Excellent meal and very good service

Amazing Thai food and place! Flavours were really authentic, perfect level of spice. We had dim sum, fried tofu & spring rolls for starters, followed by Thai Red Curry, Massaman & Pad Thai for mains - all really tasty, warm and hearty. Understood vegetarian requirements, and really friendly service!

This was just fantastic. As someone who eats Thai food every week, this has to be one of the best, most authentic Thai food I’ve had in London. The owner is lovely, food reasonably priced and good portions and tastes amazing. We have had the red curry, massaman, pad Thai, different starters and nothing is to fault. We will for sure be back.

Have been going here for about 30 years, Im happy to saybits hardly changed, superb food, family run, even the decor has not changed. Proof in the saying " dnt fix somthing thats not broken" its a food gem of Holloway.

Recently moved in the area and saw this place was open and I’m so glad I decided to walk in. The food is absolutely phenomenal with authentic flavours. The lady that served us was very kind and made ordering so pleasant. We will 100% be back!

We were introduced to Nid Ting Thai by a local in the Archway area. Otherwise I don't think I would have known about it because Google doesn't bring it up when searching for Thai restaurants in London. And judging by the rest of the customers in this relatively small restaurant - it's the same - as they all looked local. And although it was a Saturday evening, it was completely full as we observed a couple of parties having to be turned away since they didn't have reservations. Nor does Nid Ting seem to care too much for delivery takeaways - in short - we got the impression that their rather small kitchen it aware of its limitations and doesn't wish to be overloaded - certainly not by takeaway orders to the detriment of dine-in patrons - an attitude that is to be applauded. As for the food itself - there's plenty to be pleased about, especially at the very reasonable prices. To me the stand out was the tom kha gai - my favourite Thai soup - as this was the first time I'd had an authentic one in London. One of my other favourite dishes is a green curry. In this instance we ordered beef instead of our normal chicken and again - it was very good. Honestly, this is a dish that one can eat with steamed rice and pretty much nothing else. If I had to fault it, the curry could have been a little thicker in consistency, the dish didn't include Thai aubergine - and like all the other Nid Ting dishes, it could have been spicier. In fact that was my overarching criticism - that the dishes weren't spicy enough. Many of the Thai restaurants in London don't get the sweetness of the dishes high enough but in the case of Nid Ting it was the other way around - they got that spot on but perhaps not quite enough sourness - especially in the squid salad that we ordered for example. But in all the dishes, and particularly the salad, there wasn't enough spiciness. The tilapia fish was another example - sweet but lacking in sourness and spiciness. In terms of texture - it was perhaps a little overcooked. The same went for the fish cakes, which were tasty but a little too thin and slightly overcooked. The pad thai was good in the sense that there was no gooiness that you often get outside Thailand - but there wasn't enough charring of the noodles - what the Chinese call 'wok he'. Would we come again? For sure. Their prices are very reasonable and the location is easily accessible - a short bus ride from Holloway Road tube station. Perhaps the one disappointing aspect of Nid Ting was the service. Thais are known for their smiles and the staff member who served us did indeed smile but he was extremely scatty - expressing exasperation that we were ordering piecemeal rather than all in one go. It's a shame that such enjoyable food should cast a cloud over the experience of the evening.

Very friendly and homely Thai restaurant. The food and the atmosphere feels very authentic. Serving sizes are a little smaller than you might expect but the quality is good and the price is not bad at all.

The restaurant was pretty full and the lady said that we would have to wait an hour for our order. We said ok, and sat at an empty table, there were 4 empty tables. She then came and very rudely yelled at my wife that dont sit here, go outside and wait half an hour, then you can come in. Really ridiculous. If you don't want to hire staff, don't try to run a restaurant.

Manger so rude, when online the prices for the egg fried rice is £3.25 but she’s charging £3.95 and she also shut the door in my face not good customer service.

Excellent thai, extremely fresh and tasty. Proper authenticity, just like being in the streets of Bangkok. Service was nice and friendly. We had 5 dishes, all were delicious. Som Tum was probably the best we've had in London and the lamb massaman was just so tender and well balanced. Prices were great and portions were good sizes. Definitely highly recommended.

Fantastic. The food is really tasty and service is also excellent. Portions seemed slightly small at first, but I was actually stuffed (I had a starter and a curry with rice). Prices are more than fair, too. 10/10 would highly recommend.

WOW!!! An absolute gem of a place, the best Thai I’ve been to in London and the whole of the UK. The most gorgeous dishes made freshly and very good portions. Have been coming here for years and honestly is the best Thai going!! A must try is the stuffed chicken wings, super delicious and very authentic to Thailand. Couldn’t recommend anymore

Very good food. We order the menu for 4 people and it was plenty. We were all very satisfied. I will recommend 2nd Review Came back with my gf to eat. We ordered the set menu and it was just delicious, everything was very good and we had enough to take away some of the food home to enjoy it tomorrow. I don’t ever write reviews but the Penang curry from this hidden gem of a restaurant has changed my life. The best curry I’ve ever had and I have tried multiple Penang curries since from other Thai restaurants even in Asia but none of them compare. Everyone needs to try this!!

This is our local. We get take away regularly and eat in at least once a month with various friends all of whom are very keen to return. The food is flavoursome. It’s inexpensive. Prawn pad Krapow - £7.50. If we’re pushing the boat out the deluxe seafood krapow is only £13.50. The staff are delightful. There’s nothing not to like.

One of the rudest places I have ever encountered. Plenty of other - more pleasant - Thai places to give my business to.

We really enjoy the food at Nid Ting. We used to live nearby so went regularly but now go when we have the opportunity. I think the fresh ingredients and blend of spices is what makes the Thai curries special. The mixed platter starter is definitely recommended. Well worth a visit.

Great local place with a nice cosy vibe. Very clean, warm service and delicious food. I find other local Thai restaurants and takeaways to lack flavour and balance (usually dishes are too sweet and don’t taste authentic), but the dishes here tasted correct to me. I really enjoyed the stir fried beef and the red curry. Would love to see sticky rice on the menu for a fully authentic experience!

I have eaten a lot of Thai food in London, but this is the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. It’s authentic, and I suggest you to come hungry so you can try as much food as possible. The prices are great and the service is amazing. They are so friendly that we ended up talking with both the waitress and the chef. 10/10 value for money. They make other Thai restaurants look inferior. I will be back here.

Easily the best Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at in the UK. The couple who owns the restaurant are just lovely and their food is authentic and amazing. The tao hu ob woon sen (vegetarian, or get the version with prawns) is probably the best dish on the menu, but you can't go wrong. Also highly recommend the chili oil, which they make at home and has a really unique, delicious flavor. A hidden gem in North London!

I have tried many Thai restaurants in UK and found that this restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurants. I ordered 'Choo chi pla', a special menu and 'tod mun' for take-away. I really enjoyed with these foods. The price is reasonable. Recommended.

It’s a truly authentic Thai restaurant, even better than those in HK! I especially like the Tong yum kong which is fresh clear and a bit spicy . I am a regular customer and I always go back whenever I think of Asian food. The service is excellent the waitress smiles all the time and responsive. I am so lucky to discover this restaurant.

Been coming here for years and finally got around to leaving a review. That should tell you everything. Reviews are something you'd normally do on holiday but this is like our local. Gentle are caring, good food, very good prices. The pictures of Thai royalty on the wall are a novelty even if it's not your thing.

Really excellent Thai cuisine - attractively varied menu and really outstanding, mouthwatering cooking. Service quick and friendly - a really great experience. Our first visit - we'll be back for sure. Only the atmosphere is a little aseptic, but that seems a trivial detail beside the superb food ...

Last night we visit our favourite Thai restaurant again. I’ve got to say on behalf of my family, this Thai restaurant was the best Thai meal that has entered my mouth in years .... HIGHLY RECOMMEND.... We’ll be a local regular customers, Thank you Nid Ting Thai, the lady on the phone was lovely to get the booking & the was on point; as well as the takeaway orders and the restaurant appreciative services xxx We found this restaurant open since 1994, there are several international restaurants in Archway Holloway Road, Nid Ting Thai is a wonderful clean and friendly Thai. The food is tasty, good portions and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The lady, who we guess is the owner’s wife, was so lovely and friendly. The owner is such a knowledgeable and best Thai chef, the starters we ordered were mixed and fantastic, then for mains we shared the authentic Thai recipe and fresh food in the menu with lots of choices which was enough to satisfy 6 of us and good tasty Thai dine in and takeaway restaurant in Local area. The food was so nice, the best Thai we've had in a very long time, not the greasy and flavourful food we enjoy eating. The food is yummy and the service is excellent. It’s definitely worth coming!
