changed… used to be great. What the hell has happened to this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Foods always lovely. There's a lady called Margaret who is amazing with her customers. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are reasonable too.

My son had a cheese and ham toasted only thing he had he was sick for 3days it was food poisoning not a bug Costa would like to thing never eat there people

The worst bacon bun of all time.£6 for burnt bacon and stale white bun. Cappuccino was fine but won’t be ordering food here again

We had crispy onion rings, double wopper, bacon&cheese fries and a hamburger. They where all cooked to perfection. They were very quick to make them.
