Costa Coffee in Gateshead

My son had a cheese and ham toasted only thing he had he was sick for 3days it was food poisoning not a bug Costa would like to thing never eat there people

Two flat white coffees, both tasted of... I'm not sure, but definitely not coffee 😞. What a waste of £7.90, both were poured away.

Went to collect magic bag and both staff members denied ever knowing about it and gave me nothing, so wasted journey, male staff member was quite rude

Getting drinks from this Costa is like a lucky dip, either it’s nice or not. I have however noticed that when I am served by a lovely lady called Maria who tends to do the night shift… the drinks are incredible. We need more Maria’s working at Costa because the drinks she makes are just to die for. Thank you Maria x

Absolutely amazing staff at Costa young lad and young lass gave my child a chocolate medal and baby hot chocolate! Such nice people would 100% recommend and the coffee was soo nice too

Dreadful. Do yourself a favour and visit a local Cafe who will know how to make a cheese and tomato toastie... This is not food...

Stopped on way home to Berwick for a vanilla latte don't know what I got but worst coffee ever tasted burnt and definitely no vanilla in it would have taken it back but was further up A1 before I tasted it

I always grab a Costa coffee if I have the time. This was nice place and the waitress who served us was really friendly. Good Coffee A1

Just had a lovely conversation with the staff member working at the Costa at Washington service station. Had a genuine welcoming attitude even at such an early hour of the morning, really made the morning to our trip

Stopped here late on Sunday evening (10:15pm). No other outlets open at that time so colleague and I went to Costa. Big, no, HUGE rating for the welcome, customer service, pleasant interaction and chatty humour from Charlotte who was on duty on her own. If anyone wants to learn a lesson on how to be the ultimate customer facing representative for a company, they should see Charlotte in action. Cannot fault her love of her job, her customers and her products. If we had a role to be able to employ her we would........instantly! Thank you Charlotte, you are an absolute star! Costa, give this young girl our sincere thanks, and please encourage her to go further, she is an absolute gem of an employee and a superb ambassador for your brand. Stopped here for a decent coffee, served quickly. Decent food, service was quick, sufficient enough. Enough seating available. Busy place

I like Costa but this, for some reason, is a poor outlet. Yes, it’s in a dowdy service station but I’d still expect its ambience to meet the business standards but it didn’t. It seemed grubby

Have to say the staff in here could use some additional training. Their attitude is terrible. I am a regular here and it's not all the staff only a select one or two. Date Wednesday 28th November - 9.00am so morning shift. Attitude is shocking not a smile cups slammed down when asked for a normal cup rather than a latte style tall cup. Coffee just thrown into the cup again no eye contact and a grunt of thank you which I was even surprised to get. If I was the owner of this franchise I would be getting the staff together as it's not fair on the ones doing a good job to be tarnished with the same brush. Should be easy to work out who it was taking into account I have given the date and time In question. There were only two staff I could see at the time.

We visit costa often in various locations sadly at this location the staff who looked like they would rather be somewhere else appeared to have a problem with two skinny cappuccino with caramel. I got back to the car to find the lid of my cup was filthy and both our drinks were wrong. I would not recommend unless you are desperate. You need to buck your ideas up staff and portray the image your company expects....

it is good for if you're travelling long distance and need a break but there are much better places to go for coffee.

Old run down motorway service station

Always like calling in to use the facilities at the services and if feeling like it will get a costa. Todays offering was a Black Forest Hot Chocolate

No staff at counter on arrival.. waited for some time for the barista and no apology for waiting time.. eventually got my coffee after she returned from talking to someone at WH smith by the look of it..

Standard Costa fair, so okay food and coffee, and much better than your other choice here which is a Burger King. BUT The price is insane, almost £4 for a coffee!
