Kemi and Agi served me. They are both friendly and work very efficiently. The pub good food and a good wine list.

WE ARRIVED IN LONDON WITH A FRIEND AND THEY RECOMMENDED THE CASTLE PUB TO US. ON SUNDAY THE 27TH WE ATTENDED FOR LUNCH AND WE VERIFIED THAT THE RECOMMENDATION WAS OPTIMAL. EXQUISITE FOOD, VERY WARM AND COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. WE WERE SERVED BY A VERY FRIENDLY, CORDIAL AND VERY ATTENTIVE CITY, THANKS THAT WE WERE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE BECAUSE OUR ENGLISH IS NOT VERY GOOD AND HE HELPED US WITH THE CHOICE OF THE MENU, THE DRINK. AND THE DESSERT. WE WILL SURELY RETURN BEFORE WE RETURN TO OUR COUNTRY. AND OF COURSE WE WILL MAKE THE CHAIN ​​RECOMMENDATIONS! ROSA AND PILAR (ARGENTINA).

Not recommended for Sunday roast, unless you are looking for a consistency tougher than the sole of your shoe. They try to re-heat the beef that was cooked a few hours earlier, not a great result.

Very high quality roast. At 22 pounds it was good value given the quantity of food, especially given comparative price of roasts locally. The roast beef and Yorkshire pudding were cooked to perfection!

I am revisiting London to come to this pub. Camden's Pale Ale is still as delicious as it was two years ago, and the fish and chips are excellent, so be sure to try them. The service is also very kind and kind to those with limited English skills.

The fish and chips at Zakatsuru are always fried crispy and very delicious. This restaurant has many types of draft beer, and the service is very kind, making it a highly recommended restaurant.

Love the staff and the management, good vibes all around.

The blond woman behind the bar is loud, aggressive and rude. She doesn’t seem to know that it is NOT appropriate to berate other staff members in public and in front of the customers, customers who actually pay her wages. She has anger issues which she needs to look at. She spoiled an otherwise nice evening.

Great pleasant place, with friendly service. Easy access to public transport. Loud music may derail your relaxing time.

First time visiting The Castle. They were able to seat us even tho we didn't have a reservation. In town for the American football game. The food was fantastic and the Camden Pale Ale did not dissappoint.

Great spot for a late lunch. Awesome staff, chill vibe. Zero complaints about this place. I would check out their trivia night on Tuesdays on a future visit.

Visiting for the NFL game and stopped here because of the exterior. It was well worth the stop. Our server was extraordinarily pleasant, our food was piping hot and tasted great. Awesome vibe/atmosphere

Casual corner restaurant by West London near Holland Park and Notting Hill🇬🇧. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great drink selections. Had their fish and chips, it was great🥳. If you want to avoid all the overly crowded restaurants, this is a great option for you away from Soho and CG. Give this place a try! 🙌🏻☺️🐟

Fabulous Sunday Roast Totally felt like a home cooked roast Crispy roast potatoes perfectly cooked veg Melting chicken leg , amazing Yorkshire pudding and the most tasty gravy Washed down with an elderflower cocktail

first time to come to this place. vegetable burger is 2/5. long wait, more than 30 minutes to receive the food despite of having it preordered. If your so hungry, this isn’t the place for you. service is 2/5. some do loves the fish and chips (haven’t tasted it). the vegetable burger is bland.. maybe some seasoning or herbs can make it tasty. not my first time to have vegetable burger therefore can tell if the food is good or not.. the bread isn’t that fresh.. they just break apart once held.

I visited with two friends on a Sunday. We had a beef roast and mix roast to share. The beef was really dry, the vegetables were floppy and the roast potatoes tasted re-heated. The roast potatoes serving on the sharing was the same as a single serving and it only included one tiny pig in blanket. For the location of the pub, I definitely expected better. The only thing that saved the meal was the lemon tart, which I don't think is made in-house. It was busy but not full and the only 2 waitress there clearly weren't enough to serve everyone in time. Unfortunately I won't be back.

My boyfriend and I went for a Sunday roast. The location and service were quite good, but the food was just average. The pudding and potatoes were dry and cold, and the taste was also average. We also tried the scallops, which unfortunately came out overcooked.

The food was excellent and the service was amazing. We had a wonderful time and the dessert was the best. Great place to eat and have a good social time as well.

The location is wonderful in the heart of Holland Park, no tourists. The Chef's Special was wild boar sausage, amazing! Paired with wonderful local ambiance, local beers.... highly recommended

Aggie was very kind in keeping the kitchen open to serve us food.

Been here many nights with my work colleagues and other departments we had plenty of space to sit us all with no notice to the pub and we're treated with professional courtesy and happy attitude from the staff. Food lovely drinks good larger from the taps nice because they clean their pipes and glasses washed properly fresh bubbly larger great cocktails and Guinness good quality for England 😉. I'd go there any day you won't be disappointed.

It is now the third time I have visited The Castle for lunch and every time it has been great! The inside is traditional but airy & beautifully & simply decorated, nice polished floors, etc. quiet with a great ambiance. A good variety of food & drinks. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Our waiter on Thursday, 16th May was Stan or San? He has a lovely, pleasant face with an engaging smile and was patient and calm while my friend took a little while making up her mind on what to order such are the delicious choices on offer!! This is one of my favourite places now to have lunch with a friend as I live nearby in Lansdowne Walk. Love the large windows and being able to "people watch" the crowds outside. A great place to have lunch. Well done!

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere but was let down by the food. The charcuterie board meat was just one basic, bland salami rather than the expected selection. The chips with aioli came without aioli, and we were told "we don't have that" when we asked, no apology. The baked camembert had a sweet chilli sauce rather than the hedgerow chutney on the menu and was served in somewhat stale bread.

This was a great relaxed environment with fabulous food and a lovely wine selection. We timed it for steak night. The steaks were perfectly cooked and had great flavours. I'm looking forward to returning in the future.

Delicious food, excellent selection and very good service. One slight problem; I have been frequenting the Castle on and off for the past 17 years and what depresses me is how so real Pubs go down the 'rebranding to Gastro-Pub' route. The only thing that Gastro should be in front of is 'enteritis'. Pubs, especially London pubs as old as the Castle, should embrace their history; yes produce lovely food/move with the times, but don't alienate the drinker and make every seating position/table an 'eating table'. I assume this means if you come in for a drink, if every table is booked, you have to stand........this is not the welcoming atmosphere of a historic hostelry.
