The Sunday roast at Hawksmore was perfect. We added on the cauliflower cheese and stuffing, which I’d highly recommend. Our server, Caso, was also wonderful! He was great to chat with and made our time extra special when he learned it was our anniversary. Hope to come back next time we are in town!

Ubicado en Knightsbridge este restaurante es parte de un pequeño grupo que tiene sucursales en 3 - 4 ciudades de todo el país. Creo que hay 7 ubicaciones en Londres ahora. Las instalaciones en Knightsbridhe no son ideales y las mesas están muy cerca. Estaba muy ocupado y ruidoso. El servicio parecía caótico. Los filetes estaban un poco sobrecocinados para mí. Parecía caer en la categoría de porciones pequeñas/precios altos. He tenido grandes comidas en la sucursal de Manchester. No volvería aquí. Creo que este restaurante es solo para turistas!

We had the absolute pleasure of being looked after by Paige and Ilya during our recent visit to Hawksmoor Knightsbridge to celebrate my birthday — and I can honestly say they made the experience unforgettable. Both Paige and Ilya were incredibly warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine passion for great hospitality really stood out. Paige gave fantastic recommendations, including the anchovy Béarnaise sauce — a real standout — and Ilya impressed us with her deep knowledge of the breads and steak cuts, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. We went for the Ribeye, fillet steaks, paired with the freshest sourdough, olives, and beautifully whipped butter — every bite was exceptional. The service was seamless, the atmosphere was brilliant, and thanks to the fantastic teamwork of Paige and Ilya, it felt like a truly special occasion. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge has definitely set a new standard for us — we can’t wait to return. Bravo to an outstanding team!

I enjoyed an exceptional Easter Sunday roast at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge, choosing the Sunday Feast option that lets you pick your cut of beef with all the classic trimmings. My wife and I shared the 650g Chateaubriand, which was more than enough for two. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour, complemented beautifully by the crispy beef dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, roasted carrots, greens, and rich bone marrow gravy. The whole experience felt like the ideal Sunday lunch—hearty, satisfying, and expertly prepared. Hawksmoor’s attention to quality and tradition really shines through in this feast.

I came to a steak restaurant in the UK, and I just had dinner after visiting the Natural History Museum. The atmosphere was great to have dinner here! The steak was quite delicious~ but it was a pity that I ate a large piece of fat in the middle~ In addition, the mussels are also great. I ordered them once and if they weren’t enough, I ordered more! Another special feature is the "Roasted scallops" The roasting is good and the unique cooking method gives this dish a different texture and flavor! This is a restaurant that I would like to eat at again next time! ! PS: If you like my comments, you can follow them~ I will take photos of the appearance and color of the food I saw on site and present it to everyone. A very average steak and an overall poor experience. Whilst the person serving us was amazing, he was stretched with the restaurant understaffed. I ordered a medium rare fillet but it arrived medium well. I had to wait for a new steak whilst the other five in our group enjoyed theirs. After 10-15 minutes I was offered a free side to make up for the wait. Not exactly compensatory when we ordered an array of sides to share which were all cold by the time my steak finally arrived. The sides, starters and dessert were all below average and nothing to get excited about. There are better steakhouses out there in this price range. Won’t be going back.

Tried this place out because it gets so many good comments through the group. Service was good but food was awful. Can't cook a Steak or Yorkshire puddings. Kitchen was literally too busy for the place to offer the right qaulity. £800 we spent, simply not good enough. We have a restaurant too so know what decent food tastes like.

Me and my partner went there on a lovely Saturday and it was by far one of the best ones! We were greeted by lovely Alina, who shared her knowledge about wines and food and helped us get the best steak paired with such good wine! ☺️ she was attentive, funny and may I say…very good looking 🫢 She looked out for us! Heard good reviews so gave it ago. Unbelievable. The steak is the finest I have ever had. Served with the finest sauce. Bone marrow sauce. It was fabulous. Yes it’s expensive but then for quality you have to pay serious money. The girl serving was first class as was the whole experience. The only down side was we ordered some tap water along with drinks and was charged £6.75 which was outrageous considering we spent £207 . But hasn’t put me off returning. Just won’t order the water next time

Visited Hawksmoor @ Knightsbridge on a Wednesday evening, restaurant was buzzing with most tables full which really is a testament to the quality of food served. I ordered the charcoal grilled ribeye 350g (£43), and admittedly I was slightly disappointed as I felt that there wasn’t a good char and crust on the steak. I requested for a medium rare and the steak was slightly overdone and felt more like medium/medium well instead. It was also unevenly cooked - the ribeye cap was rare as compared to the rest of the steak. The taste profile of the beef tho, was so juicy and the robust flavor was amazing. The saving grace and highlight of the meal were really the sides: bone marrow, tunworth mash and spinach lemon garlic was absolutely delicious. Perfect accompaniments to the steak. Wine selection was extensive too. Overall it was a good meal but I had higher expectations for the steak given it is a steakhouse. Would absolutely come back for the sides tho! Not a cheap meal, so definitely save this for a special occasion!

I recently visited Hawksmoor Knightsbridge. The restaurant is nice and the steak was fine. We shared one starter, we had chateaubriand as main course with sides, 2 glasses of wine and 2 liqueurs at the end. The 2 glasses of wine arrived very late when we were finishing our starter. When we were having our main course even if we had still food on the plate the waiter came twice to ask us if we had finished. Finally, although the food was nice I think it was overpriced (almost 120 per head).

We’ve been visiting this venue for a number of years. It’s cosy and the service is always friendly and warm. Even when very busy, the noise level is comfortable and staff are attentive. Food is always of good quality and portions are generous. The Sunday roast is lovely, so popular it does run out by dinner time. The sticky toffee pudding is the best in London and something I end up craving when it’s been too long!

Dining at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was nothing short of spectacular—a complete 180 from my last visit to Wood Wharf. From the moment we stepped in, we could feel the difference. A huge shoutout to Samuel, the Head Reservationist, who went above and beyond, reaching out ahead of time to ensure everything was set up perfectly. That level of care set the tone for an incredible night. The ambiance? Magical. Tucked away underground, it felt like we had discovered a secret hideaway—a warm, intimate space that made the outside world completely disappear. Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow. We kicked things off with the mussels and Devon crab, and let me tell you—oh my god, amazing. Every bite was packed with flavor. Then came the mixed grill, featuring a fillet steak upgrade that was 100% worth it. Each bite was so tender and delicious. Dessert was a dream: peanut butter shortbread and chocolate tart paired with an XO Brandy—the perfect sweet ending to an already flawless meal. Let’s not forget the wine selection, which complemented everything beautifully. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge, you absolutely nailed it. The food, the service, the atmosphere—all top-tier. The place is in a small street, hidden from sight from the main street. Lovely place, the lighting and the blackboards give it a beautiful vibe. Servers are very helpful and kind. A bit slow, but kind of expected as it is a large place. Food-wise, I did have higher expectations given the over £80 pp you should expect to pay if not the express menus. Ribeye was multiple steps over medium. Although large and nice sweet char on the outside, it did need a side sauce to help. Took 1-star for this. Fries were excellent though. The toffee sunday is a amazing dessert, would come back for it. It was my birthday and server apologized as he was only allowed to give a little candle on a dessert I ordered. Given the custom of the "on the house" dessert on special occasions, seems a big miss. On a £100 lunch it seems a pretty reasonable expectation. I took another star for this. I did pay for it myself as had been told they were good. Would give another try for the meat (first will go back to Backlock with more affordable prices and similar/better quality), wouldn't give another try on a special occasion.

Best steak I’ve had in recent memory. The food, the service, the ambiance, all came together *chef’s kiss*. The staff carefully explained different cuts of the meat according to your taste from fatty to lean, various location of the cut and how that would impact the meat, we learnt a lot from the patient staff that helped us tonight - Anwar (shout out to you and the team for such a excellent dinner!) Go with total confidence that you’ll be well taken care of. The entrance is a little misleading - single door facing back alley without any signage or guidance if it’s open or where to proceed (maybe this can be improved for more people to discover what’s hidden away) Once you descend the stairs, the space open up to a beautiful Great Gatsby lounge vibe space, you’ll have a memorable evening I’m sure. Unfortunately seems like Hawksmoor may have joined the group of restaurants whereby your seating position is based on your race. I'm a seasoned restaurant reviewer with over 24million views so quite familiar with all this Booked a table for one, quick dinner early Friday evening. I was sat by myself at the bar area even though the main restaurant wasn't full. I thought it was just a coincidence but no other guests came to the area throughout my entire meal. All others were led into the restaurant with no waiting time at all As I was leaving , a black couple came in and they were ushered to the same area I was. Would I go back or recommend, definitely not. This is January the slowest month for restaurants so there's no way it can be argued that they were fully booked The food was just okay. Well seasoned steak but too dry so had to order 2 sets of sauces. My recommendation if you still want to visit, Request to be seated in the main restaurant and if declined dine elsewhere. The bar area is basically at the steps at the entrance and cloak room.

Esta fue mi primera visita a Hawksmoor y me entusiasmó ir después de escuchar a amigos delirar sobre la comida. 93 libras para una novia de castillo para dos sin ningún lado abombado. 600 gms. Chateau Briand es un filete entero o en porciones. Como un filete tiene un extremo grande y cónico, recibimos el extremo pequeño. Pedimos medio raro, esperando rosado a rojo en el centro, recibimos un pedazo de carne demasiado carbonizada, sobre cocinada y dura. Había la menor cantidad de rosa en el centro, pero las piezas exteriores venían carbonizadas (degustación de corteza quemada) y resistentes / secas. No vale 93 libras. Teníamos el puré y la salsa. El puré estaba bueno pero no caliente y solo había una pequeña cinta de salsa. La guarnición de ensalada cesar compuesta por cuatro hojas romanas, cuatro crutones, aderezo y una pequeña cantidad de queso italiano. Bastante cojo en realidad. Finalmente pedimos la vieira la para empezar. Se veían encantadoras a su llegada, presentadas en conchas, pero eran tibias en el mejor de los casos, las migas de pan se empaparon en la salsa que simplemente hizo que la salsa se mojara. Obviamente se prepararon con antelación y luego se calentaron mal antes de servirse. Por último, aunque la ubicación de Knightsbridge se ve muy bien, está en un sótano sin luz natural y nada para absorber el sonido, por lo que era bastante ruidoso por dentro. Si tienen música sonando no serías capaz de escucharla, me costó escuchar a mis compañeros de cena sentados al otro lado de la mesa. En general, teniendo en cuenta el bombo en torno a Hawksmoor, era completamente caro y de mala calidad, especialmente por los precios.

This was my first visit to Hawksmoor and I was excited to go after hearing friends rave about the food. 93 pounds for a chateau briand for two without any side dished. 600gms. Chateau Briand is a whole or portioned fillet. As a fillet has a large and tapered end, we recieved the small end. We ordered it medium rare, expecting pink to red in the centre, we recieved an over-charred, over cooked, tough pieces of meat. There was the slightest amount of pink in the centre but the outside pieces came charred (tasting of burnt crust) and tough/dry. Not worth 93 pounds. We had the mash and gravy. The mash was good but not hot and there was only a tiny ribbon of gravy. The ceaser salad side dish composed of four romaine leaves, four croutons, dressing and a small amount of Italian cheese. Pretty lame actually. Finally we ordered the scallop la for a starter. They looked lovely upon arrival, presented in shells but they were tepid at best, the breadcrumbs soaked into the sauce which just made the sauce mushy. They were obviously prepared in advance and then poorly warmes before being served. Finally, although the Knightsbridge location looks very nice, it is in a basement without any natural light and nothing to absorb sound so it was quite noisy inside. If they have music playing you would not be able to hear it, I struggled to hear my dinner companions sitting across the table. Overall, considering the hype around Hawksmoor, it was completely overpriced and of poor quality, especially for the prices.

The carpaccio had way too much vinegar it was overpowering. The scallops tasted bland and didn’t have a good mouth feel since the breadcrumb was soft. The ribeyes had no seasoning meaning it relied heavily on the sauce. The sprouts were boiled and bland then the bacon that came with it was way too fatty so you didn’t have a pleasant experience eating either of them. We also went for my birthday and I was told I would receive a dessert to celebrate but that never came. However, the cocktails were very good, especially the Gimlet.

The food is good. We had a chateaubriand which was tasty … but I can’t help but think about how overpriced everything l was. I ordered a Hawksmoor beer for £7 + service charge and this wasn’t on draft, or a pint, it was 330ml can which I had to pour myself lmao! I think that is outrageous. Given the stiff competition, I’m unlikely to ever go to Hawksmoor ever again. Before you put this in the “you’re just not used to London prices” category, I’m actually very happy paying much more for a super meal … the value for money is awful at Hawksmoor, and that’s a shame.

Beware ! Bar sitting ans stools are not in the main dining room, but a few high tables thrown in by the reception. Not what should be expected for a good Sunday roast. The reception staff showed no empathy to our deceptions and was not willing to find some solution. We had to pass our ways and this totally ruine the sunday road moment we were expecting for a while. Second trip to Hawksmoor. Came the week of Christmas with my family. The steaks were exceptional and cooked to perfection, and the extras like the Ceasars salad, beet salad, triple-cooked chips and brussel sprouts complement the meal perfectly. The atmosphere in the knightsbridge location is ok - not much ambience or stylish. However, the service was the issue and received an average rating, with the biggest inconsistency being the waiter. Not very friendly and when he was interacting with us, was frank and standoffish. The sommelier and bartender were good. Overall, I would recommend Hawksmoor for steak lovers looking for a quality steaks and sides cooked perfectly.

Chanced upon this outlet while I was visiting. Got the ribeye, was delicious but definitely not the best I had. The meat was abit dry. Fortunately, I got it with the peppercorn sauce which made it way better. The sauce was the right amount of creaminess.

Great steak restaurant in London. We came on the recommendation of our friends. They used to come when they lived in London. It's not a popular place but it's very crowded. Be sure to make a reservation. When I say not popular, I mean not touristic. The only problem with the environment is that it is extremely noisy. Otherwise the kitchen is amazing.

Very nice service, the food on the other hand, we ordered a medium rare fillet & rib-eye, when the food arrived the meat was pretty dry, and did not live up to expectations… We also ordered beef dripped fries, these tasted and looked the same as McDonalds fries. We also ordered buttered vegetables, only to be greeted with buttered lettuce, it was good but vegetables is supposed to be multiple vegetables. All in all service was good, food was alright. Price for the money = Not worth it.

Good. Not great. The Sunday roast isn't on the same level as Blacklock for sure. Discretionary service charge *and* now a discretionary charity donation (this is a new one) loses a few stars too. My sister's meat was mostly fat. Our waiter was a bit slow and I think there were two of them who thought they were running our table. I've eaten here once before and the London Bridge and Edinburgh ones and the experience was better previously. Either it's gone downhill or they were having a bad day. In any case, the business practice of two discretionary charges left a bad taste in my mouth. This was my last visit to a Hawksmoor I think.

Supposed to be wheelchair friendly but the knackered ramp they brought out to get me over the hug strap in the front door was the start of the downtrend. The service was fabulous until we opted for the express menu and asked for the corkage charge to drink our own wine 🙁The food was disappointing for me but my husband enjoyed his starter of beef & bacon potted meat whereas my smoked mackerel salad was full of mackerel bones, the potatoes were still hard in the middle and were drowned in a horseradish dressing which was far too overpowering for me ! The mains, both steaks were pretty good but both had sinewy strips which were difficult to cut and the chips had been cooked until the potato inside had disappeared into its crispy outer casing leaving greasy husks in place of plump chips. The atmosphere was chaotic and as we were unable to tell staff apart from customers with their lack of even a uniform clothes colour, never mind an actual uniform or even a meagre Hawksmoor apron ?? The restaurant was busy but the atmosphere was totally filled with the ‘ staff ’ running round like headless chickens….. we had 5 different members of staff looking after our table throughout our visit despite the lady who had been introduced as the person who would “ be looking after you tonight “ …… we never saw her again !! The service charge was covered by the card machine lady saying “ oh and the service charge is included here “ ….. no mention of it being optional !! We won’t be returning to a Hawksmoor restaurant, overrated and overpriced I’m afraid 😟
