Nice Thai food close to home , would come back

We had a Thai person in our party who thought the food was authentic. Not cheap, likely owing to the location. The Pad Sa Tor was good🌶️🌶️🌶️ The Gang Som only had a small piece of seabass and didn’t like it much either. Dessert was ok.

Honestly, I've loved Thai cuisine for many years, but when I tasted my first dish (Moo Hong) at Supawan, I felt I was eating Thai food for the very first time; falling in love with it all over again. Located in a shared space with a wonderful florist, and with its walls adorned with beautiful and interesting artwork, Supawan is a calm oasis of sensory bliss just 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of King's Cross St Pancras. It's not cheap (good food rarely is), but for the quality of food and service, it's worth every penny.

Randomly found this Thai restaurant, and from the simple exterior, I wasn’t expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised—the interior decor is absolutely stunning! The staff were friendly, and the service was great. As for the food, I think it really depends on the dish or personal taste. We ordered three dishes: the Tom Yum and the chicken were amazing, but we didn’t find the beef curry very enjoyable. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but overall, the experience was still worth it. I’d definitely come back to try more dishes from the menu and to enjoy the beautiful decor again! 🔥✨

Took away food order from here, excellent curries. Tasted authentic, it’s not cheap but the portions size justified the price. Will come dine in next time. Recommend dad’s curry but mind you it’s so spicy.

Simply horrible. It’s way too overpriced £23? For flavourless chicken and noodles. Their service was horrible too, a dirty plate from previous customers was given to me from which I had to eat my sub par meal from as well the waiter placing the plate bluntly on the table. Wouldn’t recommend at all. There’s much better places which are affordable and are much superior in taste. Definitely not worth the £30 I spent for a plate of food and drink..

Authentic And quality thai food

Supawan Thai Food has been recognized as one of the best Thai restaurants in London and I can see why!! The owner and executive chef, Wichet Khongphoon, offers us a menu with the wonderful dishes of his youth, through which we can taste the authentic flavors of Thailand. The restaurant is warm and friendly, greenery is at the center of the decoration, the “Plants” room is magnificent. The staff is welcoming, courteous, friendly, smiling and the service, The menu offers several choices, the dishes are generous and the food is tasty. I LOVED my experience! Very good and autnehtic Thai food. Cosy to sit, not cheap but worth it.

Excellent restaurant, very friendly staff and the food was amazing.

The pork belly was fantastic, and the prawn sarong dish. Service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant has some tables in the next door florist shop (!) which is a nice feature.

I'm afraid I thought it was good but overpriced say compared to Rosa's Thai ,very close. Thai food is generally more expensive ...but

Staff were very friendly and accommodated our seating location request. They helped explain some of the dishes and the levels of spice. Sitting in the “plant” room was very cool. Highly recommend Dad’s Beef Curry and the broccoli with soy and garlic!

Maybe the best Thai in London! Delicious dishes, the crab curry was amazing and the chilli margarita, perfection! Service was fantastic, what a gem!

Just happened to stumble upon this place because the restaurant we intended to go to had a long que. And now I think I have found my fav Thai restaurant in London Service was amazing, And the food was just excellent. We ordered the pork curry with rice , and the stuffed chicken wings, and the veg crispy rice salad. I can’t complain on any item, they were all equally delicious.

If only I could give zero star. Definitely the worst Thai restaurant I have been to. Walked in before 5pm and it was quite empty. One of the staffs was eating near the entrance and the other one was standing near the door. No body acknowledged us. We went to the counter and took the menu as we wanted to take get takeaway. Again two staffs walked past and saw us but did not bother to acknowledge us. Had a look at the menu and the prices definitely do not match the ambience and the terrible attitude of the staffs. Pad Thai is 23.50, morning glory is 15. We just walked out without ordering. And of course the staffs just ignored us. Will definitely not visit nor recommend anyone this restaurant

They brought tap water out as we sat down. This should be the standard. Food was good and they reduced the amount of spice for my dish.

The atmosphere and environment of the restaurant is very pleasant. Plenty of greenery to set a nice scene. The customer service was also very good so worth the optional service charge. They bring tap water directly to your table without asking. The food itself wasn’t my cup of tea, especially the somewhat limited veg options. But more personal preference, as it was displayed nicely and looked appetising. Also quite pricy.

Desde la cálida y amable bienvenida, a la atractiva decoración llena de plantas, a la deliciosa comida sabrosa, todo sobre mi primera visita a Supawan fue 5 * Pedí curry de ternera de papá (principalmente porque me encantó el nombre! ) Estaba repleto de sabor, lo suficientemente picante como para hacerme cosquillear los labios, pero nunca abrumador. La carne estaba perfectamente tierna, ni una pieza masticable. Un gran plato. Mi compañera vegetariana tenía un plato de tofu al vapor que ella era muy elogioso. Para el postre los dos elegimos helado, coco y caramelo salado para mí, semilla de sésamo negro para ella. Excelente y la manera ideal de completar nuestro encantador almuerzo. Mi primera visita, pero definitivamente no la última. Si te encuentras en Kings Cross, asegúrate de visitarnos. ¡No te arrepentirás!

A great Thai restaurant with lots of options. Slightly expensive.

The food is always excellent here. Very different from most Thai restaurants in London. The food can be quite spicy, which we all loved but beware if you can’t eat hot food. I managed to eat a whole chilli by accident and my tongue was burning for ages 😆 We had a fantastic time but it was utterly freezing in the restaurant so choose your table carefully.

Took clients here for lunch, and it was really tasty and authentic. We shared a few starters (corn fritters 'yum' and aubergine 'ok') and had each a different main (pad thai, green curry and dad's beef curry - all delicious and full of flavour). Sadly, the service wasn't as great. Our starters arrived, and my guest got his main as we haven't even finished the starters, so it was all hectic. Two of us also got our main quite a little later. So, it's not the best experience in that sense, but the food is great and the restaurant lovely and different. I would maybe order for takeout in future.

Went for dinner here the food was great. We had the prawn pad thai, the moo hong as well as the sweet corn fritters. I would recommend all three dishes! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also great as the owners also operate a flower shop which makes the ambiance quite unique and interesting. Worth a visit!!!

Fantastic Thai restaurant. Green lush vegetation, comfortable seats and friendly staff. We had mostly drinks and nibbles before heading somewhere else but we loved the cocktail flavors and presentations. We will definitely be making a come back

Extremely overpriced. The morning glory was £15!! And if you go to an Asian supermarket you'll pay 3 quid for a bunch of morning glory which you can cook yourself. Also, the pad krapow doesn't come with egg, as the dish usually does, so we were charged £5.50 for 2 fried eggs, and one of them was overdone. There's better and cheaper Thai restaurants in London

Eaten here twice now and the meals have been excellent both times. Friendly but fast-paced restaurant that does its best to fit you in.

Place we went as there was no other options but it was great choice :) best prawn pad Thai I’ve ever had! So tasty 🤤

Amazing restaurant I love the decor. We try many dishes most of them was fantastic very authentic, but I didn't like the panThai, it was something bitter inside and the beef curry the some of the meat was chewy.

What an excellent place. Best Thai food we've had for years. One of our party said it was as good as the best food they had had in Thailand. And they were lovely. Very careful to check our allergies and took our coeliac needs all very seriously. Will definitely be back!!!

I ordered takeaway on Deliveroo from here and the food was amazing. The penang curry had a good kick to it and the Meiang phuket was super interesting and full of flavour. Definitely the best Thai I have ever had and I look forward to trying all of their other dishes and to visit the restaurant in person!

It’s lovely food. But it’s expensive. £90 for two for lunch - no booze. Also rather cold in there.

Delicious dinner, just the right level of spice. Amazing cocktails and a lovely relaxed vibe. Thanks to Nial for excellent service. Definitely go again of in the area.

By far one of the best Thai food experiences in London - love the ambiance, the service, the flavours. Only thing is that some things are ridiculously expensive- like side dishes and teas. But all else it worth the price

I really enjoyed the prawn salad we ordered, but the satay chicken was slightly too dry. The service was fine, though the kitchen staff were a bit noisy, as we could hear them from our table. Atmosphere-wise, it wasn’t too bad overall.

A fabulous lunch had at Superwan. The food, as always is authenic and the service exemplary. Has to be up there as one of the best Thai restuarants in London.

Better than your average Thai. It’s good they have non typical dishes. Bit pricey. Enjoyed the meal but didn’t give 5 stars cause we felt the flavours are adapted to western crowd (not as punchy as our favourite Thai).

absolutely incredible thai food. perfect meal from start to finish. - everything was delicious especially the duck, fresh white turmeric salad the grilled prawns and the pandan pancakes. cocktails delicious especially the hibiscus martini 😍 will be back for sure! also great with my nut alllergy fantastic 10/10

Best Thai I've had in London for a long time

The food was good, although perhaps on the pricier end of things. The service felt fairly rushed. There was a consistent clearing of things before everyone had finished.

My wife and I have eaten here twice, and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere both times. Part of the restaurant is a flower shop during the day, and it's a lovely place to sit in the evening, surrounded by plants. The food is excellent, and occasionally - for us - unusual. The corn fritter starter is spicy and delicious, and the aubergine starter is also very tasty. My wife really enjoyed her sea bass, and my Pad Thai was excellent. The price is fair for the quality, and the service is fast and friendly. We're looking forward to returning next time we're in the area.

The food is on point, although a bit pricey. Really delicious pad thai and the peanut satay chicken skewers were really good. The interiors were so beautiful, lot of plants, flowers and random intricate statues scattered throughout. The place was jam-packed but service was fantastic.

Really authentic, quality is very consistent amongst all the dishes we tried, the chicken curry was top-notch! It is generally more expensive than other Thai restaurants but the quality is worth it! The seasame ice-cream with sticky rice is amazing Would definitely come again

The best Thai food with the freshest ingredients. The food and the venue are amazing. Eat at this restaurant you will not regret it. Such a tasty lovely meal.

Excellent Thai food. The chilli ratings can be irrelevant as on two different occasions I ordered two different curries (one of them being Thai green curry) with the same 3 chilli rating but the green curry was not remotely spicy whereas the o the curry was off the charts spicy. But apart from that the quality of food is great

Visited Supawan Thai, near King's Cross (based on a recommended restaurant from Nigella Lawson via her Instagram). The Sweetcorn fritta with Tamarind sauce and Chicken Pad Thai are amazing, as are the staff and ambience. I would suggest, however, that the Pad Thai be a shared noodle dish to accompany another main - but for a minimum of two person - as opposed to what I did have have it as a main course on its own.

I’d seen this on Masterchef and it looked so good I definitely was NOT disappointed Inside of the restaurant is very cool A really good menu with lots of variety But I wanted to try the Pad Thai 🇹🇭 Not something that I would normally order in Thai This was excellent Lots of prawns and tofu ..it was superb ☺️

Lovely interior. It shares space with a flower shop which becomes part of the restaurant in the evening. The first thing I noticed about this restaurant was how expensive the dishes were compared to standard Thai restaurants so I was expecting very high quality service and food. We got off to a good start with what was probably the only good dish we had; sweetcorn fritters for starters. The main courses were poor and small considering the price. We had asked for 3 sides of rice and had to repeat our order on 3 occasions. Our mains were presented to us without any rice which was very irritating.

The food tastes okay, the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed, and the reception staff are very kind. (If two people are having a dinner together, I think 2 main dishes and 2 servings of rice are enough)

Il servizio è eccellente e attento anche a suggerire le portate in caso di richieste. La location è molto bella, e in particolare una stanza e’ adornata con bellissime piante. Overpriced rip-off, everyone squashed in quarter of restaurant - tiny bowl of rice £4, compulsory service charge which is illegal. Nothing like food in Thailand - just alright - mediocre hipster experience typical of this heavily touristy, hipster area. Not enough vegan choices just obsessed with meat dishes so they can charge the most. Better to find somewhere more cheaper, genuine and authentic than this hipster rip-off racket run by men - nothing wrong with men but prefer authentic Thai restaurants where women front the restaurant and can earn a wage and have feeling of a more balanced society. Cue six million meat-obsessed haters who will say how great the restaurant is. You pay your money you take your choice but don't expect much quantity or excellence here.

Small, Thai restaurant with the great floral settings. We have been 3 times in this restaurant across 2 weeks which is showing how good it is. The dishes are not same as you would be getting in more mainstream restaurants, the are very authentic and super tasty. Selection is very good, not too many options which makes it easier to choose from nad it's super fresh. The lady who it's running it it's super helpful and polite, the staff it's also attentive but not overdone. We have been asked about allergies and preferences to help to choose and we have not been disappointed. We will be back.

Absolutely beautiful Thai food, everything tasting fresh and vibrant and homemade. The setting in a florist's shop just adds to what a lovely and relaxed environment it is. Particularly recommend the curries, especially the pork belly and stinky bean.

Small, busy and buzzy. This Thai restaurant is fabulous. My friends took me here and I thoroughly enjoyed every dish. I’ve lost count of how many trips to Thailand I’ve been on and the food was exactly how I remember it. The waiter was very efficient and friendly, the manager was lovely too. She made us feel very welcome. I’ll definitely be back again.

A pleasant place, the combination of a restaurant surrounded by plants from the flower shop is wonderful, the service is so kind and the food - wow. We ordered a crispy rice salad which was amazing, an appetizer of oysters and noodles for a main course (which was too sweet for our taste but still excellent). Including a tip we paid 50 Pound, was worth it.

Quiet during a weekday. Nicely so. Perfect service... friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Very tasty food.

Menu is overwhelming, disorganised and didn’t translate the dishes well, ending up in disappointments. e.g. “Chicken wings” was x2 lumps of minced chicken in breadcrumbs in a bowlful of thick sour sauce.
