Artist Corner at Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington and Chelsea

I had the pleasure of dining here with a friend, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and was bursting with flavour. Every dish impressed us. We would highly recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely be returning!

Ordered room service for over one hour and it didn't come. After I called to check, they told me order was not received. Five minutes later, order page showed the food was delivered but receptionist said kitchen was still making the meal. Absolutely Ridiculous. F&B manager Orlando Myrae showed no sympathy and did not offer any service recovery. He only asked me if I still want to have the food which was still being made, if not he would cancel the order. Horrible experience.

Came for a late lunch on a Friday April2025. We were the only customers in the restaurant and enjoyed excellent service. The food, however, didn’t hit any marks. The Singapore laksa lacked flavor, the noodles tasted a bit off. The shrimp were flavorless. The Hainanese chicken was, again, just a bit off. Was it the texture of long frozen meat? The accompanying soup was also flavorless. The accompanying sauces were good. We did love the okra with spicy sauce, though. If you want good S’pore or Malaysian food, skip this place. Don’t waste your time or money.

Good food, though the desserts were not amazing. It's inside a hotel, with other restaurants in the same floor area. Would probably recommend Singapulah over Bugis, but Bugis was authentic food and good.

Portions very small, menu did not show full ingredients and did not disclose certain meats. Interior is lovely but definitely not the best food you can get in london and definitely not the best laksa.

Lovely atmosphere with a good selection of Singaporean favourites. Quite happy to have discovered this place as it reminded us of Singapore where we spent many happy holidays. Friendly and professional service from everyone.

Bak Kut Teh tasted quite accurate and was satisfying. - a Malaysian fella. Kavya-P was very helpful throughout the meal.

We tried the laksa, nasi goreng, and mongolian tofu, and everything was super delicious! But prices are a bit pricey. Also, thanks to Kavya (the staff) for being so kind and attentive!!

Really loved the laksa and nasi goreng. Very authentic and tasty. The staffs are very friendly, particularly Kavya. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for good malay food! 👍

The best Singapore Laska! I have missed having this dish. So glad I was able to come and enjoy it on Valentines Day. Flavor is over the top delicious. So many ingredients that all work together & a good bit of heat.

We loved the place and all of the wonderful dishes on the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we will definitely come here again. The waitress Kavya was a very nice and good waitress.

We had an excellent dinner at Bugis Kitchen. Coming from Singapore, I can assure you that the Hainanese Chicken with Rice was authentic and flavourful, with all the accompanying sauces done just right, reminding us of home. Our compliments to the chef. Kavya Poreddy provided attentive and friendly service throughout and made the evening great!

Bugis Kitchen offers a cosy dining experience with friendly service. I ordered the Singapore Laksa and Gado Gado, and the Gado Gado was the highlight! The peanut sauce was rich and flavourful, perfectly complementing the fresh vegetables and tofu. It had a great balance of sweetness and savoury taste. The Laksa was creamy and aromatic, though I felt the flavour could be a bit stronger. Overall, a great spot for authentic Singaporean flavours—I’d definitely return for the Gado Gado!

The experience was highly satisfactory. I have lived in Singapore several years and I can say that this restaurant offers authentic flavors and supreme ingredients. I had one of the best Laksa soup ever and delicious Gado Gado. The service is outstanding; cordial and attentive. Last, but not least, the atmosphere is just perfect, spacious and beautiful, with a selection of elegant and comforting music. Definitely it is a place to enjoy when visiting London. Highly recommended.

This is my second visit to Bugis and the both the food and service were as exceptional as last time. The menu is small but has a lovely variety. The food is served with attention to detail and is absolutely delicious. The price is very reasonable also. The service is polite, efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is slightly lacking, though is largely due to it being quieter than it deserves. The music is a little loud for the setting and a mix of traditional Singapore/Malaysian sounds with an upbeat twist. It can be a little repetitive. I often have to travel for work and when I stay at the hotel, I shall make this my preferred stop

Exquisite authentic Singaporean food tucked away in Kensington. Excellent service and a well-varied menu of Singapore's signature dishes. Well worth the visit and I wish to be back soon.

Good food especially when there is cold and rain outside

Food was absolutely terrible - curry chicken was oily and impossible to eat. Chicken was in almost one piece and it was served together with oily sauce (it was more like soup) in a deep bowl. Beef stew - didn’t have enough juice (as stew must have) and the meat was hideous - impossible to chew.

The curry chicken is very good and the service is good too. Should come and try.

We came here for the good reviews and we were in the vicinity- pricey for what it is. We ordered laksa which was good but pricey, hainanese chicken (tasted good but difficult to eat due to the way it was presented) and hokkien mee (this was just ok...).

Definitely one of the top contenders for 'Best Laksa in London'. The chef knows what he is doing. I personally love it spicy and requested it so, as normally it comes a bit mild. Service is very attentive and professional, and the environment is very nice. Will be coming again for the Laksa!

Its our first time staying at the Copthorne hotel in London. The staff is so friendly and food was amazing!

Laksa was good! Hokien mee... Not so much and the Hainanese chicken was ok. "Free dessert with a google review" is not a proper desert. They offer an ice-cream ball, which we declined. Place is quite hidden in the hotel and they will close at the minute they tell you.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Really good short menu of Singaporean/Malaysian classics, all dishes were delicious, the Hainanese chicken rice was better than many I’ve tried in Singapore. Service was 10/10 too - thanks for a great experience!

The food are as good and as fresh as those cooked and freshly prepared in Singapore Hawker centre or food court. Very happy me 🥳🥳

Had a team lunch there so the menu is a sampler of a lot of dishes and my favourite was Char Siu on the Man Tou (chinese buns), their Satay and Beef Rendang. They grilled the satay (not fried) so the meat is still very moist and just like what you have in the hawker center in Singapore. I love the Man tou so you can order it as a side to go with dishes with which has a sauce like beef rendang. The restaurant is tucked in a hotel so you do need to know the place but very close to the tube station. My singaporean colleague said the Hainan chicken was very authentic. Worth giving the restaurant a try as there aren’t so many authentic Singaporean or Malaysian restaurants around.

Absolutely delicious food. Head chef came round to say hi and ask how our food was which was much appreciated and sweet. Talked about the history of the dishes and the authenticity. Chicken satay to start with and Singapore laksa for main and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Attentive staff but not too much.

Ordered the laksa, the chicken rice and the Mongolian tofu starter. Would recommend all three of them! Laksa has a great balance of coconut milk, belacan (?) and curry. Was also full of tofu, bean sprouts, seafood etc. The chicken rice came seasoned well and the three sauces were fantastic - the chilli and ginger/garlic were my favourite.

We were several people so had lots of different dishes and they were all terrific but my personal favourites were the Laksa and the Beef Rendang. This is authentic Malaysian/Singaporean food at its best. If you like it spicier just ask Chef Lee who is happy to oblige!

The chicken rice is very delicious. The rice is soft, the soup is smooth, the chicken is soft and thick. Just the right amount. It's very similar to the chicken rice in Thailand. Really delicious After eating, I feel very homesick ><

Simple which does not mean basic. genuine and tasty. Courteous staff. Ate early eve and almost empty but midweek. Recommended alone or with Singapore-cuisine liking friends who happen to stay at the hotel.
