This restaurant is in a category of its own. This is for me the essence of fine dining. Minimalist, plethora of tastes, textures, and novel associations, rooted the same time in timeless classics. Fantastic environment, tip, dress-up a little. My star count at the time of the visit was in the 250-300+ range and I am really amazed. Unforgettable experience.

The Lecture Room & Library was simply magical. The ambience channels chic Alice & Wonderland with delightful service and divine cuisine. My partner & I celebrated our engagement here, and it was incredible!! He is vegetarian, and they had an entire vegetarian tasting menu with associated wine pairing options. We highly recommend!

This was a gift from family for a special wedding anniversary. Surprisingly we hadn't heard of it but reading reviews were prepared for an interesting experience. Everything was superb from the first welcome to the farewell. Sketch people are genuinely warm, obviously proud of what they do with everything carried out in an engaging yet professional manner. Every morsel of food was amazing, elevating exceptional ingredients to another level. We were encouraged to visit the other bars and dining options in the venue with someone to show us round. We will return!

This is a good restaurant but I didn't consider it value for money Im afraid. I have had much better experiences at other restaurants with fewer stars. The menu was interesting and the food was very good in the main although my main course was overwhelmed with grey, not that tasty, lentil puree. The cheese course was ok but nothing special. The wine flight was very over priced for some fairly indifferent wine; in fact the last wine was pretty undrinkable. I enjoyed the two basic wines I ordered off the menu, much more. I should say the ambience was lovely the service impeccable with very pleasant staff.

I was taken here for a special birthday surprise lunch. From the attentive and knowledgable staff, food and service, this restaurant did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. The Sommelier was extremely knowledgable and patient with a non red wine drinker and suggested a light red which I enjoyed very much. Food was just sublime from the breads, butter and onto the show case courses, nothing could have topped it. I would love to have the opportunity to return but if this is my one and only visit, I very happy.

Location: (5/5) Located in Mayfair, just on the side of Regent street. Super easy to get to. Ambiance: (5/5) Before arriving to the restaurant I though the colours will be too intense, but while eating I found the decor to be playful and invigorating. I loved discovering the little details in the paintings, the moon like plates and the details of the architecture. The room is quite big and tables are far from each other, so we felt very relaxed. Initially intimidated, but a after a while we felt as if we were sitting in our own living room. Service: (5/5) The host lady was extremely friendly. The waiters were super knowledgeable and a bit over the top (especially when introducing themselves). After some time, I think they picked up that we were there for a special date and wanted time for ourselves, giving us space while still being there for any requests (such as extra bread and questions about the food). I loved when they were setting up and cleaning the table - especially when together and synchronised. Looked like ballet on the table. Spectacular! Food and drink: (5/5) We loved the breads and butters (especially the citrus one!), the salmon with oyster ice cream, sea bream with chickpeas and berries and cheesecake were some of our favourites. The menu perfectly reflected the changing seasons (winter to spring). The food was beautifully presented. We also had a bottle of wine and cocktails. All delicious and complimented the food. We felt extremely full at the end of the meal, but we didn’t want to stop eating. So be prepared to overindulge. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, we were also given a birthday plate at the end. Very thoughtful. Extra (5/5) we were very lucky to meet the head chef who told us about why he got into the cooking business. I loved his beautiful simple story that goes back to his childhood and the passion, modesty and dedication in his words. I definitely see the menu as a reflection of himself and we are very grateful to eat at sketch. It was truly a 3 star experiences. Thank you to the team for making our day!

An exceptional journey of sight, sound, service and culinary art. Nowhere else like it in London no matter how much you pay. The delicious complexity and beauty of each thoughtful morsel is a triumph for the chef and the team. There's a lot of passion and sophisticated project management required in the background in order to effectively deliver such impressive outcomes. Saving up to go back for another fix :)

Great ambience. We had the tasting menu. Every dish was unique and full of effort. Worth the money. They are generous with the serving as well, was too full towards the end of the meal. The desserts were fantastic, there were 6 small desserts so we got to try everything. Service was excellent too!

Absolutely amazing visit to the Lecture Room & Library at Sketch. It was a belated Christmas outing with my business partner but tied in nicely with my birthday being the following day. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived & were kindly found a table in the Parlour for a cocktail before our meal (as we had arrived early). The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding! We loved every minute ❤️

Had a fabulous experience with lunch in the Sketch Lecture Room and library. The whole visit was a delight from start to finish: with delicious pre-starter snacks, plenty of delicious bread and a generous wine allowance with the set lunch, as well as coffee and petit fours. Couldn't fault the service (except perhaps to re-fill our water glasses every time we took a sip!) and everyone was really friendly and determined to help us enjoy the meal. For a 3 michelin star lunch, I thought it was excellent value and really liked the fact that they didn't charge extra for "extra bread".

We had the Valentines tasting menu. It was simply divine. The food is just out of this world. Days later we are still buzzing from such a great night. Big shout out to the staff who are all very attentive & professional, and friendly and natural as well. Too many to remember. This place is a real destination with cool bar and restaurant areas - and the iconic loos, of course. We enjoyed the whole experience immensely and will be coming back. Wenn man hierhin kommt, macht es Sinn sich dem Pierre Gagnaire Konzept anzuvertrauen, das zwar "nur" 3 Gänge beinhaltet, wobei jeder Gang aber aus 3 bis 5 verschiedenen kleinen Gerichten besteht, die sich um das Hauptthema, etwa "Scottish Langoustine" oder "Dover Sole" drehen. Diesmal haben wir dies auch gemacht, anstatt ein Tasting Menu aus 7 oder 8 Gängen zu bestellen und haben es definitiv nicht bereut. Zwischendurch wird es zwar dann relativ voll auf dem Tisch, aber der hervorragende Service hat das immer gut im Griff. Hervorzuheben ist ebenfalls die großartige Weinkarte, aus der unser italienischer Sommelier (Alberto?) uns zwei sehr gute Empfehlungen heraussuchte und dabei auch unter dem von uns gesetzten Budget blieb. Kurz zusammengefasst: fantastisches Essen auf 3 Sterne-Niveau in farbenfroher Umgebung, mal so völlig anders als man es normalerweise in solchen Restaurants kennt.

Great dining experience at Sketch 3 star Michelin, my only bit of feedback is that I was disappointed I did not receive the champagne trolley !!. I only noticed it after I left that everyone else wanted champagne was offered the trolley !!

A top 3 Michelin star restaurant and my favourite place in London. It was here I discovered mixtures of tastes that I didn't know exist. The freshness of the ingredients and the ingenious ways of how they are combined together... special. You could taste the passion, the love and the crafts Chef Daniel and his team put into the incredible dishes. The collection of rare and fine wines is exceptional. Here one could taste wines/liquor that are few in the world and hard to find. The Font of House and Sommelier teams are top. Professional, amazing energy and knowledgable. It's a special place.

The Lecture/Library room was the last of our London 3 Michelin star restaurants to visit. What a waste of time and money. We arrived at 20:00, and had to stand in a cold hallway in order to be taken to our table. There was a couple before us so we had to wait for the escort to come back. A man jumped the queue, when I complained to the receptionist she said it was because his party was already up there; not sure why that means he gets to go ahead of us. When we were seated it took 10 minutes for us to be offered aperitifs, then 10 minutes for the drinks to actually arrive. I was offered a pillow, to help with the uncomfortable chair, and that took 15 minutes to arrive, but only after I chased. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings. The first course didn’t arrive until 20:50!! Which meant I sat there for 20 minutes with no drink - not even offered one. Cutlery would be laid out for the next course, but the course wouldn’t arrive for 10 minutes so we would get all excited and then have to wait. There was no synchronicity between the waiters when the plates were placed down. After the second course, we were offered more bread but it didn’t arrive, so I had to chase. It arrived after the fourth course. The food was hit and miss. The wine was terrible. I didn’t bother finishing the dessert wine. I had to correct our separate intolerances on the confirmation call, and again when we arrived, yet we were still given the wrong dishes. Regardless of stars, how does a restaurant get that so wrong?! Towards the end of the night all we could hear was the thumping music beneath us (from the bar) to the point we mentioned it to the waiter (no response) as it was drowning out the restaurant music. The whole night was so dragged out. I just wanted to leave so I withdrew the “proposed cheese” order, (i.e. would have been charged extra), yet they still brought out a cut down version for my partner - without the crackers that they promised - just more bread 10 minutes later - even though I said we just wanted to wind down, so that delayed the dessert coming out. I was falling asleep at the table. It took 4 hours to serve 6 courses so by the time the ridiculous amount of desserts came out, I told them I wanted to go home and asked for them to put the last course (petit fleur) in a box. After paying, they then bought out a tiny square of Battenberg with a candle (for my birthday). I was so fed up, I proceeded to thump out the candle with the palm of my hand, stood up and left. I have no idea how this restaurant was given 1 star, let alone 3. I have had better service, food and atmosphere at restaurants for a tenth of the price.

We came here for my wife’s birthday, following a recommendation from a friend. Wow! first impressions are amazing, excellent staff engagement and service and a real feast for the eyes. Amazing décor and sumptuous chairs. The toilets are amazing, like a hall of mirrors, mixed with a circus carousel and a jeweller. We had a glass of champagne to start with, and all information given to the front desk was relayed to the waiting staff and to further down the line. It was mentioned several times during the evening that it was my wife’s birthday and asked what part of Ireland she is from. We had the normal and vegetarian tasting menus. Both amazing, massive attention to detail, complex flavours, and textures. We have been to some amazing restaurants over the years, but I have never seen my wife so appreciative and excited by her food. Comments were made to the waiters about telling the chef about how amazing the vegetarian food was. A little later we were invited to meet Chef Daniel and my wife was given the opportunity to complement him on his market-leading vegetarian food. After the Grand Dessert, Jane was presented with a small but immaculate chocolate cake with a candle, with “Happy Birthday, Jane”, written on the plate. You normally get just “Happy Birthday”. We were totally encased in a perfect bubble of food, service and wonderfulness, and can’t praise the restaurant enough.

A great theatrical production! A wonderful birthday treat for my partner who enjoyed every moment. Service thoughtful and prompt without rush or fuss. Food obviously nonpareil

This was quite simply the most mind-blowing meal I've had. Sensationally different and with service that was impeccable. I didn't think food could be like this. Quite a revelation.

Exceptionelles experiences (x2) avec le chef Daniel Stucki et toute son equipe. La gentillesse et la prevenance de Alessandro, son equipe au diapason, une tres grande précision dans tout, absolument tout. L’esprit du chez Gagnaire est partout, l’exceptionnelle presentation des mets, le temps s’arrete et vs vs sétez à la maison (et quelle maison !!!!). Prenez le temps de lever la tete de l’assiette, le spectacle est aussi dans la decoration de cette salle sublime. À tres bientôt !!!

Stunningly delicious food and excellent service. My husband and I had a wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The quiet, slick ambiance was very relaxing and the decor beautiful. We’ll definitely visit again.

What can I say? Wow, what a wonderous, wonderful experience. My friends took me here for my birthday and one dish after another was superb, well thought out and executed. Clever, exciting and chockfull of layers upon layers of taste. The most beautiful restaurant I had ever been upto that night. (Though, the Glade, also a Sketch restaurant is quite the competition, but with a very different atmosphere). The front staff is funny, warm, knowledgeable and they are gracious hosts in any way imaginable We had a non alcoholic drink pairing, consisting out of wines, juices and mocktails, which I can recommend. (But please, trust the sommelier’s expertise more than my words) As for the dishes in our tasting menu, I can’t even begin to rank the dishes let alone point out a favorite. Honorable mentions: the oyster ice cream with the salmon dish, Heirloom tomato with a side of Oliveoil icecream with figs, ‘Dodo’ lobster bisque, Cod with a side of bluefin tuna tartare, Pierre Gagnaire’s grand dessert and the cutest (and tastiest) personalised birthday dessert. Sketch as a whole made me feel like I had stumbled into wonderland and the magical staff, fairy tale interior and food fit for a queen made it an enchanted evening to cherish and remember.

This restaurant has everything - beautifully designed dining room, crazy blingtastic loos, wonderful service, fabulous food and wine. We absolutely loved it, if I had unlimited wealth I’d be there all the time ♥️

This is a 5 star review. I cannot praise them enough. The grand gestures from staff match the whole Sketch vibe, service is near perfect, and the food (non vegetarian tasting menu) might be the best I've ever had. Everything here is grandiose. And as a normal human being (not a food critic), the food was both novel and familiar. You will understand when you come here. Mini spoiler alert: every course is like 3 separate plates. So full courses + snacks = roughly 30 plates or containers. I overheard many diners getting full before dessert. Come hungry and ready to eat. For those who care about atmosphere, it has a very fantasy ballroom like feel. Like Alice in Wonderland. For those who love taking photos, the lighting here is very good without being too harsh. The seating is all fancy couch armchairs. Don't worry, these couches still give you good posture somehow and are very comfortable. Someone will push it in perfectly. If you have ever gone skiing before, it is like sitting into a ski lift chair - let the staff push the chair in and then simply fall into the armchair. Regarding clothing, you will definitely find most diners in suits or dresses. But don't worry, there will also be others in t shirts and casual wear who just finished sightseeing. Spoiler alert: check out the dessert below (there are no drinks on the table, everything is part of the dessert, no phone lighting or settings were used - everything is natural) I spent maybe 250 pounds, and that included an extra glass of vintage cider as well as bottled water. For those who know, this is on the cheaper end. For those who don't, trust me, this is excellent value. Part of me feels like I paid too little. Happy eating!
