You order food, and it doesn't turn up. Total rubbish

Very good food but very expensive ! The printed menu's are out of date and even the website menu prices are way off what is currently charged prices. Portions are also alot smaller than they used to be. I realise ingredients and supplies cost more these days but to pay more (not knowing the price until checking out) and portion sizes considerably reduced, think I will be going elsewhere in the future after being a patron of Sorento for donkey years. Just seems to be greed which will lose customers.

Shrinkflation! House Special Kebab (Shish, Kofte, Donner, Chicken) This brute of a Kebab used to be enough for 2 people, had it recently with a side of chips and I actually thought they had given me the wrong order. About half the size it used to be. At least give people the option of the same price for this shrunk version or the original size but more expensive.

Food is absolutely amazing, pizza's, kebabs, wedges just all round delicious.

Donner meat very poor quality. Kofta awful, greasy and full of gristle;does not taste of lamb at all. Shish kebab was the only thing edible. Such a shame as the food is usually pretty good.

Tasteless. Ordered bolognese pizza. This was nothing like a bolognese. Not sure they know the term bolognese. Used to be great but declined rapidly in recent months. Sadly after quite a few bad takeaways from here I won't be returning.

Delivery appalling 3 hour wait says 1 hour on phone told to hold several times when I called so you Can take other orders more money from people To be left sat waiting. Never ever order from here

Been ordering from sorrento’s for years. The food was always quite nice, however lately it has gone rapidly downhill. I decided to give them another go, only to have my order cancelled within minutes of placing it. I rang them and was told that I had left a negative comment on just eat for a previous order (which I stand by). It seems if you dare to leave a honest review which is anything less than complimentary, they blacklist any future orders. Also the price is absolute daylight robbery-pure greed as there are many takeaways nearby which don’t charge ridiculous prices like Sorrento and actually serve nice food. The pizzas are always full of grease, chips have black bits all over them and are either rock hard or dry, and the owners attitude stinks! Serve decent food and you’ll get decent reviews!!! 🤷‍♀️ AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! (P.S) Caspian and Pacino’s are way better 😊

Ordered from them many times. Then suddenly couldn’t find my address. No delivery driver turned up and hung up on me. Don’t waste your time and money with time wasters.

Quality food, the garlic kebab special is amazing, all the pizzas are really tasty and the kebab meat is very tasty and not bland and greasy like most others. Delivery is always on time. Well recommended.

Ordered from here for years and food has always been lovely, however, they need to take some lessons in customer service as I asked for a Tuna pizza with sweetcorn and garlic only NOT a tuna pizza which has onions on, when my son returned to pick the correct pizza up, the man was really arsey with him! I understand mistakes can be made but absolutely no need to be arsey! tuna pizza, regular chicken kebab and cheesy chips £33 quid! chicken kebab was very dry as well- your loss Sorrento! Also I might add, they have turned their reviews off on their Facebook page! Avoid!

was because I wrote in the delivery comments box "shut my gate this time" the reason he left my gate open or was because I didnt tip him...to be honest! even if he shut my gate I would,n,t tip him...£3.80 for delivery !!!!... I only live 6 streets away I could of had it sent here in a Newtown taxi for less..My mix kebab was DELICIOUS especial the Lamb, will use again

I used to order from here years ago when I was I Birtley at my mates house coz he rated it tho I was never a big fan, years later and hearing others say it nice I thought I'd give it another go. I ordered a bolognese pizza, it was dry as sticks and tasteless without bolognese sauce or tomato base, I had 2 bits and left it (Not like me to leave owt mind) Massive chunks of green pepper (probably 3 full peppers on 1 pizza) I've had better chip shop pizzas ! Worse pizza shop in Birtley nowhere near 'Casa Rosa' or even 'Red Chilli' Deffo not going back !!!

Always use sorrento and normally love the food but delivered cold tonight so had to turn the oven on afterall 😔-still love the food as im a regular but the idea was to be lazy So tonight ordered at 7.15 and rang at 8.30 no delivery-told it was out for delivery-told them of previous cold delivery-rang again at 9.00 was told it was out for delivery-pizza and garlic bread warm but burnt as had been re heated before being sent out-burger and two x chips cold and in bin -my daughter like pizza from here but wasting so much money and having to cook anyway-rang to complain and little interest from guy on the phone

We ordered two Large pizza's last night between 3 people and when they arrived we were surprised as they didn't seem the size of a 12inch. The quality of the pizza's were brilliant though and they tasted lovely. With that in mind I would definitely go back, but just wish the sizes were bigger.

Absolutely the best in the area. Now a shish kebab and pizza don't exactly depict a culinary adventure, but sometimes plain & everyday is what we want. I can guarantee that this place beats the rest hands down everytime. Beautiful food and always well presented. Dont often hear it these days but compliments to the chef and all staff! Thanks & really enjoyed our takeaway.

Usually spot on. Tonight was terrible. Waited 1.50 hours for delivery. Food came was barely warm. Asked for diet coke got full sugar coke. Nothing was right tonight. Terrible from food to service.

Over priced putrid filth. £4.50 for cheesy chips with that bland commercial grated cheese, cheese not melted, chilli sauce like cold tomato soup. Members of staff stare at you like they want to fight you. Dossers.

Why put on just eat you deliver to NE38 when you don't? Tried to phone an order to save the company money and refused to deliver to our post code. Don't waste your time with this takeaway and if I could I would have gave it a zero rating.

Was on holiday from Scotland. Best pizza i have ever had .it was that good i went back the next night for another one. Excellent.

Always great pizzas , burgers and kebabs. The reason for the 3 star is the prices and the fact when making up your own pizzas they have a very unfair way of pricing especially when ordering half half pizzas. I use dominoes quite a lot now as the promotions mean it's far cheaper and you get more for your money. Sorrentos need to be doing this too.... Also when ordering I get told it will take an hour to come which is great and I jump in the bath etc but then 9/10 it comes within 15 mins.

Just paid £20 for food which was delivered cold rang to complain and was told they were cooked and sent straight out however I had to put in oven so we could eat them... not happy and no satisfaction from complaining apart from being told to mention it next time 😡
