I’ve been in the club and restaurant before and had a fantastic experience, but last Friday the host blocked me and sent me home to change. He wouldn’t let me in because I was wearing a long skirt, top and blazer. My outfit was elegant so I was disappointed and ashamed as my friends were inside waiting for me and I couldn’t get in. I left, changed and came back. When I was in the club there were so many girls with short dress, belly out and no elegance at all. I didn’t understand why he didn’t let me in. I did check the dress code after and he had no reason to not let me in. I’m very disappointed with the reception team. But a big thanks to the security team who were very polite and smiling, they made me feel very welcome and treated me with respect and kindness. They should teach the reception team ;) just a thought.

Love this place! I have yet to come back and visit after the refurb, but the vibes of this place.....love it!

What a stunning premium private club, lovely place with hype atmosphere, elegantly designed with a perfect blend of classic and modern aesthetics. Two private events were arranged for a VIP high profile family where professionalism and top-notch service were there at all moments. Loved the staff, they are not only professional but also genuinely friendly, ensuring that every need is met promptly and with a smile. Special thanks for Michaella's arrangements from A to Z, for Antonia's nice and professional welcome. Adam and Francesco were highly professional. Daria was great also. In short, a marvellous team with plenty of positive energy and high standards. Finally, the biggest thanks to the chef in charge of the lovely canapés and dishes. I was particularly impressed with the chef's special dishes, which showcased creativity and a mastery of culinary arts. Really, Annabel’s chef deserves the 5***** In summary, Annabel’s is more than just a premium private club; it’s a perfect mix of luxury, and relaxation. It is a place where every visit is a memorable one, and where members can truly feel at home. For sure, all future private events will land in that club.

Beautiful design, strange atmosphere. Dinner was lovely in the Italian restaurant, loved the staff, the food fine. In the club and other areas it is a lot of older men and younger women dressed in overtly sexy attire. It made for a strange atmosphere and the many compliments I got from older men made me very uncomfortable. If you are looking for a sugar-daddy this is the place for you. Still worthwhile to go once just to ogle at the design. That rose quarts bar was incredible, the hand-made glass lights, the wall paintings, the intricate mosaics, the whole space is a visual delight.

Not as cool as it used to be but still worth it

I love this place. The food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The Service is excellent The cigar lounge is my favorite after the meal as they have a great selection of Cigar and the Guys working there are usually friendly and help you find the best cigar to smoke. MANAGEMENT TEAM SHOULD ADDRESS RUDENESS FROM RECEPTION STAFF and racism (the behaviour of reception staff has been mentioned in many other reviews too) We had a delicious dinner at the club and the different designs of each room were very pretty, especially the mosaic within ladies bathroom. However, something ruined the experience. My main issue was with a specific female employee wearing a yellow jacket, she has long curly dark brown hair and stands next to the reception holding an ipad. She was extremely rude to a guest in our group. Our guest was trying to ask for her jacket back from the cloak room, but the employee kept saying she could not find it, despite another employee having found the cloak quite easily later on. Her attitude in the situation outright lacked manners, she plainly implied it was our problem and not her issue, to a guest! Even the employee next to her could not stand her behaviour and stood up for us to help retrieve the jacket from the cloak room. I would like to clarify that the other employees were absolutely lovely, the woman was the only one we had issues with. I would suggest that someone have a word with her soon before she ruins anyone else's experience.

We were also lucky enough to be invited. The dinner was great, very dignified and of high quality. The waiters were also very nice, although strict about the photos. The club itself is very large and very stylishly furnished. The only deductions are for the music, which could have been better as there was no real dancing mood - but we probably didn't stay long enough either!

Outstanding in every way! Amazing! The place to be!

Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful, prestious members club and I understand why the queen used to visit its club. But outside of night time hours, there is absolutely no-one in there. It's a ghost house all the way up until sunset, which is a big shame as its got so many beautiful rooms and kitchens. The club and bar are a 100% must visit if you know a member, and definitly worth the price tag of the members fee. Obviously no photos unless you guys want to see some toilet photos, but interior changes every 1-3months.

We had a wonderful time dinning with friends in the gorgeous garden restaurant. Good food and great service. The decor of club is fabulous. Music in the basement was a little questionable but that is subjective.

What an overpriced cesspit of terrible food and awful people. Honestly the worse night I’ve had in a long time. And, this ridiculous rule where men must where a jacket at all times, even when seated and eating is only about one thing: control. It serves zero purpose. Pathetic people. Pathetic place.

Very upmarket eatery in Mayfair. Annabel's was founded in 1963 after Birley's friend John Aspinall decided that they needed somewhere to party after an evening's gambling. As a result, Birley turned the basement of Aspinall's casino, the Clermont Club, into a nightclub, and named it after his then-wife, Annabel, who went on to marry Birley's friend, Sir James Goldsmith. Annabel's was a members-only nightclub. In 2003, Queen Elizabeth II visited the club, and it is thought to be the only nightclub that she has ever visited. In an interview on The Merv Griffin Show (broadcast November 2nd 1981) Karen Carpenter states that she met Olivia Newton-John there in 1971 and they formed a life-long friendship until her death on February 4th 1983. Entertainers who have performed there include Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, Bryan Ferry and Lady Gaga.

Annabel's is delightful! Yes, it's very expensive, but the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. The grilled sole was perfection, and the fried salt and pepper squid was excellent. The truffle pizza was delicious. We were invited by members, and it quite a treat! If you get the opportunity - go! It's a a wonderful experience.

Every year during special days such as Halloween, Christmas Annabel decorate their front facade. This year's mask was cool. Better than last year.

I was there last weekend for the Halloween night. Some lady was trying to steal my purse in the bathroom. She took my bag from the ottoman while I was washing my hands waiting for me to leave or talking to my friend. I screamed like crazy looking my bag then I saw it with her while she was very quiet ( the bathroom is small) I took my bag from her I screamed at her why u took it? She answered in a very calm way “ I was taking a picture with it” !!!!! Seriously without asking a permission.. I was super angry.. now I regretted I didn’t tell the security. But I’m sure with cctv can find out who she is and with who she came with since it’s a private club. It was a bad experience for me. I thought the ppl who come here are from a certain class which I would never except something like that!! Be aware … even in Annabel’s ppl can steal you..

URGENT MESSAGE FOR MANAGMENT... START REPLYING BACK TO YOUR BAD REVIEWS AS THEY ARE A TRUE REFLECTION OF HOW YOU DONT TEACH YOUR STAFF HOW TO ACT IT SEEMS.. you should investigate this and ask your doormen to be helpful with a smile and courteous; as opposed to being prejudiced towards people who they think are not their members. These type of guys should not be employed... especially when they are at the front door facing the outside world. Looking at many of the reviews.. the same experience was received with the rude staff members. This should be addressed by management and they need to emply good quality staff... not rude bouncers... afterall they are uneducated, poorly mannered bouncers with no manners it seems. Shame for such an establishment. Expecting to see an improvment next time... word of mouth spreads around like wild fire. You guys need to train your rubbish mannered staff. Vet them before you employ them as it gives a poor impression of your institution... it willl go a long way. I expect to receive a reply back to this in order to know what you are going to do about this. This is how bad it was...We didnt even try to go inside as we were just passing by and got a glimpse of your rude staff....On 1st November at closing time of the club, we approached the club in the car to ask a question about an enquiry. It was raining and we couldnt get out of the car. One of the doormen was not polite at all. 2 doormen were standing in the rain outside the main doors with their umbrellas open for the entire night, so they were already standing in the rain already holding umbrellas... In front of us ( 2 metres away from the fron door) the stocky doorman came in front of our car to assit a lady to get into the car in front by holding his umbrella. When stopping outside and pulling the window down I asked him a question regarding the club... instead of coming to the car, the doorman just stayed where he was, smirking and said I cant hear you mate...or something similar by signalling his hand next to his ear.. I asked him to come to the car instead (politely) so that I can ask him something... (as he had just done the same by approaching the car in front) . He then was rude and told me to park, get out of the car in the rain and come to talk to him when he clearly already assited someone a minute ago by appraching their car in the rain with his umbrella. Having second thoughts about investing in this club and membership as the staff member was extremely rude and unhelpful.

Lucky enough to be invited for Sunday lunch. Wonderful setting, so many staff on hand, which was handy because every table in the courtyard was taken. Host was vegan so was polite enough to follow suit. Vegan burger was excellent and various other dishes that we shared interesting and tasty. Wandered around some of the building, nicely appointed and oozed playful luxury.A great experience.

It’s absolutely beautiful except for the door policy in the evening. They keep saying no sneakers so you refuse friends then the whole place is wearing sneakers. The garden and Matteo’s restaurant are my favourites. The food is excellent in Matteo’s (on another level) but so so in the rest of the club. The garden cocktail bar is the cutest place in the world (probably).

( if it was my front office Desk - I would have sacked her on The SPOT ).. not only utterly Rude, but as well insulted my partner by saying her Top was too Cropped ( Welcome To The Monastery Kids ) !... She was offered to wear sweaty Jacket on the Top of her shoulders to cover herself up ... Needless to say we are middle age couple..it was so Hot inside and we end it up carrying That Jacker all the evening ! This Place was Full of Women wearing Skimpy Dresses ... Welcome to Jokers Paradise kids - the place which calls itself Celebrity Playground looks far away from the place to have fun. We felt being patrolled all the time by the staff. This Place is full of snobbish Indian and Pakistani men pretending WHITE and RICH ... judging you from far away having their One drink and Only whole evening long .. My Wife was refused a drink when I went to the male bathroom claiming member was not present, we wear regular guests since opening the club. We left earlier then we planned... dumped my Green Card In a bin this morning,...

Love Annabel’s and as always it continues to be one of the best clubs on the planet a great choice for my Birthday. Right at first moment entering hit by the amazing attention to detail oozing so much magic. My visual senses stimulated excited calm and sensual all processed to satisfaction including the smells the tastes the air, these are just the beginnings. The people the atmosphere the ambiance could not be warmer including a triumph to the food. This place is my bag, as much as I would love to recommend Annabel’s I can’t because it is Private. It is exclusive to members only.

Generally good service, a few slip ups but quality of food really average at best and I think poor. I was sick afterwards. Chips were tasteless and over cooked. Fish fillet bland and tasteless. Really no flavour. Fried squid had some flavour but not as they should be. Green beans artichoke and tomato, bland zero seasoning. Undercooked beans. Tiny sliver of tomato. 2 small pieces of artichoke. I was so disappointed and as I was a guest I could not say anything. but poor for what this should have been.

I only went there because of the name. I thought it was like a scary movie. But no, it's too cute 😂

Amazing private club with many restaurants, visited on invitation from a dear friend for lunch, so elegant and classy with high standards. Members are highly educated, well respected, the restaurant’s garden is amazing, be sure to reserve seating there, all walls are decorated with amazing artwork, you can not stop enjoying their details. Finally be aware that using your phone while seared is prohibited and be sure to check the dress code as lunch and dinner has different codes.. enjoy!

Having come here with my family to celebrate a special occassion, I was extremely surprised by the rudeness of the staff. From the receptionist to the “manager”, the staff have no regard for its members. Not to mention, having been a member for over 5 years I can see the club becoming less and less busy. It’s a sad fact for a club I used to enjoy frequenting. Avoid, there are far superior alternatives in London.

The place is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. I was a bit worried (since I am a guest!) after reading some negative reviews about how poorly the staff treated customers, but I had a delightful & pleasant coffee morning.

Excellent venue and Lychee martini 🍸 was delicious! The staff was amazing from the moment I got out of the car till the end when I was leaving just after midnight. I would have stayed longer if it wasn't because of an early Eurostar to catch the next day. Excellent dining area in the garden and all the dishes we had were so well presented and prepared! Great wine list. Check the dress code prior to your visit and no pics nor phone within the establishment. Not even answering a phone call which I accidentally forgot about and picked up a call. 🤣 The waitress was kindly reminded me at the dinner table. People talked about the lavatories a lot and indeed, it's on a different level.

Hello i have read all the reviews and i would really like to go to annabels, however i was told over the phone I am not able to go as i am not a member and must be referred by another member inorder for my to sign up for the membership. Any ideas on how i can go in

Family lunch on Father's Day fantastic menu and excellent faultless service especially as our legend Father and grandpa and great grandpa joined us hepled by the outstanding staff !!! being 97 yrs old he's treated like a king 🤴 Mr Caring makes sure he will.always be helped and looked after ! Also all the Dads were given the most generous gift of a smythson notebook shot of whiskey and a very expensive mens face cream how thoughtful and most generous of Annabels thk u again for a most memorable luncheon

I visited this place as a guest. Since this club is very famous and super expensive to join I had high expectations, however I was quite disappointed. The decorations were the best part, and the cocktails are good, however I'm leaving 2 stars because the service was very poor. The dress code is applied no matter what, so it doesn't matter if it's 30 degrees hot, you have to wear a jacket. You are not allowed to take photos inside. I can understand the need for privacy and secrecy but at least set up a photo corner! But the worst part is if you don't order drink after drink they look at you funny, make faces and embarrass you. Very rude and made me feel uncomfortable in front of my very important host. If you have the privilege to spend so much on a place, I suggest you find somewhere where they treat like royalty, or even better, like a friend. Apparently the managers were so focused on decorations that they forgot what truly matters.

The new site is a vast improvement on the old one. I always found that the old one was a bit leaky and stuffy. Great parties, events, speakers and production

Absolutely stunning the interior is just as pretty as the decorative exterior of the building. Especially the toilets, it was floral / carousel themed there were pastel coloured roses everywhere! An amazing experience. and of course the toilets were the best

I went for some cocktails with my friend at Annabel's last week and we had the pleasure of Milan Ndoro bringing our drinks, she was very polite and extremely helpful and I was very surprised to learn from her that she has only be working at the bar for a few weeks! Keep up the excellent work Milan!

Tonight, I went to Annabel’s and it was embarrassing and frustrating. The staff at the reception were rude and they don’t have manners with their guests. The lady with the glasses at the reception, at first, already looked at the me with the most unhappy face, asked which table I was and then said I couldn’t go in, as ‘my outfit was not accordingly to the restaurant’s dress code’; as I was checking my phone to speak with my friends who were inside and share the news, she told me to ‘leave as I was disturbing new costumers space’ (there was no one behind me) To add, my skirt was same length as the girl next to me who went in. If they thought I was not dressed accordingly to the dress code, I wouldn’t react against that, if they knew how to speak and don’t treat their guests as criminals and make them feel shy in front of others. They should be trained to deal with their clients in a harmonious way, it inspires customers loyalty and make employees job easier. Sad experience.

Loulou Thursday, Anabelle Saturday. Super crowded and same people for years. The Mexican the Japanese and the garden all have excellent excellent food. Service is excellent, food drinks and membership are all well priced.

Amazing decor. Attended a private dinner with a pre-selected set menu choice. This was just average.

Beautiful place with great DJs thought the night. The cocktails I had wasn’t really good and definitely not worth the price. People were classy and friendly. If you get a chance, you should go.

Amazing place, good location and absolutely delicious food !

I often go here for breakfast with friends or business and lov the place. Nice atmosphere and great service...food is excellent too. We had a egg white omlette with halloumi and kale; and egg Benedict....I had the omlette which was super tasty and pleasantly surprised by the halloumi as that is not one of my favs. Went a bit crazy on the ginger shots...but it did little for my cold

The minute you walk in you’ll fall into this Private club. Make sure you’ve got your dinner jacket and heels on. Their huge tall ceilings with carpeted stairs take you back to an ancient Victorian age but with sophisticated & contemporary touch to the interiors. The food is very well presented and tasty for the price you pay. Even their men’s & women’s room have fireplace with live fire, how exciting. Staffs are super friendly and will look after you very well. Definitely would recommend if you’re in Soho!!

Pre-drinks for a friends birthday. We all loved the Japanese room. Gorgeous decor and beautiful restrooms. Had a nice evening. Though, felt the drinks were extremely overpriced for what you get. Hardly much wine in the glass for a typical glass of wine (large volume) and the cocktail list was limited. More whisky and gin based options. Variety sells and so does larger volumes. Service on the other hand was very adequate and the waiters were pleasant and helpful in reference to recommendations. I maybe back one day.
