The best restaurants in London

We went for weekend breakfast & it was understandably quite busy so the staff took a while to take our orders. I had pancakes which were very dry. Good thing it came with a few pieces of fresh fruit.

Recommended by others on TA - shows how valuable a Tripadvisor review is. No need for a Michelin Guide or AA Gill or even Gary Eats on YouTube. Full English breakfast produced as described. Felt welcome on arrival. Found a 2 seat bench with a view of TV, the back room has more seats. I’d had to pay £1.50 for extra toast, unable to swap it, that was the only negative. £11 for brekkie with tea which is not bad for an authentic London cafe. The fried slice which I’d wanted to swap was was non greasy and I’d happily eaten it. Ordered cooked eaten and left within 20mins, not needed to eat for the rest of the day. Result. Much better than any option in Euston station. Last time I went upstairs at the station I’d had tramps repeatedly asking me for money which was quite unpleasant.This place was fine. Support a local business rather than a chain and walk 2 mins up Eversholt St to set yourself up nicely for the day! Service isn’t full service but was happy to leave a small tip. Very nice chicken and chips shop and excellent customer service

We have visited the tea rooms on many occasions, this time with family. The corned beef and potato pie was yummy, as was the crab sandwich. Friendly staff. Good service and reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Rarely give 5 stars but this place 100% deserves it. Been twice and both time it was phenomenal, better then a lot of the Italians in town. P.S - Get the prawns to start

I have amended this review after being in touch with the hotel. Originally there had been a disagreement over a cancellation that I had made online. The hotel management reached out to me and actually worked with me to find what I believed was an equitable solution. They did not have to work with me to find a solution, but the front of house manager did so, and that I appreciate as a traveler. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times for work reasons and for weekend trips to London. It delivers a consistent experience - the rooms are clean, coffee facilities in-room up to date, and the bathroom amenities are very nice. I have never heard other travellers in the hotel (there is occasionally noise from the streets, but this might have been an isolated experience over the weekend). If you're traveling for work and need to be near Liverpool Street, this hotel is a very solid option which has delivered a consistent, luxury experience. And I do have to reiterate that the service at this hotel really is above expectation.

Great food and kind servers. The food and the dessert were a 10 out of 10. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to.

Delicious options and a useful stopping place amidst the bustle of central London.

Visited here whilst staying nearby for the weekend. We had a tastecard so had 2 4 1 on all courses. The restaurant was very quiet on arrival (bank holiday Sunday evening) and remained so during the evening. The food was excellent (we had starters and mains each) and came in good time. The service was at times a little slow as it appeared a stock take was going on at the time. We were too full for dessert this time. Loved up to the Bella Italia brand well.

Good quality meats cooked well. Portions are large - the Istanbul special, a platter of grilled meats and peppers on a bed of 2 types of rice with salad and bread, is advertised as being for 2-3 people, but it is big enough for 4. Cost £56 for the special, but we brought home as much as we ate. This has more a cafe feel than a restaurant, but it is attractively decorated. The staff are friendly and efficient.
