A superb experience from start to finish! On entrance we were greeted warmly and our coats taken. No wait for a table, with our research and the waiters dealing with us were all Knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and funny. The food was outstanding with amazing quality and quantity, which goes for drink too. This place isn't cheap (about £100 a head for 3 courses and drink) but absolutely worth every penny! Can't wait to go back

Nice ambiance and interior. The duck confit and the beef Wellington were pretty good and up to expectations. Only major thing was me and a friend both had the venison tartar to start and had stomach aches later that night, but not sure if that is 100% attributable to the venison. I’d say it’s worth a visit (but you may want to avoid the tartar).

Refurbished a year ago, it is a beautiful setting. Bold green pattern on the wall, with green and turquoise, ochre and dark stained wood. Very stilish indeed. The food is delicious. Starter of tuna tartare and tempura prawn. Beautiful combination of flavours and textures and very well presented. Main of monkfish. Cooked to perfection! Harissa on the side it was very hot. The salad, light and perfectly seasoned. Creme brulee, with a thicker texture but utterly delicious, a fitting end to a wonderful meal. In brief, classy and elegant with delicious food and superb service. Not to mention a touch of magic with the very accomplished young lady playing the harp in the evening, just delightful. Very highly recommended!

Memorable for the wrong reasons. Came with a friend for Sunday roast. The lamb was chewy and way too salty for me, like gammon or salt beef. The Yorkshire pudding was dried out. Only the roast potatoes were reasonably edible. My friend had monkfish which he said was not bad. Maybe I was just unlucky but it reminded me of bad school lunches and how British food used to have the reputation of being the worst in the world, especially in the bleak post-war period. The waitress was polite and attentive when it came asking if we wanted to order anything else, but didn't ask how our food was when she collected our dishes and could see I had hardly touched mine. I couldn't wait to get out of there and and like an archetypical Brit suppressed my urge to moan.

Afternoon tea - good, also nice Service but a way to expensive

What started out as a glass of wine catching up with a friend eventually turned into an amazing early dinner. The menu offers enough variety for everyone’s palate. I had the poached pear salad and the chicken. And of course doughnuts for dessert, by which time I was so full I could not finish! All beautifully presented and full of flavours. And what about those truffle fries?? A must visit special spot ever so slightly off the Knightsbridge beaten track. High recommend even if it’s just for a glass of wine or a cocktail

Food is ok, choice of drinks very limited and quite expensive. Service was a bit insistent on us ordering some food.

Great atmosphere and good service. The food was nice but my Monkfish was bland. Mussels were fresh and tasty. And the duck from set menu was great.

Booked a reservation here for afternoon tea because it was walking distance from Harrods. I’m happy I did! The staff were great! I was able to leave my backpack with the concierge so I didn’t have to worry about it while I dine. Some of the staff members spoke Spanish which was a nice touch of home for me. Our server was informative about the different types of teas and which experience would be best for first-timers. The atmosphere was quite nice, the interior design has a playful charm to it with tall windows which allow natural light into the space during the day. The tea, sandwiches, desserts, and scones were all delicious! Definitely will be back when I visit London again!

Robert was an absolute pleasure he guided us to our seats and came back to check we were okay during and after our meal. Our meal was served by Matt who was so sweet! Énrico the manager was very knowledgeable on the wine and helped us pick one similar to the one we had before and suggested some other great wines All in all fantastic! Will be coming back

I went to this restaurant with my husband and a friend of us, when we visited London a few weeks ago. The service was very friendly and attentive. All of us ordered the Capital Burger and after that a dessert. The burger was okay but nothing special. The dessert was very good. Unfortunately during the night, two of us got sick. I even had to vomit. The other day also my husband got problems with his stomach. There must be something wrong with the meat in the burger, as all of us three got problems. After our visit, I wrote an email to the restaurant to describe what happened, so it won‘t happen again to other guests. It is a pity that I never got an answer back, that‘s why I need to write this review now.

Overpriced inedible food. No response to feedback. It was very quiet,, should have been a red flag.

Staffs aren’t friendly but polite, so not complaining. Fancy interior as it’s inside the hotel. But food is seriously overpriced considering the quality, especially poke was horrendous. I wouldn’t even take this for free Do understand 15% of service charge since it’s located in one of the fanciest districts of London, though the overall experience doesn’t deserve 15% service charge

Good food, nice interior, excellent service.

Welcome by Pastora who gave me a huge welcoming as she seated me at the table, she was super attentive and warming whilst serving me. I order the monkfish and fries, the fries were cooked to perfection but I found the monkish too salty, I’ve also ordered the chocolate fondant as dessert and swapped the sorbet for vanilla raspberry ripple ice cream, in which they were very accommodating. They overcooked my fondant but made quick amendments to it which was super kind of them. The decor was rather nice touch to the place as well, In all a great visit and i will be back to try the other food on the menu. and thanks again to Pastora for the attentive service.

Beautiful interiors and refreshing cocktails. Food was alright given the prices, and service was friendly, bar one of the servers. Overly spicy harissa chicken which wasn’t indicated on the menu. Server seemed irritated with our request for some yogurt on the side and was reluctant to change our order. Disappointing interlude to our meal. Would love to come back for the cocktails (Bees Knees!) but hope for better service.

Favourite spot in Knightsbridge. Great grill options. Nice wines. Top service. Looks immaculate after their refurb. Deff worth stopping by! Chef Chris is a superstar! Well done to all the team 👏

I ordered prawn spagetti. The sauce did taste nice, though the pasta seemed more like noodles. Quite expensive.

Came here on a Friday night- it was quite quiet due to Easter. The restaurant is inside a hotel and the decor is amazing, and so was the ambience. Service was also impeccable and I have no bad words about it. We got the octopus to start, which was good- hardly any octopus inside but it was still tasty. We then got the lamb chops for main, which was good but lacked seasoning and had too much fat on it. We got the softshell crab burger which was magnificent, I loved the crunch and the depth of flavour. The mac and cheese was also really good, not too cheesy and well seasoned although I am a fan of a bit more spice. The fries were nice and crunchy, the peppercorn sauce wasn’t the greatest. I think 4 stars is fair but because we had a discount, 5 stars is fair. We had 30% off and our meal totalled £70. They informed us everything was halal except the beef.

Can't recommend this place. While food was ok and waiter was brilliant, porter was very strange. Our coats were not hanged and noone assisted us with receiving them and I spent 5 minutes trying to prove my scarf really belongs to me and I may have it.

Found this by chance as a nearby restaurant. Really glad we came here, the meal was wonderful and sensibly priced. Nice wine selection and again well priced. We had lamb and beef, both cooked to perfection. They really should be fully booked and we were surprised to be able to book a table quickly, good for us but doubt this will be the norm. Nice attentive staff. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Recommended.

Great service and tasty food. The portions were just what you need for a decent lunch. Not too big not too small.

We came here for our 6th anniversary. The setting is intimate and romantic, and the food is truly exceptional. The porcini mushroom risotto with truffle shavings is the best risotto I think I have ever had. The fish dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the service was so personal and excellent. A wonderful experience.

One of the best dine out experience in London! Highlight was the tomahawk steak and the poke bowl. Steak was juicy and cooked to perfecting. Poke bowl was so flavorful. Service was top notch. 10/10 would come back again. :)

I cannot say enough good things about this incredible place. I spent the month in London and came here 8 times since the opening. I highly recommend the poke bowl with the fresh mango, the chicken, the tea time, it’s great for lunch, for dinner and for tea time with even our toddler. The wine is excellent as well and Enrico is the absolute best. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Why have a tea menu with fancy descriptions of Tregothnan tea if you're going to bring out a pot of Twinnings Earl Gray? Cakes weren't the freshest. Sandwiches had clearly been made earlier and stacked for hours, they had smashed together into a single rainbow block of bread and fillings.

The food was delicious. The staff were nice, but it was a bit noisy and there was an incident, resulting in a staff member shouting in Italian. That being said I would go back again.

We came here for lunch and it was outstanding.

The last time I dined at the capital was under Eric Chavot with two Michelin stars. I recall that Christopher Lee was holding court with his wife, daughter & son in law. I missed the Outlaw years. The chef has big shoes to fill. I had a great two night stay in the hotel and we ate very early one evening before going to the Proms so we had the small dining room to ourselves. I really enjoyed the meal; I think my main course was up to Eric Chavot's standard billed as "Rump of new season lamb – celeriac purée, salt baked celeriac, spinach, broad beans & red wine jus" It also had very tasty chanterelles. All that was missing was a sauce spoon, which is something you never see. I shared a starter which was simple but excellent, "Hummus, raz al hanout, fried broad beans & crudités". I was really please to see this on the menu, I cannot recall seeing crudités except in France. Overdue a comeback with the rise in the number of vegan. The service was faultless. The wine choice was very good. My wife had developed a taset for Cuveé B&B Grand Cru Champagne Pierre Moncuit Franc from our stop at the bar the evening before.

Our experience here was… interesting. The halibut tasted like a Chinese Supermarket, and the lamb — like plastic… The waiters were very nice and chill, but they don’t even receive the service fee (included into the bill) most of the time. :/ So, on top of way-below-mediocre food with no taste whatsoever, the restaurant/hotel is also treating their lovely staff unfairly! After we made this £50 mistake, we walked 3 minutes to Al Arez and got two wraps for £11.50 — now that was a flavorful dinner!!

The food was great (we had the fillet with parmesan/truffle chips), and the service was polite, helpful and understated. We'll definitely be back.

Auch London-Besucher lade ich mit Vorliebe hierher ein, weil man herrlich ungestört seinen Champagner und Tee, seine Sandwiches oder die feine Auswahl an süssen Köstlichkeiten genießen kann. This is a great restaurant! It was a complete "experience". The Bar Supervisor "Ms. Martina" gave us the best service and attend every detail. The food is beautiful and delicious! If I were able to rate this for 10 stars, I would! Absolutely my favorite restaurant!

Beautiful tea room we've come across by chance. We didn't book so we were glad to find a place to enjoy the afternoon tea in London on the 1st of January. We loved the entire experience. The service was friendly and attentive, the sandwiches and cakes were delicious they have a variety of teas and there is also a champagne alternative. We loved the ambience; it was relaxing and comfortable. Thank you so much for a great afternoon. I will definitely be returning.

Fuimos recibidos por el anfitrión en la hermosa Capital que nos quitó los abrigos. El director de alimentos y bebidas, Asif Bajwa, nos recibió y nos llevó a nuestra mesa. No solo nos regaló champán para mi cumpleaños y vino de postre, sino que lo vi participar en cada mesa y compartir su amplio conocimiento sobre el vino. Este es un restaurante recientemente reabierto en la "cadena de pequeños hoteles de lujo" en el área de Knightsbridge. Es pequeño pero muy acogedor y vale la pena visitarlo incluso en Nochebuena. We booked this restaurant thinking it was Nathan Outlaw of which we found out it hasnt been for around 10 months, so our fault for not looking into it in more detail. The fish selection was good and they had my favourite John Dory! I found the restaurant too bright and as it was not busy felt being watched constantly by the waiting staff. However the food was okay, cannot compare to what it was before. Probably not return as there are plenty more places to choose in the area, we were shopping at Harrods so thought it would be a good place to go. I think if you were staying here you would be happy with this restaurant though.

The food and the service were excellent. However when we arrived the restaurant claimed to have no record of our booking and not even to be members of open table! This caused a considerable delay and spoiled what otherwise would have been a lovely evening.

Lovely afternoon tea here. Room was cosy and felt as if we were sitting in an old English country house. As the setting is very intimate (fitting only 4 tables), the atmosphere could have been improved with some relaxing background music as it was a little awkward without this. Fantastic teas - great quality and selection. Asif and the team were very welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again when I am back in London. Thank you!

We went for Christmas lunch and we were welcomed by a very courteous door man and then friendly receptionist and warmly welcomed by Director of Food & Beverage. He is a very genuine and experienced hotel professional and a very gracious host . Food was delicious and it was one of the most memorable Christmas family lunches we had . Salmon was very well presented as well flavours of cheese were the high lights of the lunch. Turkey was really nice and we enjoyed very much . Service was flawless and Christmas Decoration on tables was very much suited to a luxury hotel like The Capital . We received a gift on our way back and was given by Director of Food & Beverage and he mentioned it’s from hotel management. It was a really nice gesture from hotel and highly appreciated . Lobby Christmas tree and fire place were perfect for this festive

We were walking around Knightsbridge at lunchtime and came upon the Capital Hotel and it's restaurant. Wow! The welcome was lovely and the food exceptional. There was a nice list of wines by the glass and the menu was wide enough that there was a real choice from meat to fish to vegetarian. My mutton was perfectly cooked as was my husband's plaice. There is no question that we will be back next time we are in London. It's a gem.

We have been to these restaurant several times for special occasions over the years, and we have always enjoyed the food and the dining experience. Today was however another story. On arrival, we were shown to the bar, and asked 3 times by 3 different people whether we had a reservation, during which time we were asked to enjoy a drink in the bar (for which we were of course charged). We were finally shown to our table 30m after we arrived, and when we received the menu, we were told 'it had changed' - so only 2 options were available, either game-mushroom-celeriac, or take the game out and you have the veggie option. The starter and the main tasted the same - both were covered in mushroom sauce, and the main was the size of a starter (a piece of guinea fowl 6cm long, and 1 wide), served with (I counted) 10 4mm square cubes of a root vegetable. Arrive petite 4 courtesy of the restaurant, and here we have 4 gellies coated in sugars. Now all of this would have been borderline acceptable had we not booked through a website a lunch deal, which included half a bottle of wine. The first bill to come included the wine charge - apparently when we were presented with the wine list and asked to pick (and we chose one of cheapest wines anyway) nobody thought to mention the wine included in our deal was not on the list. We were also charged £55 for a bottle of prosecco, most of which we took home (to the disgust and mockery of the staff, who thought us cheap), where a glass was £9. I will leave you to do the maths. All in all we paid over £170 for 2 dishes that had the same mushroom taste, and Prosecco I can find in Tesco for £10. So, the verdict is, we will not dine at this restaurant again, and if you are in the area, I suggest you avoid it too.

Every course was perfect and was served, and the ingredients explained, by the excellent chef.

老舗デパート、ハロッズ直ぐ近くにあるクラシックなプチホテル、the capital hotel内のアフタヌーンティー。デパートや近くのカフェ界隈の人混みが一掃され、こじんまりと更にイギリステイストの素敵な空間で、ゆったりと過ごすことができます。内容も多すぎることなく、手作りスイーツ割と甘さ控えめ、特にフィンガーサンドイッチは美味でお代わりを頂くほどでした。好みだと思いますがスコーンは軽め。紅茶は珍しい英国産のTregothnanがラインナップされており、二種どちらも美味しくいただきました。スタッフも大変感じ良く好印象。豊かな至福の一時でした。お勧めです！

El personal fue muy atento a los detalles y estuvo encantado de explicar las opciones en el menú para mejorar nuestro disfrute de la comida.

Fine dining attempted expensive and price tag but the food doesn’t live up to it. We attended on a Friday night and there was only one other table there. The food was generally finished well, but the desserts were pretty poor and didn’t match up to the expectations for this kind of price. I can’t see this place lasting for too long with so much competition and better priced food elsewhere

Booked for two people and had to increase to four at short notice. One of my guests was a vegetarian so I needed to amend the tasting menu to accommodate this. Chef happily dealt with this request and the evening was a great success.<br />Would definitely return.

Pleasant setting, refurbished since our last visit. Serving staff including sommelier were very pleasant and enhanced the experience. Scallop starter was on the small side and the sea bream ceviche starter was misjudged - a ceviche shouldn&#039;t taste like a Thai salad minus the sugar and chilli. But mains were all tasty and enjoyable and overall it was a good evening.

My husband and I were advised by a friend to try out Outlaw's at the Capital, mainly seafood. Smallish restaurant, excellent service, and a very good set lunch menu. Good wine list too. The food was wonderful and we would definitely go back again on our next trip to London.

Food was good, service was bit lacking but okay. We dined early so the dinner experience was calm.

New Chefs menu was very good. We felt as if we had the staff&#039;s undivided attention. Wait staff were great. The Chef was very helpful with gluten free options and nothing was too much trouble.The future is looking good for this team. We are looking forward to returning. Michelin stars should appear.

My husband chose this restaurant for my birthday lunch and we weren’t disappointed. There is a wonderful old school charm to this restaurant in The Capital Hotel. Fantastic location close to Harrods and most importantly, great food. The new head chef has composed a lovely lunch menu that we thoroughly enjoyed. The pre starter of cheese scones with avocado and cheese mousse made sure we knew we were in for a treat and left us hungry for more. The next course of London cured salmon was delicious and one of my favourite parts of the whole meal was the pickled cucumber that accompanied it with a horseradish cream. Next we chose the sirloin which was well cooked and came with a spiced butter sauce- again, delicious! Finally my husband chose the cheese and I had the vanilla ice cream sandwich with pear sorbet! Absolutely lovely and I really appreciated the candle and happy birthday written in chocolate on my plate! The lunch menu was extremely good value considering the location of the restaurant and quality of the food so would have no hesitation in recommending the food here. Enjoy!

My spouse and I were staying next door at the Levin, so decided to try out this successor to the highly rated Outlaw restaurant. We were not disappointed. The prix fix menu looks the same, the price is comparable, and the food and service are worth the visit. This remains one of the best restaurants in Knightsbridge.

Great food and service as you'd expect for this price point. Wasn't much atmosphere in the restaurant and while there's nothing to fault, there's other places I'd go back to ahead of here.

I went with my girlfriend to have dinner before St Valentines. The atmosphere isn’t very good as it is a small restaurant in an hotel but the food is very good. We ordered the tasting menu and we ended satisfied. The wine is a little bit expensive but is difficult to find a place in London where it isn’t.

We had the market tasting menu, off peak price of £60. For 5 courses and a flight of wines, which were either exceptional or an exciting new experience for the palate, £60 was brilliant value. The dishes were thoughtfully created and skillfully put together, with the polenta coated hake with roasted cauliflower and jalapeño sauce standing out for me as a perfectly balanced plate of food. The atmosphere was fine; I find it quite hard to relax in formal settings, but the waiting staff made up for it with their welcoming and engaging attitude. All in all, a wonderful experience that I'd highly recommend.

This was a disappointing dining experience.

Disappointed after high expectations and having experienced taster menus in other high class restaurants in London, I’m afraid that Outlaws has to be bottom of the list. You’d expect to see all 5 star reviews if you’re at the top of your game so I’d suggest Nathan goes back to the kitchen and reimagines his taster menu. I love cooking and would make some suggestions if he’s minded to listen.

Good service but food was very ok. Had very high expectations. The cocktail at the bar was great but the tasting menu was a let down with weird combinations that just didn’t work. The menu design and wine pairing needs more work to meet the expectations of a fine dining establishment. Not coming back - that’s for sure.

We booked here last minute after looking for lunch in this part of London. Having enjoyed a superb meal at his restaurant in Port Isaac, it was a no-brainer to choose to eat at Nathan Outlaw’s again! The food was superb - I have a few intolerances which they worked around brilliantly without compromising on the food. Great presentation, friendly knowledgable staff, a good wine list - all ideal for us. Highly recommended

En mycket vällagad och god tre rätters lunch avnjöt vi i en trevlig restaurangmiljö. Fisken var perfekt tillagad och personalen mycket positiv.

What a fabulous evening we had celebrating my wife's birthday. Been waiting a long time to visit Outlaw's and the wait was worthwhile. The ambience was warm & friendly on account of the unexpectedly small restaurant but not cramped. The food was excellent; we started with baked oysters which were surprisingly good followed by London cured smoked salmon. I had the John Dory which was superb and my wife had the Drill. Didn't need the desserts.

We booked Outlaws as part of our foodie trip to London. We had lunch and at £69 for three courses is good value for London. I had the cured monkfish followed by the fish of the day which was a very generous portion finished of with St Clements Pavola. It was nice for lunch but we were not sure we would go for dinner. All in all a good lunch.

Fish was excellent as you would expect from Nathan Outlaw. Good value lunch menu and lovely wine list. Sides really let down the meal. Beautiful delicate fish served with a side order of crispy potatoes which honestly resembled potato wedges, very bizarre! <br /><br />Excellent service and was delighted to see Camel Valley wines on the list too.
