Absolute lazy fake eyelashes / bad lip fillers bartenders/servers. You were so obsessed with kicking out guests for your private event that you couldn’t even be bothered to SERVE THE FOOD - we had PAID FOR IN ADVANCE. We were snarled at to leave at 8pm. O had Ask twice if we could order food. We immediately put in our orders and waited and waited to the point that I had to walk past the bar to see why our food hadn’t been delivered. Of course, lazy twtz hadn’t noticed we deliberately ordered fried fast appetizers that could get us in and out quickly. We have both worked in the hospitality. So fully aware how long it takes from punching in an order to serving it on a table. We would have left at 7.30pm but thank you so much for serving our halloumi fries cold that it was like solid sticks. Calamari luke warm. The chicken was good wth honey chilli. But again, cold. I had no desire to even tip the service, but I thought about the kitchen staff and how hard they worked to put out orders before the private event. We were so hungry and desperate to leave, i had to order more food so we wouldn’t go home miserable. Once again, we were snarled at to leave at 8pm. We honestly didn’t care we were so so hungry. We inhaled that food and left promptly 7:55pm. I was planning to help bus, but why bother trying to help out ungrateful front of house. The rosemary french fries were excellent and the chicken skewers were also tasty. Don’t bother walking in here.

I had lunch at The Castle Holland Park yesterday and was blown away by the chicken, bacon, and avocado sandwich—absolutely delicious. Paired it with a Granny Smith Cider, which was crisp, refreshing, and just right. I enjoyed it so much that I brought 8 friends back for dinner tonight! This time, I had the pork belly, and it was phenomenal—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Once again, the Granny Smith Cider hit the mark. What really sets The Castle apart, though, is the service. Sachin was incredible—attentive, personable, and made us feel like we were old friends catching up. Dom was also fantastic—friendly, professional, and made checkout a breeze. Even after most of our group had left, a few of us stayed just to chat with them. That kind of warmth and hospitality is rare. Great food, amazing drinks, and a crew that truly cares—The Castle Holland Park is now a must-visit spot for me every time I’m in London.

Had a great experience at The Castle Bud in Holland Park. We ordered four different dishes and honestly, each one was better than the last, packed with flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Sachin, who was incredibly friendly and polite throughout our visit. Great food, warm service and atmosphere and a lovely spot overall. Will definitely be coming back!

Although I like the whole pub in general, my review is specifically regarding Agi. I came into the pub annoyed and flustered after just leaving my phone in an Uber, after being dropped off at Holland Park station. At the time, she was the only person behind the bar and yet still was accommodating to me and provided me with a phone to repeatedly call said Uber driver to retrieve my phone all while serving food to other customers, also with food service. I give 5 stars for the food because the food that was being brought out actually looked good. I went to another pub before this one and they were not interested in helping, so Agi really helped and in the end I got my phone back, and had she not helped while attending to everything else, I probably would have lost my phone. Very grateful.

Disappointed from the start. Booked a table and still kept waiting for another 10 minutes or more. Ordered the mothering Sunday roast told 30 minutes later they were sold out. Had to ask to empty the table when we finished starters. Dirty toilets. Beyond a let down. Shame as we were all excited to have a pub dinner which turned out awful. Not going back.

I had dinner with friends, the place is nice, at the entrance there is a strong unpleasant smell, it was very hot; the girls are not very welcoming and not attentive to service. Menu unclear and confusing.

Sitting at the table for 15 or 20 min without a single waiter come and help me, no better decision than just leave.

Your restaurant does not seem to have an email address, so here it is again: I approached one of the waitresses to place my order, but she was serving the previous customer, so I waited. When she seemed to have finished, I tried to speak to her again, but both she and the other waitress pretended to be busy working and would not look at me. Confused, a customer in the queue behind me approached the male waitrer and I was finally able to order. That's all!! By the way, your restaurant seems to be dog-friendly, but treats Asians less than dogs. But that's OK, because I won't be going there again! A female clerk waits for the customer in front of her to serve her, but she doesn't make eye contact even though she knows what's next. It's crowded so it's hard to sled.

We had a wonderful experience at The Castle Holland Park! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service made our visit even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Arianna, who went above and beyond to make our meal with the kids a pleasant and stress-free experience. Her warmth and friendliness truly stood out, and we felt so well taken care of. It’s always a joy to find a place where both the food and the service are exceptional. Great address, everything is homemade breaded schnitzel, shrimp pasta, tiramitsu.... very good! Of course there is guiness. I recommend.

Gran pequeño hallazgo, caminamos más allá de este pub cuando salimos de la estación de metro Holland Park en nuestro camino a nuestro hotel. Me pareció un buen lugar para tomar algo. Volví al pub un par de horas más tarde y tan amable que decidimos quedarnos a comer. Pedido Ensalada de mango con pollo a la parrilla y un asado de nueces de domingo, además de compartir nachos para comenzar. El entrante salió rápidamente y estaba delicioso, caliente y sabroso. Mientras estábamos disfrutando de los nachos, nos dijeron que se habían quedado sin Nut Roast y ofrecieron el wellington vegetal. Cuando salió la red no nos decepcionó, muy bien presentado y tubería caliente. Ambas comidas eran muy buenas y muy buena relación calidad-precio. La comida muy sabrosa y el personal muy amable, no dudaría en volver cuando esté en la zona.

Looked like a cosy pub from the outside and got a very warm welcome from the Argentinian lady who served us. Great selection of beers including Madri which I had. Both I and my daughter were really happy with the excellent Bangers and Mash, in a rich gravy with a bit of rocket and very tasty onions. The Sticky Toffee Pudding with ginger ice cream was very tasty. Prices very reasonable for this part of London;great ambience not drowned by music,which is getting increasingly hard to find these days. Will return if in the area.

I ate in The Castle last evening as part of a group of approximately 20 from Northern Ireland. The food order had been preordered including my own order of Gluten Free Fish and Chips which I'd checked days before on the phone. On the positives, the food for the party was delicious and the service was polite and helpful. On a negative I was left less than confident regarding the ingredients of the 'GF' batter for the fish despite it being suggested to me as a 'GF' option on the phone days before. As I explained yesterday evening, some cross contamination in the preparation I can tolerate, however the ingredients themselves must be 'GF' such as the flour used. I would say to management that some GF dietary requirements, like my own, are not by choice, but rather are medical. I myself will become quite ill after consuming gluten ingredients in a meal. You need to inspire confidence in customers. I was thankful to the service staff who cautioned regarding the possibility of cross contamination, which works for me, however customers like myself need at this point to be filled with confidence that the front house and backroom staff know my concerns and are doing everything in their power to cater for a medical need. That's not the vibe I got and it impacted my enjoyment. GF ingredients will cause me to be unwell after 24hrs. Unfortunately now I'm left somewhat concerned.

Went for lunch with my wife. We shared the cauliflower florets as a starter and both chose the sea bass for our main course. The food was excellent and we enjoyed both courses.

We booked a New Year’s Eve dinner at this pub through their website, excited by their high ratings and the promise of a New Years Eve dinner. Unfortunately, the experience was an utter disappointment. We arrived at 8 PM for our reservation and waited 40 minutes just for drinks and for anyone to come to our table. At 8:50 PM, we were abruptly told the kitchen would close in 5 minutes. Shocked, as we had booked their advertised New Year’s Eve dinner (which apparently didn’t exist), we rushed to order. While the food was fine and tasteful, the entire evening was ruined by poor organization and lack of communication. At 10 PM, they rang the bell for last orders—meaning we didn’t even get to desserts—and we were essentially thrown out by 10:30 PM with the lights turned on. To make matters worse, there was no music or any indication that the pub was celebrating New Year’s Eve. The service was painfully slow, with drinks taking forever to arrive, and one frustrated waitress completely ignored us when we asked for one last drink. The waitress serving our table was polite, but that was the only positive aspect of the evening. What’s most infuriating is that they confirmed our booking via message but never bothered to inform us that there would be no New Year’s Eve dinner or festivities, nor that they’d close at 11 PM. This lack of basic communication ruined what could have been a wonderful night. A real shame for a pub with such potential. I won’t be returning.

This place has amazing food and fantastic service. It's right outside the station to which makes it easy to access. The staff are very friendly. The main courses keep changing which gives you variety as well as something new to look forward to. They tend to do special nights as well

Daughter and friend visiting from L.A., so we wanted to take them for a British pub experience (not the rowdy one...) on Christmas Eve. This one is one of 5-6 within 10 minutes walk for us, but the one we have settled on, as the food and services is excellent every time we visit. We had a great time with the family, overdosing on all the appetizers, and enjoying various martinis. With excellent live music, the night couldn't have been more successful.

House Rose at £31 a bottle doesn't say house to me. The wait between ordering our food & drinks to when we got our drinks and food was nearly 40 minutes. People who ordered after us were served before us.

My wife and I ate and drank here two nights in a row on a trip to London from the US. Fabulous place. Food was great as was the beer. Ambience and atmosphere everything you’d want from a good English pub. Jacob our server was outstanding and very attentive and helpful on choices. Definitely recommend.

We came here specifically to try their well received and reputed Sunday roast not too long ago and enjoyed our visit. While we found t slightly pricier than most pubs and the quality was decent enough, the location justified it. It seemed popular amongst locals and nearby residents too. The food was delicious, arrived in generous portions and we found the staff to be polite and friendly throughout as we stayed behind a bit afterwards just to relax and unwind. Recommended.

Fantastic place, one of the best pubs in London. Not touristy, mostly for locals. Very nice atmosphere, nice people great food and quiet place. You need a reservation. We went 2 times during our vacation and we will be again more times.
