This restaurant was a short walk from my hotel and was happy to find it. We were greeted by friendly staff at the door, and they provided great service for our entire experience. The food was excellent, too. If you're nearby, don't hesitate to give them a try.

I went and was expecting the electric diner I've previously visited and enjoyed. It turns out I arrived on the opening day of a new concept on display in the form of Mexican contemporary dishes, aptly named Maya. My wife and I were looking to share something and get back into the local markets with room for cakes, bakes and all the street food. We shared a Asado pork kebab with pico de galo & charred pineapple. The dish is clearly well thought out, and the flavours we'll balanced. The meat was nice and tender and the Asador finish gave it the air of authenticity it needed to compete with real Mexican cuisine. On one lower note, the food was at best room temperature, and at £19 for the dish alone, it felt a shame. However, I was sat on the open kitchen dining stools, and the chef asked how the dish was, to which I responded: " I'm aware it's opening day so I feel it's necessary to inform you that whilst the food is tasty and well constructed, it was barely warm" The waitress took 40% off the bill without us asking, and the chef thanked me for the heads up. I'd visit again if in town. Opening day teething issues are expected. Overall, great venue, great location, and a promising menu with chefs that seemingly care. 7.5/10.

We weren't at all sure about seeing the Milkmen, one of our favourite rocking blues bands, in this sort of environment, but it was really special. A great intimate gig!

I visited here with my husband last night and I was absolutely blown away by it! We went for the set menu that was £32 (£29 before 6pm), it included a glass of Prosecco, a sharing selection of starters and a choice of pasta each. The selection of antipasti was so delicious, it was also huge!! More food kept arriving, at one point we were unsure if this was also the main course. By the time our pasta came we were actually quite full and only managed a few mouthfuls (delicious though). We ended up taking it to go! I had the cacio e pepe and my husband went with the wild boar ragu, both were delicious! Service was great, the staff were so friendly and even brought us over some nibbles to share whilst we waited at the bar for our table. Price was very reasonable too especially for Chelsea! £8 a glass for wine and all that food and a Prosecco for £32. Unfortunately we don’t live in London, if we did we would be visiting here all the time!!
