Honest Burgers in Lambeth

Having just arrived to spend a few days in London we found this burger place!! Everything we ordered was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. To highlight the treatment received by Daniel, he treated us wonderfully and speaks Spanish very well, so we felt at home. A charming Daniel and very professional! We will be back

Honestly (no pun intended), I didn't realise that almost their entire menu is gluten free. My littlun could have onion rings, wings, burgers, chips without having to worry about being poorly... I wish there were more restaurants that took this approach because their food was totally delicious and we could all share safely. Fabulous service from the Waterloo branch who were diligent and delivered amazing food to our table quickly. Will 100% be going back to HB wherever we see them...! ❤️

Solid burger and fries here. The tribute burger wasn’t the most outstanding burger I have ever had but it was definitely good. Fries had a nice texture. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained.

We discovered this burger restaurant on our visit to London and we really liked it. The atmosphere is excellent, the service is unbeatable and the food is delicious. A super cozy place where you can eat luxuriously. Totally recommended.

Can’t fault it. Excellent food, perfectly cooked burgers (had the special with pickled shallots, rocket, Brie and poutine-like fries), food served hot. Service friendly, punctual and, well, honest.

Huge burger selection with tasty options. The rosemary chips were excellent, and they have a decent drinks menu as well. The stools at the tables aren't very comfortable, and the place gets quite noisy when busy.

All burgers available gluten-free, fries too! Nice, friendly staff, unfortunately little space, but otherwise great!

Hi, I just recently visited the Waterloo Honest burger and the waitress Dani went above and beyond to recommend the best burgers on the menu his service was outstanding

I asked for a medium burger, and got served the most pink burger I’ve ever seen. Please excuse the photo as it looks as though the cow is still mooing. Is this the new medium? Bad, bad , bad .

Good service, good burgers but those rosemary salted chips are just way too salty and full of loads of greasy scraps. It would be nice to have a French fry option and go easy on that salt. I need to recheck my blood pressure after that!

Very pushing and burgers sucked

Burger was absolutely delicious, i got the smash burger, with chips that were quite dry and unpleasant, also i asked for a side of onion rings, which is a side, but they couldn’t perform that? Pretty stupid, why would it matter. Anyhow, also had a home made lemonade which was okay, but too zesty and not balanced out much. I would definitely recommend coming for a burger, but definitely wouldn’t recommend the chips. Also reasonably priced too.

Confirmed our booking yesterday for a table of 7. We turned up tonight to be told it’s been cancelled as they are too busy. Awful service.

Stopped off here about 8 pm on a Sunday night. It was busy but they made room for us. As a vegetarian I'm wary about any burgers as I usually get second best. But the veggie burger and chips that I had here was the best I've ever tasted. My wife was also impressed with her chicken burger. Reasonable price and great atmosphere.

Great vegan burgers - Both the Plant and the Bacon Plant were tasty. Plus the chips and onion rings are a treat - the biggest onion rings I have ever see! The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Visited this branch on Friday 1st March, after placing our orders, drinks and food, we noticed that the staff had forgotten about our orders. After reminding the staff and chasing a second time, the drinks arrived about 1/2 hour late, Next table’s food arrived after very few minutes of ordering ( even they noticed!). 40 mins later and 4th reminder, the food arrived ( with luke warm fries). When we tried pointing out perhaps it’s worth addressing the issues with more (any) staff training , the manager unapologetically pointed out that mistakes can happen. The place was not even half full. The manager kindly deducted our bill (drinks). Unfortunately the attitude amongst staff was dismissive , pretending nothing was wrong. Disappointing!

The food was nice as usual. The service a bit slow. Didn’t bring us our bill for ages even though clearly had people waiting for tables. But the worst thing was the toilets. For some reason they were mixed sex but they were also filthy. One had no light the other so much water on the floor I just didn’t go in the end. Nowhere to hang a bag either. Completely grim and unforgivable in a popular restaurant.

The food and the atmosphere were as great as always and we really enjoyed it, however, the service on this occasion wasn’t as good as usual. We waited quite a long time to be served and only got served as at some point we decided to call someone to take our order. The wait for the food to arrive was just as long even though it wasn’t very busy and only half of the tables were filled. And then we barely finished eating and got the bill delivered even though we never asked for it and wanted to order another drink. Hopefully this was just a one time service fluke cause I’ve been here many times before and the service was always much, much better than this…

Had lunch on a Friday one of the best burgers in a long time the chips were handcut and very crispy definitely be back 😋

I never thought I could eat such a good Gluten-free/lactose-free burger! Amazing dinner, very careful also for contamination. Very nice place, welcoming and friendly staff, extensive menu. Super recommended, it's a real gem.

The burger was ok but the fries were overdone was dry and hard. The window seat was a bit too cramped. Customer service was ok I wouldn’t complain. I wouldn’t revisit as other Honest Burger branches are better for example the one in London Bridge.

Disappointed in the quality of the food that was ordered to go. The burgers were extremely salty, quite disappointing especially since we never had this issue before. For this price, the burger was barely edible, it is unacceptable.

Cute little place, with large and small tables - somewhere I am very comfortable to eat on my own when in London for work. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend the Waterloo burger, but basically everything is good and great to have the option of a local beer too.

Amazing food. Service people were friendly. We were in a rush and we had had our food about 16 mins after ordering. The fries were excellent. Highly recommend.

We have tried this place on Boxing Day, the place was busy, but we managed to get a table, they offered a table outside, because we had our little doggy with us. We ordered 2 burgers and one kids meal, we were surprise with the size of the kids meal very good (our son is 11 years old), the burgers were delicious, I didn’t like the fries a lot because they have strong Rosmery flavour but my husband liked and my son liked a lot his food…the price is very good too and the staff very nice! We will back soon.

Had late lunch at the Waterloo restaurant with family and friends (11 of us in total) as part of a Christmas outing. Between us we all had a few different burgers from the menu and everyone loved their food. Great chips too. Good service and all reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Have been to this very outlet twice! Great burgers as usual. Nice service. We got veg fritters and it tasted like heaven. They do have high chair and is kids friendly

So, chain eateries sometimes pick up a poor reputation as they expand, and for a good reason. What makes them appealing when they’re small (think Bill’s) can be lost as they open sites at a rate of knots. Happy to say Honest Burgers, at least from this first visit, seems to have dodged that fate. Buzzy atmosphere (queue out the door early evening on a Saturday), good/quick service, tasty food and decent prices. I also liked that it’s a small space, but that might be to everyone’s taste. I’ll be back.

A very decent burger in this busy chain restaurant. The service was very quick and friendly enough. I was in a bit of a rush, so that suited me fine. The Waterloo burger was very nice along with a decent amount of fries, more than I wanted to eat. I will probably go back as it is nearby to an event I attend regularly. I like the fact that each store has its own special burger and the price includes the fries. At other burger shops, the fries are charged separately, which I find annoying.

The food is generally good, from what we’ve had at other locations. For this particular visit, we encountered a rude hostess. We were a group of 9 people and she refused to accommodate us together and nor did she give an alternative of sitting us in groups of two. Twas not a good experience, we felt unwelcome so we walked away to Franco Manca next door.

Yesterday I had the best burger ever. Have been in different Honest Burgers before but this one is the best. Amazing customer service and food was so delicious. Compliments to the chefs.

Thank you so much to the guy working yesterday evening 19th Nov for helping our party of 6 get seated. We couldn’t find anywhere else and we decided to wait and have some drinks but before we knew it, he told us they had a table for us. We were so happy! He also was a brilliant server and they were really good with our group’s intolerances, as they always are!

As we entered the restaurant, a nice blonde lady, politely informed us she will be 2 mins and in 2 mins we were sat down with the menu. The guys who served us were very attentive and quick. The food was delicious. We were very impressed with the service. The whole team worked so neat and got the job done without a hassle. Top place to eat, I would recommend! Thank you!

Good was great. The way the menu works is very weird though. You have to have a side with your burger - either fries, salad or coleslaw. They also have onion rings. If just want onion rings, you can’t. You have to have fries/salad/coleslaw. You can choose to have none of these (but you paid for them as part of the burger as the price does not reduce if you choose not to have them) and you then have to pay for onion rings on top. There is no option to ‘upgrade’ your included side to be onion rings instead. So you either have to pay £14 for a burger with fries or you have to pay £18.50 for a burger with onion rings. Totally crazy.

Friendly and helpful staff and good food- excellent wings!

Contemplated for a minute if I’m gonna make a fuss about my experience in the restaurant but I decided not to when I was there. However, I think the context of the story is still worth telling. Context: My order was first delivered to the man sitting beside me. They gave him my double smashed burger with chips and a gravy. The man told the lady server that he did not order gravy so she took it back and left the burger with the man. The man was about to start eating when they realised that he got the wrong order. The lady took the burger back and brought it to the kitchen and gave him a new one. However, he had already poked the wrong burger with fork. A minute later, they brought me my burger. And I immediately knew that it was not changed because the fork marks are still there. I even measured the marks with my fork just to see if it is really a fork mark and it fits perfectly. So yeah. Anyway, the food was not bad at all. The chips are crispy, the burger not too dry and the gravy was tasty. Paid £18-19 including the service charge.

Super pause dans ce petit resto agréable, personnel sympathique. Très bons burgers et frites. On recommande.

Despite asking if we could move table when we arrived, when a table was freed up, the first staff member dismissed our request in a rude off hand manner, stating that they were busy. When we spoke to other staff, all 3 of them started arguing with us. They were quite aggressive and certainly did not put the customer first. All we wanted to do was move into a quieter table out of the open doorway! There was no polite customer service. It was such a shame as the food was good, but spoiled by the rude service. Can’t believe this happens. First experience of this type of aggressive, poor service.

Nice northern soul tunes but the staff are so natural and friendly makes it a nice place, the food then on top is immense. Best burgers start with the bun and the brioche is awesome, and the rest follows. Nice different coleslaw too. Honestly, the best.

Absolutely love honest burger.. Their monthly special is always amazing. Food is always cooked really well and the chips are always full of flavour. Good selection of drinks, including beers and soft drinks. If you haven't tried an honest burger please do.

Ótima experiência, atendimento excepcional, cortez, simpático e atencioso. O hambúrguer estava maravilhoso, no ponto certo e dava para sentir o sabor de todos os ingredientes. Batatas com alecrim super crocantes, secas e saborosas. Provei também uma cerveja regional, mas não me lembro o nome, mas aprovada! Com certeza tetornarei antes da minha partida da cidade.

The Oktoberfest burger was delicious and right sized.

Overall, the taste of the special month burger was good, this time chips were fresh as well. However, the only problem, we ordered three burgers including Waterloo burger which has the bacon gravy and medium meat selection and the server was not the same person who got our order and he gave the wrong burger to me in a rush. Music was loud and we couldn’t understand it properly as well. I started to eat and it was pretty late to get it my friend was eating my burger. Also, toilets were extremely dirty even for washing hands. Waiting time can be longer than you expected, it was rush time but we finished our drinks before the burger. The person who got our order was helpful and friendly.

Horid ,service was horrible got greeting with how many? We replied 7 they said must be the one in front of you in a rude tone we sat because the kids were starving. We ordered the chicken burger it was a flat peice of nothing do not recommend there burger was half decent their bathroom was the worst part we went to wash our hands to find dirt all over the sink with black spots if I don’t even know what it is all I know is that it wasn’t paint. I went to pee to find pee all over the floor and fiecies smudged on the inside of the toilet I have never ever seen anything that disgusting this goes out to other families DO NOT GO HERE

Food is normally good here, they didn't let us down! I had the smashed beef burger and rosemary fries. Yum yum. Restaurant is on a cute little street on a parade of other food places. Very nice. Waitress very friendly and was able to automatically split our bill on her ipad to save us faffing between us !

Todo el menu es apto sin gluten. Todos los sides y las hamburguesas se adaptan con pan sin gluten. Pedi la Honest. Riquisima. El pan sin gluten se puede mejorar un poco, he probado mejores. Las papas buenísimas y la bbq mayo, genial. También tienen cerveza muy rica sin gluten.

Very tasty vegan (teriyaki) and beef (classic) burgers. Ciuld be larger for the price, but maybe it's just me being a naive tourist. Fries were super tasty as well. Staff was super friendly and fun.

A very tasty burger and chips. I had tap water as it was a very hot day. Excellent service, attentive but did not feel rushed. I asked for medium / well and there was a clear difference in colour to my daughter's medium cooked burger. Reasonably priced. Portion size was adequate and it wasn't greasy. Pleasant atmosphere and not too busy.

Came here for lunch as we were walking by and needed food before journeying home. Place was very busy and atmosphere was quite noisy so not so good if you’re after a quiet lunchtime chat however service was excellent, friendly waiter and food was great. Shared a Waterloo burger with a couple of sides, local South East London beer. Burger was tasty, perfectly cooked with onions and cheese. Ted’s tingly sauce was fairly tingly ! Would definitely come here again. By the time we were ready to leave, place had emptied considerably so was much quieter. Toilets were clean and rustic.
